  1. ==Primordial Age:==
  2. The universe is born from the carcass of a singular being known by no name, recognized by none, and loved by none. Its flesh becomes the building blocks of life as it degrades, its body becoming the matter of stars and planets.
  3. A blade that exists infinitely in size is embedded in the being. This blade is the home of the Hammermen, beings from before the primordial age.
  4. ==Age of New-Birth:==
  5. Intelligent life emerges and goes through all stages of life culminating in fusing into one singular being. This being is the first of the council, a god by no pronounceable name. This god, feeling loneliness, finds another planet and seeds it with life in much the same way the Egyptians believed that life was ejaculated into existence. This planet now acts as a womb, its dominant species destined to one day become a god.
  6. ==The ages of higher beings:==
  7. Within several million years many gods have been born, each a representation of the culture and people on the realm they'd been born. A strong culture of paternity fails to exist among these amorphous beings as they now grow decadent. The beings are shapeshifters that exist only as masses of souls bound together by will.
  8. ==Age of Humanity.==
  9. Pre-human life seeded on Earth by the god chosen to seed it, No'Khim. Process of god creation involves shaping evolution to create forms similar to what was considered ideal by the gods.
  10. First humanoids begin to die off in endless winter. One of the great angel-like aids of No'Khim takes pity on the last human, mates with him and bears its children, entirety of the pantheon from Earth to the rest of the universe is appalled.
  11. No'Khim is ostracized.
  12. ==Age of the Empress:==
  13. Basically from here somewhere along the line the gods fight a war and No'Khim dies. The angels are left on Earth with no fucking idea what to do. Humans are an angel hybrid species and were allowed to exist only because no one had any idea what to do with them.
  14. Angels decide to reclaim Humanities souls to hopefully revive No'Khim and save both themselves and to reincarnate humanity.
  15. Somewhere around a World War 1 level of technology the angels wage war on humanity.
  16. Humanity denies that this is happening at first until another crossbreed, born as the child of another one of the greater angels, is brought forth. She exists due to the love that angel had had for humanities mother until she was executed for breaking the cycle.
  17. He basically birthed her in an attempt to recreate his waifu.
  18. Her human mother runs away from this figure known as the "Deceiver" and dies to one of his demon-like creations.
  19. On Earth a cult known as the "Bison of Shadowlands" worship the primordial forces of the universe unbound by any god or spirit. They fail to realize they are being manipulated by the Hammermen. They possess an ancient artifact which is a mask given to humanity by its "mother" as a parting gift to the man she loved.
  20. The mask morphs to a shape representing its master and grants them unending life. It freezes their soul and, on death, reincarnates them instantly near their corpse.
  21. They decide to create a human whose soul is fully bound to the mask.
  22. This human is tortured for years and locked in the physical form of a child. He frees himself and spends his next few years as a wandering insane doctor running from the cult and the church as he would die if separated from the mask. His life would be the first comic. He winds up being forced to slay the misunderstood angels in his fits of fear and anger but ultimately fails to convince the decadent governments of the world that this clusterfuck is about to kill everyone.
  23. He finds the dying mother of the child of the deceiver and, whilst on the run from both demonic entities, angels, the government, the church, and the cult raises her as a daughterfu.
  24. The second comic would focus on the ridiculous war between the supernatural entities of the world and humanity. The doctor, by this point, has died to a being far stronger than himself. His sword, having slain many, is claimed by a pig-like demon named "Temm'a" and dubbed "Maskbane".
  25. The girl had grown faster than was humanly possible and became a Jew-like member of a shadow government colluding with the worst of humanity as she corrupted society in an attempt to murder the angels.
  26. The war was brutal lasting almost fifty years of constant, all fronts, total trench warfare against beings humanity could not possibly describe.
  27. Every effort went to the war as all nations pooled resources. Finally, humanity killed all of the angels.
  28. And then, when the ashes cleared, they realized they had also died. There were naught but 19,000 humans left.
  29. And the world was becoming very cold.
  30. ==Age of the blood wine.==
  31. The woman, who was a cruel being who used the souls of the dead soldiers as fuel for killing the angels, was betrayed by her five accomplices and slain for her soul which was divided amongst them.
  32. As she died her most loyal of soldiers stood by her side. She gave onto him the mask of her father and told him to live and reform the world.
  33. The simple soldier was corrupted by the mask who hated his soul. The mask elongated his form over the course of the next two hundred years as he wandered on a totally dead world.
  34. His fingers splayed out inch by inch, his legs thin and tall, his arms lanky and monstrous. His mind was, likewise, destroyed as well as he turned his views on the halfbreed into ones of worship.
