  1. >"Hey girls, you ever wonder why Anon is always alone?"
  2. >The myriad of girls with their pony magic all turned to look at you in unison.
  3. >Sitting outside the cafeteria by yourself.
  4. >You in your signature suit and bold red tie.
  5. >The epitome of classy.
  6. >All the other people at school just didn't know how to dress nice, obviously.
  7. >You did know you were treading a fine line, however.
  8. >Back in middle school, you used to wear that god awful trilby hat, that you mistakenly called a fedora.
  9. >You knew just how cringe inducing it had been to see pictures of yourslf back then.
  10. >Refusing to EVER go back to that.
  11. >But you were clueless to the whispering going on just on the other side of the cafeteria window.
  12. >It never would occur to you that, for once, you were the center of conversation.
  13. >"Ya know, come to think of it. Ah ain't seen him hangin' out with folks even after school. That just ain't regular for folks or age. He's got to have some friends here, don't he?"
  14. >"Well, Applejack, if I may interject. I do believe it may have something to do with his wardrobe."
  15. >Rarity, ever the fashionista decided maybe it had something to do with your choice of attire.
  16. >But who could blame her?
  17. >She must think she's the law when it comes to these things.
  18. >After all, you were wearing a suit to school of all places.
  19. >What place could be better to show off just how much more refined you were to the people of this school?
  20. >They had no culture, in your 4 months here you had found that to be an unfortunate truth.
  21. >Which is why you refused to befriend such neanderthals.
  22. >It was your choice to be alone, not theirs.
  23. >So you wore your suits.
  24. >Every.
  25. >Single.
  26. >Day.
  27.
  28. >"Now I'm all for dressing up, but really, one should take a look at the situation. School is far from a formal occasion is it not?"
  29. >"Pffft, who cares? He's obviously a loner. Maybe he just doesn't like people, even if they are totally awesome."
  30. >"Did he even bother to get it properly tailored?" Rarity's face scrunched in thought.
  31. >She was absolutely deadset on critiscizing your wardrobe.
  32. >"Just look at it, the shoulders are too wide and sleeves too short. Not only that, but he's wearing a plain red tie. I'm all for bold accessories, but that simply doesn't work. It's absolutely terrible. Not to mention the suit color itself. It's spring, who wears a black suit in the spring time? At the least he could have gone with some shade of grey."
  33. >If you could hear how much one lady could criticize just one outfit you'd be surprised.
  34. >However, Rarity seemed eadset on ripping into just how terrible your choice was.
  35. >With gusto.
  36. >"Geez Rares, wanna lay off the guy?"
  37. >At least the polychromatic tomboy came to your defense, granted she was a bold statement herself.
  38. >"No Rainbow, I shan't. Something simply MUST be done to remedy his situation!"
  39. >And there it was.
  40. >The fire of passion the whole school knew Rarity for.
  41. >And you, simple lttle Anonymous, hadn't the slightest clue wha was going on.
  42. >You were completely oblivious.
  43. >But, your days as the school outcast were going to change, that is if Rarity had anything to say about it.
  44. >"You can't be serious, Rarity. We don't even know him! What makes you think he'll let you change his wardrobe?"
  45. >Twilight had interjected this time.
  46. >"Why feminine charm of course, darling!"
  47. >"Ooh ooh! Are you gonna seduce him, get him to take off his clothes then run away with them?"
  48. >Six girls all turned their gaze to Pinkie, who always semed to come out of left field with her ideas.
  49. >"No, Darling. I'm simply going to talk to him and convince him to model for me."
  50.
  51. >"Oh-ho, this oughtta be good," Applejack said, elbowing Rainbow and sharing a quick laugh.
  52. >"Laugh while you can, dearest Rainbow Dash. But you will see. And seeing you as the type eager to take a bet, how about it?"
  53. >This got Dash's attention rigt away.
  54. >"Oh yeah? What'd ya have in mind?"
  55. >"One week. One week and I shall have that boy dressing in a manner that reflects positively on both him and his environment. Not to mention get him out of that gawdy thrift store suit."
