The Missing Chao ~ Prologue

When the sun rose down into the shadows of the western mountains, just like a fox peeping back into its burrow, darkness wrapped up the world of Mobius telling its populations to rest until dawn. Although the Chaos Emeralds still glow and robots still sought one blue hedgehog, there was absolute silence throughout the town of Chaosville and the hills and woodland surrounding it.

As the stars shined, a shadow of a figure prowled out of its cavern, which was atop a cliff, and observed the glamorous landscape, colorful as a painting. As it gnawed on an orange fruit, it noticed something strange.

Where were they? it thought.

"Dear, I've noticed something very strange," it bellowed. "Nothing like I've ever experienced before."

"What is it?" another shadowy figure soared out of its cave.

"No piece of a pink wing can be sighted. They've..... all disappeared."

"DISAPPEARED?!?!"

"Yes, even though I am very wise, I cannot tell who snatched them."

The figure who noticed the weird happening held its head down, as if it was glaring at a pitiful eaten mouse, and held a Chaos Emerald, "I don't know how to fix this, but I've been keeping a praising eye on a group of Mobian mammals that are gifted with superpowers and have been known to foil the plans of a vicious human and swear to stop all evil. Maybe they could do so."

'That's right," the other figure grinned, "I've heard that their leader restored time. However, we should go to sleep as the moon commanded us to."

"Hmmm.... Before we fall into the greatest rest every creature has experienced, I have something to tell you: I have plans for those courageous animals."

Soon, the lonely cavern no longer threw any voices out, not even a peep.
