Envy is pleased to announce, one of many ideas we like to take from other guilds, the rank of HALL OF FAME!!!!!!

Xaphus and I saw that Limit has a Hall of Fame rank for retired players who still maintain a character to a pretty high standard and we liked this idea. We started toying with the idea towards the end of Eternal Palace with our very own @wowcat stepping in and doing a tremendous job substituting while @orangeorange was late coming home from work, and even as far back as BoD with @hydro who was 2/9 mythic with only Stormwall and Jaina.

Now I'm sure you have some questions:

What is the Hall of Fame rank?:
The Hall of Fame is a spot for retired former <Envy> main raiders. We can utilize this system to offer substitutes for when we have attendance issues or to supplement in people playing off specs to maximize everyone’s performance playing the spec/role they are comfortable with playing at the time. For example, we need a third tank for Orgozoa, everyone knows cave is hating it.... Good news we have DEADLYSTRIKE!!! JK He's Hall of Shame.

What is the benefit of being Hall of Fame?
These people have the opportunity to help the guild. That's enough right? No probably not. Well they get access to <Envy> raid channel's in discord? Still not enough? Okay, they get an expedited trial process like @wowcat did where we do a short interview to see their excitement and availability for our raid times. Still not enough? Okay they have a chance at getting gear from farm bosses or progression bosses we utilize them on (Don't worry, we will NEVER trade them gear a main raider can use, the only downside is if they get the gear and can't trade it due to personal loot) and if that's not enough Hall of Fame players will be in line to get raid mounts AFTER ALL main raiders have secured theirs.

How does this affect me?
1. If you're a class like myself who has different specializations that the raid can utilize, we have a backup instead of forcing poor @Ryuetor to heal which he has expressed on several occasions a distaste for. If you would like to utilize your off spec, please let us know, we will give everyone a fair chance to prove themselves worth of the mantle, MULTISPECCER!!!! If we see a clear performance dip in mechanics or the inability to keep up with the others of the same role/spec you will be asked to return to your original role/spec and we will substitute in, in the most optimal way possible
2. If you are having an off night, didn't seem to do your homework on a fight and are consistently failing a mechanic, are a class that is underperforming on a particular fight, officers are getting a particular amount of complaints about a lack of something we need that you aren't providing, having connection issues, or you are extremely late to raid. You may be asked to sit for that boss in substitution for a Hall of Fame raider.

THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE IN TROUBLE OR IN DANGER OF LOSING YOUR SPOT! All this does is give us an opportunity to continue progression for the team while trying something else out instead of banging our head against the wall or waiting for you.

What if we hate the Hall of Fame player? Don't worry we are always listening to our raiders, even if it doesn't seem like it. We are not going to force everyone to raid with someone they dislike from a different era of <Envy>. Though the Hall of Fame rank doesn't have a traditional trial process we can learn from our trial process, upon request we will immediately create a trial channel and put that player up for a vote. If the player fails that vote they are out. If it's close, we will have an open discussion on the player and why they are up for a vote in the channel and revote after a period of time for observation. If it's majority win the player will maintain Hall of Fame status.
