Guide on how to use Facebook Gaming

Where is the stream?
The stream will be on TMR's facebook page, fb.gg/themexicanrunner. Live announcements will still be here and on twitter.

How do I follow the stream?
Just click the follow button. You can enable notifications through the standard FB notification settings.

Do I have to have a FB account to watch?
Nope! Can watch in browser or by streamlink etc (see below)

How do I chat on Facebook?
Facebook chat uses your personal Facebook account. If you have a brand page (like a business page/creator page), you can interact with the stream with that, although it appears to be browser only. You can also create a new individual profile just for chatting if you'd rather keep your profiles separate (or if you don't have one at all).

But maybe I don't want to chat on Facebook!
Ventus is working on a site that will show the facebook stream embedded next to twitch chat, just like the current twitch layout. TMR will be able to read that chat along with FB chat, so you can continue to chat via twitch. You can also always just pop-out the twitch chat window. Both of those solutions are browser only.

Is there a mobile app?
The normal Facebook app will work, but there is also Facebook Gaming app on Android in beta: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.facebook.games

Does Facebook do subs, bits, emotes, etc?
Yes, they have a very similar setup to Twitch. You can become a "supporter" for $4.99/month which unlocks "stickers" (huge emotes). You can also buy "stars" which work exactly like bits. I believe the cost for stars is exactly the same as bits, as well, although there may be ways to earn stars for free, too. Donations have always been through a third-party site, so that will not change.

For anyone wanting to use your local video player of choice (that also supports streams, like VLC or MPC) to watch TMR's Facebook stream. Check out:

The Facebook URL only has to be replaced with the actual stream URL. It also works with the VODs (see above). But i'm not sure if there is any static URL for the stream. Looks like you always have to replace the URL each stream.
But Streamlink in combination with a separate chat avoids Facebook completely.
