[b]Executive Order[/b]
[i]To reform the Space Council and centralize authority thereof[/i]

By the authority vested in me as President of Atlasia, it is hereby ordered that:

Section 1, Purpose:
1. The Space Council is to be replaced, effective immediately, with the Space Commission. The duties of the Space Council shall carry on, but with a more efficient and effective organization and authority, as enumerated below.

Section 2, Reorganization:
1. A Director of the Space Commission shall be appointed, by the President, to lead the Space Commission.
2. All advisory members of the Space Commission shall serve at the discretion of the Director of the same.
3. The administration of all space activities shall fall under the discretion of the Director of the Space Commission.

Section 3, Duties:
1. The Space Commission shall advise the President on all issues related to space, chiefly:
(a) Exploration thereof, particularly with regard to the Moon and Mars
(b) New Space policies, particularly in long term goals
(c) Monitoring and coordination implementation of the objectives of the President’s national space policy and strategy;
(d) Fostering close coordination, cooperation, and technology and information exchange among the civil, national security, and commercial space sectors;
(e) Advisory functions on participation in international space activities conducted by the Atlasian Government and military activities, including the potential creation of an additional military branch for space;
(f) Facilitation the resolution of differences concerning major space and space-related policy matters.
(g) Advice regarding any and all legislation related to space and funding thereof.
2. Further activities and administration duties of the Director may be delegated to members of the Commission at the discretion of said Director.

Section 4, Additional Rules:
1. The President may, at any time, request with a reasonable deadline, a report on any matter related to space.
2. The Director shall report directly to the President.
3. The advice of any Commission member may be sought at the discretion of the President and Director at any time.
