  1. My interest in video games started when my brothers got their first computer. Since I was a child I was too young to actually use it but it intrigued me and made me really curious about the magical worlds inside this machine. Watching my brothers play video games on their computer was one of my favourite activities. I believe that they are the reason video games are my passion today. I'm not just talking about playing games, I love creating and designing them. I believe that by attending your university I can develop skills that will guarantee me a great start in video game industry. I'm interested in every aspect of creating a video game, from designing it using creativity and psychological knowledge, to coding and testing it.

  3. I was interested in video games since I was a little boy, therefore it wasn't a surprise when I chose IT school with speciality in programming video games as my high school. It was the best decision of my life so far. In this school I learned coding, basics of web development but more important - teamwork and persistence. Self-studying was a big part of my high school experience. I've read many book about programming, quick thinking but also psychology - I figured that this would help me in designing levels in video games in a way that I would know what a average player expects and what he enjoys. It actually also started my interest in psychology. My mind was always filled with ideas for new games and they never stayed in a form of just an idea. One of my biggest achievements was creating a board game as a school project. I was one of the two people responsible for the game mechanics so I am certain that taking part in this project was beneficial for my video game designing skills. When doing this project I realised that the passion is not enough to make a game. You need a good set of skills, as well as a good team, or at least good organisation to actually complete any sort of game. This project also made me aware that I love being a part of a team. Teamwork is something that I thrive on. I love the fact that you can share and discuss your ideas with your colleagues or hear some constructive criticism, that way you can usually get the best of everything. It all started as a small project for a national contest but it turned out to be much more than that. In a team of five we designed and made a complex board game about Warsaw uprising that won already two national contests and we are currently in the process of selling the rights to the game. Working on this project ensured me that designing games is what I love and that it is what I want to continue doing for the rest of my life.
