  39.
  40. Appearance:
  41. Violet is a well-built mare with a light blue coat and a white mane in a braid. She bears one purple eye and one green one, and has a handful of scars on her face and body from rough living. She bears some noticeable scars on her body, usually covered by sturdy traveler's armor made from sturdy leather and quilting.
  42.
  43. Backstory:
  44. One of many children from a relatively poor family, Violet was once a ranger operating in a remote part of the Dominion, specializing in search and rescue missions. The woods where she operated, however, were subject to strange, unexplainable occurrences, even by magical standards, and she often witnessed supernatural events around the area, although she was instructed never to try to interact with them by her supervisors. Eventually, however, her curiosity got the better of her, the result of which was her being framed for the gruesome murder of a child.
  45.
  46. One thing led to another, and she found herself exiled into the Echoes, where she managed to get by fairly easily due to her prior experience, building a small reputation for herself as a wandering treasure hunter. During her travels, she befriended a dragon called Nivius, who helped her get her bearings in the Echoes, and the two became close friends; however, after a particularly harsh journey, she was forced to leave Nivius for dead. Some time later, Violet ran afoul of the notorious sorcerer Black Pudding, opting to try and help the swamp spirit he had imprisoned. As she was caught in the act, Pudding punished her by taking her eye out and banishing her from Durenwol. She is currently traveling with a group of five freshly landed exiles on their journeys.
  47.
  48. Personality:
  49. Violet is a laid-back, easygoing mare. Having been in the Echoes for many years now, she is protective of newcomers, often lending them guidance and traveling with them to ensure they get their bearings. She is outgoing and optimistic, trying to act as a mediator in times of conflict. She can be somewhat impulsive in her decision making, and is easily irritated when made to waste valuable time. She has a passion for exploring and uncovering hidden mysteries, as well as claiming old artifacts for her own.

  66. Echolocation: passive; Batponies can use the sound reflected off of objects to “see” their surroundings. Your ability to see is unaffected by darkness. Enemies without means of seeing in the dark(light sources, Hawkeye, Phase Aura, Fourth Eye, Hornlight and similar effects) hit you at DC+1, you receive a +1 bonus to all rolls against them, and you are counted as stealthed to them (but you don’t gain the autocrit effect).

  75.

  77.
  78. Non-Combat Talent: Physician: Aurora is a doctor, not a warrior. While she is largely inexperienced in combat, she is quite adept in identifying and healing all sorts of maladies. She can attempt to identify an affliction, whether magical or otherwise, and gains +2 to Mend.
  79.
  80. H/W: 5/5
  81.
  82. Catalyst: Amulet of Luna
  83.
  84. Enlightenment: 1
  85.
  86. Appearance:
  87. Aurora is a young bat pony mare with a short mousy brown mane, bright orange eyes and a bluish grey coat. She often looks rather dour, and is quite tall and lanky for her age. She wears an amulet containing a lapis lazuli stone, and wears a navy blue tunic typical of the acolytes of Luna.
  88.
  89. Backstory:
  90. Aurora was the firstborn and only daughter of the viscountess Bellatrix d'Arbanville, a well known noblemare in Animus. Tragedy struck when Bellatrix was kidnapped by a pony called Breezeblock, who held her for ransom. When it was paid, he took the money and killed her anyway, shocking Animus and tearing Aurora's family apart. Breezeblock escaped to the Echoes before he could be brought to justice, and Aurora's father took his own life a year later, leaving Aurora an orphan. With no family to live with, she found herself living on the streets, turning to a life of crime to get by. She managed to survive for many years, until in her teens she was caught thieving and eventually banished to the Echoes.
  91.
  92. In the Echoes, she made her way into the Moonlight Monastery, who took her in and allowed her to live at the temple, teaching her their ways. While she never truly believed their ways, she proved herself talented with healing magic, and was taken into tutelage by the brothers Sirius and Procyon. She lived a relatively quiet life for some time, until one day, she saw the same pony who had killed her mother and ruined her life taking shelter in the monastery under a different name. In an act of revenge, she murdered Breezeblock and avenged her family, though not without cost. In punishment for her crime, the monastery ordered her to go on a pilgrimage, never to return until she had atoned. Once again finding herself with no place to call her own, she found herself in the company of a party of six drifters.
  93.
  94. Personality:
  95. Aurora is a sullen, laconic mare. Although she is an adherent of Luna, her faith is tenuous at best, and she only performs the rituals out of habit. She tends not to speak unless spoken to, although if confronted is not afraid to speak her mind. She has a rather black sense of humor, although she is seldom seen to smile. Although most of her life was spent as a street urchin, she feels a connection with her noble heritage, and tries to live up to her mother's reputation.
