  1. Get Stream into my Website ("Hijacking") - Guidance needed
  2. So this is clear. Let's say i've got site whatever.com and they do live streams, of course their stream is filled with ads and whatnot - What if I want to use it without their ads specifically?

  15. They are obviously using protection from people like me so let's go into what matters.
  16. Finding the m3u8 playlist/host isn't hard and they are using a key as a protection. When copying this url with the key embedded, into another tab - the result is:
  17. "403 Access to whatever.com was denied
  18. You don't have authorization to view this page"
  19. Now the thing is, am I already screwed (because it is domain restricted) or is it still workable? Cause if the key is session specific then it wouldn't work either way.
  20. As a noob test I copied the site using htt track but ofc the flow is all screwed. Im looking at the site now and finding who does what and who calls who, the js is obfuscated n sht so well it's pretty hard for a newbie like me.
  21. But, many sites still use an alternative approach to identify users: the session ID. This ID is unique per website visitor and it is automatically embedded to all URLs of page.

  25. When a search engine crawler crawls the page, all the URLs will have the session ID, which makes the URLs unique and seemingly with new content.
  26.
  27. But, remember that search engine crawlers are distributed, so the requests will come from different IPs. This leads to even more unique session IDs.

  37. When the session ID is a URL parameter, this is an easy problem to solve because you can block it in the URL parameters settings.
  38.
  39. But, what if the session ID is embedded in the actual path of the URLs? Yes, that is possible and valid.

  43. Web servers based on the Enterprise Java Beans spec, used to append the session ID in the path like this: ;jsessionid. You can easily find sites still getting indexed with this in their URLs.

  47. It is not possible to block this parameter when included in the path. You need to fix it at the source.
