He constantly makes mistakes and never learns from them, and neither does the community. He told a troll to commit suicide by suffocating himself and even giving detailed instructions on how to do it and he was dead serious about it, and he didn't apologize at all. I wouldn't have minded if he posted that jokingly (and also made it clear it was a joke) but he didn't. Instead, he needs to act like some sort of macho man who spends his time on a shitty bar in Brazil while talking shit about people. And if that's not enough, he STILL doesn't have the humility to actually ask for help when he needs the most (such as taking contribution or even co-working with other modders to complete Brutal Doom and his other mods) and also doesn't have the honesty of telling others the truth (because he keeps delaying V21 over and over and says that it's going to come out "soon enough". Hey, "soon enough" happened TWO FUCKING YEARS AGO!). He's a manipulative mother fucker.

Then again, this isn't very uncommon among Brazilians. I know that because I fucking live there, and I know how shitty some of the people here are. They are selfish, rude and very fucking lazy. How to describe 50% of the Brazilian people in a nutshell? FUCKING LAZY. That's why Brazil is in such a shithole, because these people kept voting on politicians that only catered to the same mentality. They think they can live a life free of work and dedication, a life without discipline and effort. Some of the favelas in Rio de Janeiro don't even pay taxes for the government and don't even pay electricity bills. They keep talking about how much the government are thieves and most politicians are corrupt, but THEY THEMSELVES ARE CORRUPT. Don't complain about thievery in your hen if you yourself are a thief. The sooner these people learn that this line of thought is dangerous to society and humanity as a whole, the better. Everyone has a responsibility to society, however how small or big they are.(edited)
Sergeant Mark IV is currently one of the most prolific Doom modders at the moment and he does a VERY poor job at having a tenure, because his poor sense of humility and honesty makes other Doom modders out there look moronic in comparison. While people pour sweat and time to create great mods with original features, concepts and sprites, there's people like him who just steal a bunch of assets and code from other people and call it a day. And the worst part about this is that he gets a fucking salary on Patreon for it. I don't hate Brutal Doom itself; it's an okay mod nowadays (it used to be better) and it was my first PROPER introduction to Doom. But I fucking detest the author nowadays and everything he represents. It's kinda like a band called Nickelback. People say they "hate" Nickelback, but that's not true. They don't actually "hate" the band itself, they hate what it represents. The band itself serves serviceable music that's mostly forgettable and generic, but not straight out bad if you know what I mean. What people hate about them is how top tier studios and publishers looked at the band and thought to themselves "I can sell this". That's what they hate.

It's funny how most people who dislike BD's author are often derailed as "BD haters" but that's not true. They hate what it represents, not the mod itself.

I used to complain a lot about PB and it's development but you guys managed to improve a lot. You guys learned from mistakes and became better. More people should take lessons from you. I swear to god that when PB 3.0 gets released, it will put V21 and every subsequent version to the fucking dirt. 3.0 is already being compared as being better than Complex Doom by many Doom members out there. Everytime PB gets released even in shitty Doom servers, it's often called "Complex Doom but good". If that's not enough of a complement, I don't know what is.(edited)

TL;DR : Sergeant Mark IV isn't a bad person because he does shit, he's a shitty person because he does bad shit while representing a community, so most of his community act the same way as he does and also think the same way. If people keep stealing assets from others and feel like that's okay, that's really his fault. If people feel it's okay to insult authorities and do suicide jokes, that's his fault. He never apologized or admitted that doing those things are wrong, so his community also doesn't apologize or think doing these things is wrong.
It's kinda like Hitler, in a way. Hitler represented Germany's people. Everything Hitler did, people would do the same. Everything he said, people would repeat it over and over everywhere. In a way that's not too far off from the ex-president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, a far leftist president who was also worshiped as a god because he was part of a cult of personality. Look where he is now : in jail. Is that the example these people should be following? Think about it.
I wouldn't be very surprised if he supports Lula or any similar ideals.
There's a saying in Brazil : "You're free to cry and bitch, but Lula isn't free."