  35. He slayed each of those that betrayed her. He entered their cities, filled with their human-like creations known as "Homunculi", and killed as many as he could.
  36. He never even saw the few humans who yet lived.
  37. Claiming the souls for his own the mask guided him towards genocide. Soon he found himself in the place where No'Khim impregnated the Earth, "The Tower", and sacrificed his existence for his dogma. He was quite literally erased from time in all ways as his soul was consumed to rebirth the halfbreed as a goddess.
  38. At the last moment as she melted the ice and killed the enemies of man, bringing forth the beautiful lands once more, one of the last few of the Homunculi tribe stabbed her in the spine.
  39. She died and where her blood fell rose a city of night. The city of greater Homuncala. At the center of the city The Tower rose forth higher than before as the Hammermen sat upon their sandstone seats.
  40. ==Age of Desert Man:==
  41. Humanity bred with a few of the masked angels during the winter. These angels sided with the Mother of Man and chose to bask in the beauty of halfbreed men and woman. These were mostly lesser angels and their seed was potent but lacking power.
  42. From these angels they had many generations of children during the winter until finally, expending their souls to give their children life, they mostly died out around the great melting.
  43. From here they founded nations in the great desert basing off of the cities of old. They built atop these ruins salvaging what they could and resurrecting the magics of old. The Hammermen smiled as man practiced their ways and shot forward ever farther into the sky.
  44. The Homunculi began to expand but found quickly that with their gods, the betrayers of the halfbreed, dead they were unable to breed in sufficient numbers.
  45. Discovering the tomes of their elders they realized their folly; they were not meant to exist.
  46. There was no system to allow them to gain souls from the sources of all life. The only way they had been able to breed was by stealing the souls of mankind that had ambiently existed up until humanity once more began to breed.
  47. The greatest empire by this time was the expanded city-state of Archduke. A strong nationalistic land similar to the old Prussian Empire and Nazi Germany.
  48. The Homunculi declared war on them. Archduke made gains as they fought against the human goy forces of the "Terracotta Empire" as they had begun calling themselves. However, the strength of a true fullbred Homunculi was such that it could wipe out many reclaimed pre-winter tanks and post-winter Landnaughts in but a single flick of their finger.
  49. The war dug itself deeper as man called upon their cultists, the descendants of the "Bison of Shadowlands" now calling themselves the "Noble Bison".
  50. Finally, the Homunculi discovered an ancient weapons cache from before the winter. Inside they discovered the pinnacle of mankind's technology, the Seele Bomb.
  51. The bomb was detonated in the center of Archduke.
  52. Every single man, woman, and child of Archduke not in the field or of the Bison died that day. All except for one.
  53. The boy's father had left for war as a tank driver and his mother was an alcoholic. He spent everyday staring out upon the parades and military operations. The militarized-state was his very being and his ideal of perfection.
  54. His name was August Crowley, a boy at the time.
  55. When the bomb went off he walked among the ashes, following the ghostly apparition of a girl his age. She called him, beckoned him, and he came. Hungry, thirsty, and tired he found it buried in the dirt; a formless mask.
  56. Upon his face it formed into an old style of Gasmask popular in the army of Archduke long ago.
  57. The boy was raised by the sentience of the mask as it played with his mind. Finally he fought against both the Terracotta Empire, the Bison who had betrayed Humanity for the favour of the Empire, and all other things.
  58. He killed with little prejudice as he rationalized his actions as being for the sake of his nation long dead. He fought, each death a pain he felt, each scraped nail broken and bitten.
  59. He fought godlike beings and lowly soldiers, magicians and travelers, merchants and high-wizards of the Bison, all with nothing but military dogma and time.
  60. Finally, August Crowley climbed the tower. Up at the top he realized how long he'd been fighting. Humanity could never go back to nation from their time in the Empire for they'd been as sheep for years.
  61. When he fought he now reddened his blade against inhuman creatures yet even now he was beginning to doubt. Finally he met with the Hammermen who explained their true desire; to become gods.
  62. They'd become tied into humanity in such a way as to allow it. They would be the consciousness of the godhead of Humanity's collective soul.
  63. Why?
  64. Because they were but hands, physical pieces of something greater. It had all been a ploy from the start.
  65. They used the tower and Crowley's mask to form the godhead, leaving only August and his mask as the last life on Earth.
  66. They fought for years until Crowley was finally caught. He destroyed the mask on purpose and entered into the eternal world of the mask's consciousness.
  67. The godhead left the Earth as but a barren empty wasteland.
