The end result of this trick is actually quite simple. The final goal is to RBA with "No Mask" (the red X in your inventory when you currently don't have a mask I'm your inventory) on the II button. However there are 2 things in normal gameplay that prevent this:

1.) Adult link cannot equip masks to his usable buttons
2.) Link cannot equip the No Mask as child or adult.

In order to make both of these possible, we need to use several exploits to get around this. The first is known as Inventory Overstuffing:

Unlike on N64 OoT, the item menu is not organized with designated slots for each item. There are still specific slots for each item in the games memory, however it can be organized in any order on the item menu. Because of this, it is possible to dupe bottles over certain item slots, and then equip those item slots before you actually have those items. This may seem confusing, but basically, you're filling the slot with a bottle which acts as a placeholder until you get the real item. You can then put thay bottle on your II button, and when you get the item that has its slot duped over, the bottle will revert to that item.

The problem is, the game has a check for this! If you have an item equipped that you're not supposed to, it will put it in an empty spot in your item menu. If there are no empty spots, it will swap the item out with either bombs or bombchus, since wither adult or child can have these two items. So basically the goal of Inventory Overstuffing is to make both of these conditions impossible. To do that we need two things:

1.) Make sure there are no empty spaces in the item menu for the item you are trying to overstuff to go back to
2.) Make sure the item cannot be swapped with bombs or bombchus

The first step is fairly simple. Fill up your item menu with at least 21 items. You can take some shortcuts here by RBAing to dupe bottles over slots that normally don't take up there own spot in the menu like ice arrows or RBA to get bottle 4th bottle without doing the long and tedious pow hunting.

- RBA for ice arrow slot is with hookshot on II (not longshot)
- RBA for 4th bottle slot is with red potion on II

After collecting all of these items, you need to trick the game into thinking that you don't have bombs. To do this simply dupe over the bombs and bombchus. If both of these items have bottles in their slots, the game will not swap this with the overstuffed item.

Finally, you want to equip the duped bottle in the slot of the item you're overstuffing so that therr are no empty spots in your item menu and no bombs or bombchus to swap with. Then collect the item that you are overstuffing and it will stay equipped that that you can use it even though it's not supposed to be in your inventory.

Once you have this item overstuffed, every time you enter a load zone, the game will check if it can move the overstuffed item back into your item menu. So if there is an empty slot or bombs to swap out with entering a load zone, the game will swap your overstuffed item.

Application:

So as stated before, we're using the inventory overstuffing glitch to get no mask on adult link's II button so that we can RBA it. To do this, we dupe a bottle over the mask slot so that adult link can equip it, then revert the slot back to a mask and then trade it so that it becomes no mask. When you go back to adult, no mask is overstuffed and will stay equipped.

Once it's on your II button, this trick works exactly the same as it does on N64. You RBA over your quiver slot so that instead of a quiver, it's actually a bomb bag! This confuses the game when you win atchery since it check your quiver slot to see whether or not it still needs to give you a quiver reward.

Tutorial steps:

1.) Collect at least 21 unique items
- RBA is allowed to dupe bottle over slots (to RBA, steal the rod, jump in water, enter the fishing pond, exit. Sticks are now on your B button. Break all of the sticks and dupe a bottle over them. Have bottle in hand and hit backflip, bottle, then B. Finally catch or dump bugs in the B bottle with your desired RBA item on II)

2) Have forest temple completed so that you can return to child

3.) Get bottle on B (explained in step one)

4.) Dupe over bombs and bombchus
- Have the ammo at 0. Then have a bottle in hand and hit backflip, bottle then bombs/bombchu

5.) Have access to 2 or 3 masks in the mask shop. Have at least 1 untraded mask. Dupe a bottle over the Keaton Mask.

6.) Put the Keaton Mask bottle on your II button as adult and have all slots filled in your item menu and no bombs/bombchus

7.) Trade get the most recent mask from the mask shop and trade it.

8.) Go adult and dupe a bottle over the B button again (you should already have deku sticks on B, so just do a bottle dupe) FOR STEPS 8 AND 9, DO NOT ENTER A LOAD ZONE WITH ANY SPACES IN THE ITEM MENU

9.) RBA with no mask on II by catching bugs (do not dump the bugs or use any other catchable item for this. It has to be bugs.

10.) Play and win archery to get the quiver reward.
