PERSONALITY: Taeyang / Rae Yoon's personality is true to her blood type. As an AB, she is the kind of person to take things at her own pace and not worry about the little things in life. She enjoys her freedom and independence and will put up a fight if she feels like they are at risk. Although auditioning now, she has always been the studious type, taking pride in her extensive knowledge of, mostly random, facts. Her personality can go from the sexy cool type, to little sister in seconds. She is quite outgoing and easygoing, and will happily strike up a conversation with almost anyone about anything. If necessary, she will take on her role as older sister and offer guidance and advice to those who need it. Sometimes her advice is not great, but she tries her best. Because she tries to keep up her positive image to the public, this can lead to random outbursts of bad moods and long rants if she has bottled it up too long. Unfortunately her close friends are the ones to bear the weight of this, although she apologises afterwards. BACKGROUND: Born on Jeju island to a small, loving family, Taeyang spent 14 years of her life in a small house not far from Jeju City. She spent a lot of her time as a child playing with her neighbours and, lovingly, annoying her older brother Oh Jae Yoon. During her second year of middle school, Taeyang had to leave her close friends behind to move to Seoul for her father's promotion. Despite her outgoing nature, it took her a while to adjust to a completely new environment, although she soon settled in and began to study hard, wanting to make the move worth it for her parents.  Although not smart enough to get 1st place, during both middle school and high school, Taeyang was always in close second and (on rare occasions) 3rd. After high school, she went on to study Business Administration and Seoul National University, much to her parents delight. During her time at the university, her mother fell ill. Her father's job was not enough to pay for endless hospital bills, and Taeyang wasn't earning much at her current part-time job. As her brother had left for America in order to study abroad, it was up to Taeyang to help her parents. Along with late nights of working and studying, she spent a lot of time auditioning at talent agencies, only earning minor roles in unpopular programmes. However, over time, Her mother began to recover, thanks the hard work both Taeyang and her father put in, and encouraged her daughter to continue her dream of becoming an idol. Through her auditioning she started to find a passion for performing, and started teaching herself to dance and sing., applying for as many agencies as possible.
