Backlink to homepage or internal pages
Im not sure if it is better to send backlinks to internal pages or just send all to homepage to increase authority. The site has new content constantly added so I think of the homepage route.

As this is a authority site plan 5-10% links to home page to increase authority and remaining links to your inner pages to rank better. Also maintain the anchor text ratio.
My site is big, near 1000 indexed pages. The homepage is just a brand without any keywords.
Ok. It is recommended to have few links to home page also. Concentrate more on your inner pages.
I recommend 20 to 30% to home page and others to the inner page..

Send some links to homepage. If homepage is strong, she will pass juice to inner pages.
If there is a keyword that you really want to rank for then start sending links to that page will be the quickest way to make more money.
Inner pages will always rank better since they bear context. You should prioritize them for linking. For big sites, 5-10% to homepage is good enough.
I have a site of a similar size. All links to homepage. Your internal pages will pick up links on their own.
Focus more on the inner pages...lso have few backlinks to the home page too..
