  7. In regards to the character's background, I believe that wealth and power can be a delightful contrast to Alex's life. It also gives a looooot of flexibility when it comes to roleplay. ^-^

I don't want her to be doing these things out of hate or disgust. For example humiliation is big for me, but if I feel that the person doing the verbal humiliation is doing it out of true disgust etc it just turns to a turn off. If I know that the person is doing it because they enjoy it and like my character it can drive me nutts.

Given our backgrounds I think Omega attending a fund raiser or a similar event with Alex working for the catering company serving the event. That could be the first way they would interact. From there she can offer him a job just to keep him closer. After all a college student does need the money to survive. She could even buy out the whole catering company. Alex is on a one year contract.

I usually like to see how the characters evolve on their own, with a bit of an initial milestone. I guess that being Omega's boi is that milestone. :3

The Lady Shaiydi had been overseeing preparations for the event for over half a year, and everything was rolling out with utter perfection -- exactly as she expected it. For herself, Omega knew she had to delegate as much as possible; this way, she could mingle. As the oldest of her family, she is the head of household as well as singular authority on The Estate, in the little country of Shemhazai, which was not that far away from Egypt. There were many people circulating around in various groups, eating foods, drinking fine alcohols, and talking about the things rich folk get together to talk about. And of course, everyone was there for an impressive 20-course meal at $15,000 a piece. Multiply that by about 1,300 people, and it was an impressive event to be told. Each donor would also be able to contribute more, if they so chose.

Her eyes were smoky tonight, bringing out the pop of the wealthy woman's green gaze. Her hands were gloved in sheer material that matched her flowing robes, and let anyone observant enough see the intricate henna that had been applied three days before. The woman's feet were also done, and she wore beautiful, yet simple, sandals paired with her attire. She was taking a moment of quiet to herself, simply watching everyone gathered together to support her family's work, and her family's property, in her country... to preserve it for decades to come.*

It was mind boggling, with the cooks bustling around in the kitchen back at their headquarters, the vans driving the food over, the remaining cooking staff plating the food and adding the finishing touches so that the food is as fresh as possible and looks as good as possible. Alex had never seen the workers being so busy. Alex's role hadn't started yet luckily which allowed him to observe this whole fiasco.

  235. A few minutes later a little buzzer that was on the waist of every single person of the waiting staff buzzed to indicate that they should gather at the entrance of the kitchen. Where trays placed each holding 10 glasses of wine to be served. Alex looked at a colleague of his saying "Big day, let us hope for steady hands." he said with a chuckle. The waiting staff wore white shoes, a white button up top, beige trousers, and a slightly darker beige apron, that matched the bow tie that each one had to wear.

  237. The head waiter had his little notepad with the layout of the floor and how the waiters would traverse the grounds. After the waiters were ready they got the signal to disperse. The event today required no mistakes after all this single event would quadruple the capital of the company, everything had to go like clock work.

  239. Alex quickly walked out following a long line of waiters holding some of the finest wine to serve the attendees of the event.

[2018-05-21 20:57] Omega Shaiydi: *The Lady Shaiydi had struck up a conversation with one of the younger members of her family, and was speaking in their native tongue, mixing in some of the particularly-local dialect spoken at The Estate. That is when she noticed out of the corner of her eyes the servers had dispersed. She studied them, making sure everything went perfectly, like an orchestrated dance. And of course, it did. She knew within a few moments one of them would be instructed by the head waiter to personally deliver her beverage, as she preferred it brought to her on a small, silver tray, the glass smack dab in the middle. This prevented many chances of spillage; nobody knew but her servants, but one of her favorite sets of robes had almost been ruined due to a tray toppling over when a server with an unsteady hand had brought a full tray in her direction and mis-stepped. It was then on she took measures to prevent such accidents.

  250. "How are things at The Estate, Cousin?" her cousin Mikaal asked. "Perfectly well, as always," The Lady spoke quietly, through her colorful veils. She adjusted the fall of her robe with a subtle flick of her fingers on the fabric. "And how is your wife? Is your slave settling in well, Cousin? Do tell me if she is in any way displeasing and I'll have her replaced within a day." Oh, yes, in their country, consensual slavery was perfectly legal, and thriving. But the Shaiydi family did so much good, nobody in neighboring countries seemed to mind. It was after all a more open-minded world, compared to a few decades ago.*

The buzzer on his waist buzzed again, prompting Alex to go back to the kitchen. Alex took his empty trey before returning. The head waiter was a bit disappointed seeing Alex as he had wanted someone who had more experience to not fuck this up. Yet he knew that he was on a tight schedule and he had to deliver Omega her drink.

  266. The head waiter looked at Alex saying "You're going to take this drink to the hostess of the event, Lady Shaiydi, the one standing in quadrant 4B up top. Be really careful, you can't fuck this up." he said.

  268. This didn't help, it only made Alex more and more nervous as he looked at the silver trey, that was adorned by artistic carvings and the glass that was also pretty adorned by carvings.

