  1. And so reads the paper:
  2.
  3. O, how the heart aches
  4. O, how the mind quakes
  5. Thee, who bears
  6. So soothe thy nightmares
  7.
  8. T'is prophecy which stands afore in everlasting ink,
  9. Who speaks of time of gold brought to ruin,
  10. Rise up o champion, for present champion falls, and sets the wheels in motion.
  11.
  12. Yet thou ist not chosen, for thous't lack the key.
  13. Four stand afore, with two at the sides,
  14. And innumerable uncertain allies all around.
  15. The greatest burden is yours.
  16.
  17. Four worlds drawn together, four cardinals flutt'ring free,
  18. Each with wings pure as soul, yet unknowingly blessed by fate.
  19.
  20. The first champion found in sunrise, birth'd of a champion upon said rising sun,
  21. With no cradle for life and yet profound reverence for it.
  22. Rise up so high she shall, carried on the wings of the time of gold,
  23. Only to find the golden light hath torn her wings and let her fall.
  24. In this greatest hour, this first shall never believe her footing.
  25. Shoulders stand firmly fixed, but she shall believe them half their worth.
  26. O, first borne chosen, thine pure tears of divine fall silent.
  27. Silent and pure, like the sanguine drips of the same.
  28. You shall know death, for it is all around you.
  29. And yet...Thou shall create death so only to prevent it.
  30. This shall be your greatest burden.
  31. O second chosen, thou'st know the pain of the first.
  32. Ever searching, thine bearer of great magics,
  33. These and more flow from thine heart.
  34. None greater at understanding,
  35. None greater at compassion,
  36. None greater at sadness,
  37. Thine ist second chosen, borne of legends long lost.
  38. You shall know death, and it shall destroy you.
  39. Death itself shall be that which weighs most heavily upon you.
  40. Death itself, your greatest burden.
  41. Never to know thine great importance, and yet,
  42. The second chosen shall choose the third.
  43. And O! Ye second chosen shall choose,
  44. And such third chosen will be a grand foil,
  45. But great champions forge great bonds, and thine unbreakable.
  46. A burning desire,
  47. A burning fury,
  48. A burning longing,
  49. Thou'st the third, knowing once more the pain of the first and indeed the second,
  50. And it shall be the only pain you know,
  51. For all else will crumble from your plumage like ash.
  52. But in this loss thou shall find comfort, like honey and slufer,
  53. Both shall leave no taste, for yours is a mind anew.
  54. Thou'st been cradled by death, and death does cradle you,
  55. It nurtures, yet you forget yourself in its chilling grasp.
  56. It shall become the greatest burden in simplicity,
  57. That your burdens cannot last, lest they crush your heart,
  58. And you may erupt into great violence and lose yourself.
  59. You shall know death, and after death you will know nothing but death.
  60. Thou'st been chosen, but thou'st died.
  61. And so the world asks:
  62. Why?
  63. Whyfore hast thou passed before the time of greatest destiny?
  64. Why, when thou'st bear the choice of the second, hast thou died?
  65. It is only through the choice of the second that you do live.
  66. The time shall come where you are needed...
  67. But even divination,
  68. Even prophecy,
  69. Even sight of the future knows not what blurred lines hide thine heart.
  70. Shall you watch the world burn, or perhaps yourself burn?
  71. Will you ease the world's greatest burden?
  72. Thou'st already died, so burdens of others you may not bear.
  73. And so ye fourth,
  74. Like the third, thou knows death.
  75. So many moons ago did thou kiss death's cold cheek.
  76. Thou knows the same pain as those afore,
  77. Thou knows death.
  78. The world afore you gone,
  79. The world anew lay afore.
  80. It shall not be the first chosen,
  81. But it shall be one who shares the celestial name,
  82. That shepherds you away from death's embrace.
  83. Watched by Light and held by Dawn, thou'st known ultimate mercy.
  84. One thousand early breaths soothe your rest,
  85. But a greater calling pulls you to where Light has left her mark,
  86. Mark'd by Light and watched by Dawn, it is your touch,
  87. O, fourth chosen, it is your touch that will summon great magics.
  88. Thou is without a great burden, and so thou is the key.
  89. But thou cannot cure this burden alone.
  90. No chosen can.
  91.
  92. O, four chosen, thou know not who you are.
  93. Thou shall not be summon'd of accords within one's self,
  94. But rather guided by the one who believes.
  95.
  96. Believe, chosen. For she believes.
  97. And it is she who listens for these words.
