[21:51] <@macrophage> Jane is greeted, offered a small plate of cookies that look stolen from the cafeteria, and there is also a glass of water.  The bleached-blonde, spray-tanned, somewhat plain, EVEN after being so OBVIOUSLY plastic-surgeried interviewer smiles and lets Jane get comfortable before moving onto the first question:

[21:53] <@macrophage> "So, I know you're probably waiting for all sorts of questions about being a pilot, and we have some questions for you about that, but...I have to ask this personally, before anything else?  How do you get your hair such a lovely, inobstrusive shade of pink?", so much for hard-hitting questions?
[21:54] * Jane_Shepard smiles. "Oh, it's not that hard, trust me. It's just a matter of washing it well. I was thinking of going to brown hair soon, actually..."
[21:57] <@macrophage> "Really....well, I'm sure it will look lovely....I mean, as the most fabulous and fashion-conscious member of your team, you must get lots of attention.  Have you had the time to take advantage of that, with your work?  Do you have time to date, or meet boys?"
[21:59] * Jane_Shepard laughs. "Well, I'm still working on making more friends - I only started going to the school here last year - but... I do have a special someone, yes."
[21:59] <@macrophage> "Oh?  Can you tell us who it is?  Or would that get you in trouble?"
[22:00] * Jane_Shepard blushes slightly. "Well, I guess it's not a big secret, but Tony and I - he's the pilot of 02 - we've been dating for... wow, nine or ten months now."
[22:04] <@macrophage> "Wow....sounds like a pretty serious relationship.  It's good to know that you can have a normal life while saving the world.  I'd feel...bad if you couldn't.  So what's your team like, exactly?  Any juicy secrets you're willing to share?",
[22:05] * Jane_Shepard brushes her hair back. "Well, James and I have always known each other. We were raised together as brother and sister. When Ai and Tony came along, I didn't like them at first. I thought Ai was a bit full of herself and that Tony was a coward."
[22:06] * Jane_Shepard says "But... over time I really got to know them. Ai really puts a lot of work into this, more than the rest of us, and Tony is one of the bravest people I know."
[22:07] <@macrophage> "And James?  What's he like?"
[22:08] * Jane_Shepard smiles. "He cares deeply about all of us. So much that sometimes he does stupid things just to make sure we don't get hurt. But he always means well and puts all of himself into what he does."
[22:09] <@macrophage> Jane's smile is infectious!  The girl's fake smile becomes a bit more genuine!  "Do you have any hobbies?  What do you do when you have free time?"
[22:10] * Jane_Shepard says "Well, I like to read a lot when I'm not training. I've even been trying my hand at doing some writing, but I don't think I'm very good at that yet."
[22:11] <@macrophage> "Any kind of writing you'd like to share with us while you have our attention?  Who knows?  We might even be able to get it published..."
[22:12] * Jane_Shepard blushes and looks down "Well, it's kind of embarrassing, but I've been writing a romance novel."
[22:13] <@macrophage> "Well, if you have an excerpt or any short stories you want to get published, we can work out a deal.", the girl fishes into a bag, pulls out a little business card, and hands it to Jane!  "And...as a last question.  Got any plans for the future?  What will you do when you've saved the world?"
[22:15] * Jane_Shepard smiles and looks off to the side. "I never really had a chance to think about it much, but that's why I'm trying writing out. I'm still looking for what I can do that's really me that isn't just being an Eva pilot. I think... maybe I'll still be looking for myself, but as long as I don't stop, that's enough."

