battleMETAL Linux Install Instrutions

1. Install the following dependencies:

darkplaces
libjpeg62:i386
libjpeg62
libsdl1.2-dev
libpng-dev

ie: sudo apt-get install libjpeg62:i386 libjpeg62 libpng-dev libsdl1.2-dev darkplaces

2. Change your display resolution so the width is at least 1600.

3. Run the game with the follwing command:

darkplaces -basedir $HOME/.config/itch/apps/battlemetal/battleMETAL_Beta_v1.0.1_linux/ -bpp 16

4. Open the graphics options menu and make sure the screen resolution matches your display resolution.

If you happen to change the bits per pixel setting to 32 and experience sluggish mouse movement, change it back to 16.
