Felix Story - Demeter

Felix stared out at the immense battle before his eyes, he could see the rounds being exchanged between ships, becoming embedded into the hull of IMC and Militia ships the same. Many ships had already been lost due to the Militia's push on Demeter. He was focused on the ships, he didn't even hear his commander being speaking, the words not registering until he was partway through his sentence.

"-attacking our largest refueling depot, the Militia think they can shut the door on us. You will correct that perspective. Graves out"

The platform he was on suddenly stopped lowering, as his squad ran into the drop pods behind them. He followed them into his assigned pod, as he fastened his restraints over his shoulders, locking him into place in the small metal container.

He heard another IMC soldier come over the radio
"I hate this part"

"Cut the chatter, initiating drop sequence"

Felix was unprepared for the sudden increase in speed as the pod was released, sending the squad of 4 pilots down into the large planet beneath them, passing large carriers in a blink of an eye. A feminine, robotic voice came over the comms of the dropship.

"Standby. Approaching shock layer."

As soon as the Computer had said that, the pod shook with extreme force as the pilots were jostled in their seats, the breath being knocked out of Felix temporarily. The pod then came to a sudden stop as it impacted the ground, the door opened and their restraints raised. Felix grabbed his standard issue Hemlok Assault Rifle and began running towards the point marked on his HUD as "Point Alpha".

As he ran inside, he spotted a terminal. Quickly going back the way he came, he called out to a random Grunt, "You! You good with computers?". The Grunt nodded quickly as Felix motioned for the Grunt to follow him. He then pointed out the terminal, "I need you to keep the Militia from accessing this hardpoint, I'll cover you. We all know what happens if we fail."

The grunt simply nodded before the clicking of keys could be heard, the Militia losing access of the terminal near instantly.

A few uneventful minutes later, Felix felt his instincts flare up as he heard something extremely quiet directly behind him, as he sent hit elbow backwards with force, hitting something softer than a metal crate. He spun around as a Militia pilot flickered into existence, his cloak dropping from the impact. The Militia pilot was instantly on the offensive, headbutting Felix, dazing him, then sending a kick towards his chest, knocking him into the wall. His chest was in extreme pain as he stuck the opposite wall, his vision blurry.

He watched as the Militia began to walk up to the Grunt, oblivious to the fact there was an enemy behind him. With the strength he had left, Felix grabbed his P2013 and raised it towards the pilot, sending three rounds in his direction, two hitting his side, with the last striking the pilot in the head, killing him instantly.
