Please excuse Kai DeMarco’s absences on Thursday, November 15; Friday, November 16; and Monday, November 19, 2018. Kai was volunteering at Camp HLC in Boulder Creek, CA for Hope Loves Company, the only non-profit in the U.S. dedicated to supporting children and young adults who have or have had a loved one battling ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) or Lou Gehrig’s disease.

The mission of Hope Loves Company® is to provide both emotional and educational support to children and young adults who have or have had a family member battling ALS. We provide free programs and resources including Camp HLC, Family Fun Days, Teen Retreats, Hugs of Hope care packages, educational materials, children’s books, and more.

Camp HLC® is our premier program to support children and families affected by ALS. Campers enjoy recreational activities such as swimming, archery, and canoeing, while also learning coping skills and receiving much needed support. Hope Loves Company hosts Camp HLC in New Jersey, Indiana, Massachusetts, Florida, California, and Illinois.