First of all, I have to say...we've seen limited footage of the fight in Japan, and your fighting style in your eva is fierce!  As the best pilot on your team, can you tell us what it's really like, risking your life for the fate of the world?"
[22:33] <Anthony_Hartman> "I'm...I'm not really the best or anything. Actually I've have the least amount of training and experience out of all of the others. But to answer your question, I don't really remember much of it. I kind of just play it by ear, I guess."
[22:36] <@macrophage> "Well, I guess that's how it works for some guys?  They're just good in a fight or something, right?", he tastefully neglects to mention his hard-knock childhood!  How tactful!  "So....we interviewed Miss Shepard already, and she said you've been dating for almost a year now, despite the fact that you didn't get along at first?  Can you tell us how that happened?"
[22:39] <Anthony_Hartman> "Yeah, to be honest, I was kind of afraid of her at first. There was just something about her that I can't place. After a few months though I realized I was attracted to her, so I asked her out, and I found out she felt the same way. We've been dating ever since."
[22:41] <@macrophage> "How sweet!", the girl smiles, and then decides to broach a sensitive topic.  "So, considering how tall Jane is...do you ever feel self-conscious about being with her?  How do people usually react to that?", she tries not to outright say that Anthony is a bit short!
[22:43] <Anthony_Hartman> "Actually, she was shorter than I was when we met. We joke about it sometimes, but no. I really have no problem with it."
[22:45] <@macrophage> "Wow....well, I bet the two of you make a great couple!  I'm glad that things are working out for you two, despite that last fight and recent setbacks.  How about the other pilots?  Do you enjoy their company?  I mean, is there any tension between you and Jane's brother, everything considered?"

[23:20] <James_Arroyo> "Um... hi!" he smiles, trying to backpeddle a little. The interviewer has jumped in pretty fast.

[23:22] <James_Arroyo> "Um, I didn't really know about the internet thing, which I guess is weird now that I think about it, but I'm not really that great with computers."
[23:24] <@macrophage> "Well I mean, it's not too outlandish, is it?  I mean, you're so handsome, and you must work so hard at maintaining your figure.  You would do wonders as a model or an actor...have you ever considered doing those kinds of things?  Any secrets for jealous boys out there?"

[23:28] <James_Arroyo> "I don't know about acting. I'm okay talking one on one like this, but I'm not really good at public speaking."
[23:45] <James_Arroyo> "Um, I like to read science fiction, and watch TV. Like Soap Operas and cartoons. I also like discovering new restaurants and new types of food. Um I'm pretty open to anything new."
[23:47] <macrophage> Soap operas?  Cartoons?  Science fiction?  How....what's the word, here...boring?  She puts on a big, fake smile, and tries to mine for more info.  "What about girls?  I mean, you have to be very popular, and a little bird told me that there might be something between you and another pilot..care to elaborate on that?"
[23:48] <James_Arroyo> "Yeah. Ai and I are together," he says.
[23:50] <macrophage> "Really....how did that happen?  How serious are you two?  I mean, have you been together as long as the other two?"
[23:51] <James_Arroyo> "We first got together in November, so its been about 10 months maybe? We had a little trouble when we first met, but we're currently engaged."

[23:53] <James_Arroyo> He smiles shyly at her reaction.
[23:54] <macrophage> The girl listens, and then...it's like she just heard something unbelievable.  Somewhere outside the room, NERV members are probably shitting themselves.  Ai's father has fortunately already found out, so the cries from Japan continue unabated.  "What?  Really?  I mean, wow...you two must be especially devoted to each other.  What...led you two to realize you were ready for something like that?"

[00:01] <James_Arroyo> "I love my sister, Jane, and Anthony is my best friend. I guess us all being pilots makes it easier for us to understand each other, but I think its more than just that. I still have a lot of great friends at school and they're all really supportive. I'm going to be able to do some more for them this sophmore year."
[00:06] <macrophage> "Wow...it sounds like you really have a lot going on....is it hard balancing your job with a normal life?"
[00:09] <James_Arroyo> "I've been trained a little longer so I didn't have to play catch up like Ai or Anthony, so its a little easier for me. Sometimes I miss stuff because of it, but my friends at school understand and they help me make up for it. I mean, homework and just regular highschool stuff."
[00:11] <macrophage> "You really sound like you have it all under control!", possibly because the footage that's been released to the public is not favorable towards James, especially.  Perhaps she assumes he just sucks?  "Anyways, we should probably move on to the photo shoot.  Anything you'd like to tell your fans out there?"
