  2. The SPOOKY METAL Shana got
  3. gief research info
  4. Vrahn05/22/2019
  5. Well
  6. Tell me about the research you have conducted.
  7. Skippy05/23/2019
  8. In no particular order, the following tests would be done by Shana and Emily.
  9. How does it react to the various elements/schools of magic?
  10. - Light
  11. - Shadow
  12. - Arcane fire, frost, and lightningininginging
  13. - Chaos
  14. - Fel
  15. - Nature
  16.
  17. Does it absorb, repel, or not give a shit about any of the above?
  18.
  19. Does it give off an aura of any kind?
  20. How easy is it to scratch?
  21. How easy is it to bend?
  22. Does it sheer?
  23. How heavy is it?
  24. Does it conduct electricity?
  25. How well does it conduct heat?
  26. How well does it hold head?
  27. How high can I heat it up?
  28. Once it has reached its 'max' temperature, repeat all above tests.
  29. How easy is it to work into a different form while under any of the above states?
  30. Skippy05/23/2019
  31. I do still have my duel Bloodletters with their chaos damage as well, for what it's worth. And I can provide the dismantle kit things, too.
  32. Skippy05/26/2019
  33. @Vrahn halp
  34. Vrahn05/26/2019
  35. - The metal does not react to any of the elements listed in the opening section in any way that would be unexpected for metal.
  36. - It radiates a vaguely unsettling aura of shadow.
  37. - It does not scratch when this is attempted with most conventional materials.
  38. - You'll have to elaborate on how you attempt to bend it, but it generally speaking does not bend.
  39. - You'll have to elaborate on how you attempt to cut it, but generally it does not sheer.
  40. - It's fairly heavy, certainly more than steel.
  41. - It does conduct electricity well.
  42. - It holds heat quite well.
  43. - You'll have to elaborate on how you are trying to heat it, but it seems to be very difficult to get to melt.
  44. - It reacts consistently as expected from metal that is hot, etc.
  45. - It is very difficult to work, does not bend easily, does not break easily, etc.
  46. Skippy05/26/2019
  47. So it's just really hard, durable, spooky metal.
  48. Vrahn05/27/2019
  49. That seems reasonable.
  50. Vrahn05/27/2019
  51. It is rather spooky though.
  52. Skippy05/27/2019
  53. So even pew pewing it with light or shadow magic causes no reaction, correct?
  54. And whatnot DC do nerds need to feel the 'aura of shadow' and as well, how close do they need to be? Does storing it inside some magical Mad Mans Luggage which is basically a bag of holding prevent nerds from feeling it at all?
  55. Vrahn05/28/2019
  56. Pew pewing it with magic doesn't seem particularly effective and it doesn't elicit any kind of weird reaction.
  57. Except I suppose that it doesn't really damage it but you might expect that cuz metal and all.
  58. There isn't much of a DC with regards to sensing it, it just makes people close to it feel unsettled, a bit spooked if you will.
  59. Varen05/28/2019
  60. Your loins tingle with unease at the sight of a bulge within Shana's bags..
  61. sorry
  62. Skippy05/28/2019
  63. I wanna turn it into a pair of daggers.
  64. Bloodletters, but, y'know, unique and stuff
  65. Vrahn05/28/2019
  66. How much metal you got?
  67. Skippy05/28/2019
  68. 5 metals
  69. only the 5 you game me
  70. Skippy05/29/2019
  71. If that isnt enough for two daggers (plus other material, of course) then I might try and make some lameller leather armour
  72. Skippy05/29/2019
  73. Or one really nice 1h sword
  74. Lemme know if there's enough material for any of those options
  75. Vrahn05/30/2019
  76. Yeah any of those options are fine.
  77. The lameller actually is a bit much
  78. You could have like reinforced leather or something.
  79. Still mostly leather but with some bits of metal etc.
  80. Skippy05/30/2019
  81. Mmkay
  82. Would it be possible to work out some designs, and then pick one of them? Rather than committing before I know
  83. Skippy05/30/2019
  84. I can come up with some proposed suggestions for items, and you can hit me with the cost in material, prod, and whatnot if you like.
  85. I know you hate doing work
  86. Vrahn05/31/2019
  87. Sure go for it, but the production process is going to be difficult.
  88. I highly recommend doing some RP with folks who make weapons and crap, etc.
  89. Skippy05/31/2019
  90. Oh, absolutely. In the event I decide to make either a pair of daggers or a sword, I kinda need someone with weaponsmithing- since I've got like... 3, or something. Outfitting wise I should be fairly alright though, given I'm maxed out.
  91.
  92. I'll draw up some suggestions here for tonight.
  93. Skippy06/05/2019
  94. So going off of some of the proposed changes to the Bloodletter token that're coming down the pipeline I'd like to propose the following items:
  95.
  96. Dagger pair (name to be decided by whoever crafts it): 26-54, Dex 5.0, Per 5.0, 2% crit, deals chaos damage. - Cost in crafting both would include all 5 ingots, as well as two daggers with the bloodletter token already on then. And productivity. (effectively just replacing the token of each already existing dagger)
  97.
  98. Going off of the currently existing Gambler's Sword
  99. 1h sword (name to be decided by whoever crafts it): 25-105, Dext 6.0, Per 3.0 2% crit, Dodge chance +4, deals shadow damage. - Cost: all 5 ingots, plus the cost of a standard epic 1h sword. And productivity.
  100.
  101. Going off of Malorne's Armour
  102. Leather armour (name to be decided by whoever crafts it): Armour Rating +15%, Magic Resistance +5%, Dodge Rating +2, Starting Energy +4, Max Energy +2, Shadow Resistance +25%, Crit +1% - Cost: all 5 ingots, plus an already existing epic armour token (effectively replacing the already existing Malorne's Armour token) and prod.
  103. Skippy06/06/2019
  104. I also have some stuff I got from an event that whatshisname the old head keeper gave me that was supposed to be used to craft some special armour (scales from a sand reaper queen that attacked the port city, and some of its venom)
  105. So if need be I could add those in to help justify the improvements
  106. Skippy06/11/2019
  107. @Vrahn plz
  108. Vrahn06/11/2019
  109. Sure sounds fine. Numbers and effects subject to scrutiny of course.
  110. Skippy06/11/2019
  111. Vrahn y u do dis
  112. Numbers/effects is kind've what I need sorted out so I can decide what to go after.
  113. Skippy06/11/2019
  114. I guess in the mean time I'll start trying to find someone that isn't Lucifer to craft weapons lol
  115. Vrahn06/12/2019
  116. @꧁𝓔𝓵𝓵𝓮꧂ At this point it's up to you with the balance numbers and @Varen When it'd be implemented.
  117. But what was suggested sounds fine.
  118. :ok_hand:

  120. @Skippy move all of this into a project thread on the forums ples
  121. SkippyToday at 12:48 PM
  122. I'd rather not have everything open to public viewing.
  123. As futile as that thought may be.