  270. The boy quickly looked in one of the mirrors that were there to make sure the staff looked presentable before putting on a couple dabs of cologne. He then proceeded to pick up the trey and walk over to the designated location. Alex didn't need to know who lady Shaiydi was, or what she looked like, after all she stood out in quite an impressive way. The boy climbed the few steps to where Lady Shaiydi was standing before lowering the tray from shoulder level to waist level as he said "Your drink my Lady." with a little bow of his head.
  271. [2018-05-21 21:36] Omega Shaiydi: *The Lady was looking out over the balcony and had been speaking rapidly about something with Mikaal when the server arrived. The distinctive speech died down as he approached, her cousin signaling someone coming up the stairs with a small hand-sign they reserved for public interactions when voicing something would be rude. She turned gracefully as the server stepped toward her, her robes floating around her, light-weight for the weather. She met his eyes with her own, which were soft, green, and warm tonight, accentuated by the dark make-up around them. "Why, aren't you sweet," she tells him, looking him up and down with approval as her hand carefully takes hold of the glass. From seemingly out of nowhere she procures a wooden, carved straw, and sips the wine from it beneath her veil. "Perfection. Do tell the wait-staff not to neglect this section, if you please, when everyone filters up here," she says in a kind way. She knew she'd be obeyed, and with eagerness.

Yet Alex didn't pay any attention to it, it was none of his concern and he didn't need anything else weighing him down. He already had quite the task ahead of him.

  278. When Alex rose his head to meet Shaiydi's gaze he couldn't help but notice her gorgeous eyes, well decorated by the smokey make up. The boy quickly looked away as he listened to what she had to say before nodding. "Of course Lady Shaiydi." he replied placing the trey behind his back "If I may be excused" he added taking a step back towards the stairs awaiting her to excuse him before he can run towards the kitchen to relay back her request.

After all, he was attractive in a feminine way, which she didn't encounter often. "Tell the head waiter I've decided you will be among the few who serve my table. You're excused." She takes another sip of her wine, and watches him go, her cousin murmuring when Alex turned to go, "Did you just see what I saw? He's flawless!" She laughed, her bubbling-brook laugh. "Cousin, don't go chasing after the wait," she said in their language when she was certain the boy had gone back down the steps. But her eyes watched him go about the service once he reached the ground-floor. And then someone else came up, and introduced themselves, and the conversation turned toward the event proper. Lady Shaiydi assumed the role of matriarch of her family, and indeed the strongest family of her nation. Calm, assertive, pleasant.

He wouldn't mind serving her table, even though it was quite a daunting task. He didn't expect the head waiter to approve of such an arrangement.

  287. As Alex paced down the stairs his butt jiggled in the tight pants he wore, as he headed towards the kitchen. Once Alex was inside the managing waiter ordered him to grab a new trey of drinks and to go back to his quadrant. Alex walked over to the trey as he said "Lady Shaiydi asked for me to be in the waiting staff for her table." the boy said before walking outside with the tray, after all there was no time for discussions during such an event.

  289. The head waiter gestured to the head waiter's assistant to go check the validity of such info before doing any changes to the plans. The head waiter's assistant quickly walked up to Lady Shaiydi as she leaned forwards with a polite bow before asking "Lady Shaiudi, is the waiting staff to your liking so far ? Would you like to make any last moment changes ?" she asked with a cute smile on her face.

[2018-05-21 22:14] Omega Shaiydi: *The Lady was speaking with the ambassador from Egypt, whose government had decided to donate a small fortune to the Foundation just a few weeks before the event was due to begin, as well as someone who was looking to make a documentary about her family and her country. Her cousin saved her again with their hand-signal of choice. She excused herself a moment from the company, but not before the assistant waiter basically interrupted the discussion without preamble. She made no outward show in front of company about her disapproval, and stepped aside, with the waiter forced to follow or be left behind. It was only when she was certain she was out of earshot of the guests, and her back to them, that she gazed down with her frosty green eyes.

  292. Her voice was pleasantly cadenced, yet held the expectation of immediate and absolute obedience, "Do not ever, ever interrupt me in the middle of a discussion with anyone again. If there is a question, you are to ask for a brief word. Am I understood? So far, I am pleased. Did the pale server deliver my message as he was instructed?" She raised a dark eyebrow with the question.

[2018-05-21 22:22] *Alex Hornbridge wandered around his quadrant with his eyes trailing the head server's assistant as he greeted the people taking glassed of his trey with delighted smiles and slight nods and bows with every drink they take. Alex's eyes were quite drawn to what was happening at the belcony realizing that the head's assistant made a mistake.

  295. The head waiter's assistant froze once she was struck by that look as she looked at the floor "Oh, I would like to deliver my utmost apology for the unintended interruption Lady Shaiydi. I should have had better assessment of the situation. I understand you completely Lady Shaiydi." she said before adding once she heard the question "He has indeed, Alex did inform us of your request. Though we would not recommend such an action since he is ill fitted and ill trained for such a position in the mean time." she spoke her words as advice even if she knew she had to comply if she was adamant about her request.

My cousin Mikaal and I in particular. That will alleviate any oddness that may come up. Above all, remember this: if mistakes happen, *don't* draw overmuch attention to them," she says very softly. "And it is quite likely nobody else will notice them except those directly involved. See it done, you are dismissed."
