I usually play human

The first 12 minutes of the game is to get lumber as human. as a vampire, its to prevent humans from getting gold and destroying their lumber production

I build houses to get workers, to get workers I need food, to get food, I need tents. Humans cap at 250/250 food.

Whenever vampires attack bases, I watch and get ready to teleport in with my slayer, a hero humans can have one of that start very weak, but have powerful spells to defend bases. Whenever a vampire destroys a building, it has a chance to drop a gold piece. if a human gets 2 gold pieces, they can start a base. This is because a key part of a human base requires a gold piece.

At 12 minutes every human gets 2 gold pieces, then I start to assemble my base. I make a wall in front of the only entrance, with houses/wall towers behind it. I also build a few towers. If the vampire comes by, I have to repair the wall as he hits it, hopefully getting him to back off. The vampires have a TON of things they can buy to overcome stuff the humans do, I can't really explain it all.