  56. >Rarity visibly shuddered just thinking about the quality of your attire.
  57. >"Alright Rares, you're on. How about if you lose YOU have to take HIM to the school dance next Friday?"
  58. >"Very well, Rainbow. Since that's how you want to play it, should I succeed, YOU must take him."
  59. >Dash grinned, there was no way Rarity could win this bet.
  60. >She reached her hand accross the table to shake on it, but before Rarity completed he deal, she added...
  61. >"And, you MUST kiss him."
  62. >Rarity was playing for keeps.
  63. >Rainbow Dash thought for a second, her hand still hovering over the table.
  64. >Rarity was obviously very confident about this.
  65. >But giving up now is the same as accepting defeat right?
  66. >Rainbow knew she couldn't let Rarity get such a small victory and steeled herself.
  67. >Staring daggers into the seamstress.
  68. >With that, the two shook on it.
  69. >One way or another, you were now caught up in the antics of two schoolgirls and their friends.
  70. >Life as you knew it was changing right under your nose.
  71.
  72. >You knew EXACTLY how to deal with boys.
  73. >And men.
  74. >Really anything of the male persuasion.
  75. >You could have them wrapped around your finger wihout breaking a sweat.
  76. >This confidence was likely one of your greatest assets.
  77. >Aside from your generous spirit of course.
  78. >But that's beside the point.
  79. >Now, you had the fun of messing with her dearest friend, Rainbow Dash.
  80. >Oh how it tickled you to imagine seeing your Rainbow Haired friend with...
  81. >"Oh shoot. What was his name again?"
  82. >You pondered for a second...
  83. >"Incog... No, that's not right. AH! That's right, Anonymous."
  84. >Oh how it tickled to imagine seeing Rainbow Dash with Anonymous, hands intertwined, twirling on the dance floor.
  85. >Then, at the end, just for that extra salt on the wound, she would have to kiss him!
  86. >The scandal of it all!
  87. >The girl everybody figured for a lesbian and the boy who was completely invisible!
  88. >You giggled to herself.
  89. >You had all weekend to plan after all as you had made your bet with Rainbow earlier that day.
  90. >TGIF?
  91. >There was no way you could fail.
  92. >Most definitely...
  93. >And thus, with a flurry, you began your furous planning.
  94. >Scribbled notes, quickly hashed wardrobe designs for Anonymous.
  95. >And most of all, your angles for attack
  96. >Exactly how would she hook this Anonymous as quickly as possible before transforming him completely?
  97. >Thus, you the seamstress burned the midnight oil, toiling and tittering until you could toil and titter no more then fell asleep.
  98. >Dreams of fabrics and needles dancing in your head.
  99.
  100. >The weekend came and went, just as quickly as those before it.
  101. >Once again, you found yourself perched atop the one table outside the cafeteria.
  102. >You watched as the seniors strolled by, walkign o their cars for off-campus lunch.
  103. >Oh the priveleges of the Upperclassmen.
  104. >But it didn't really bother you any.
  105. >You knew they just used it as an excuse to have sex in between classes.
  106. >What else could they possibly do durin tht time?
  107. >Actually get lunch?
  108. >Not likely.
  109. >Primitive really, all caught up in their hormones to think of the consequences.
  110. >But you knew better.
  111. >You were saving yourself for that perfect lady.
  112. >The damsel who, in turn, would also bea virgin.
  113. >Thus, on your wedding the night, the two of you would consummate, conceieng your first child of many on that first night.
  114. >You had everything planned to a T.
  115. >Nothing could ever get in the way of that.
  116. >Not even that very classy lady Rarity.
  117. >The way she would practically sing when she spoke.
  118. >Her smell.
  119. >That lovely hint of lavender she graced you with whenever she passed you on her way to her first period French class.
  120. >She was absolutely perfect.
  121. >Not like the rest of the harlots at this school.
  122. >No, she was a true gem.
  123. >If only you had the courage to actually strike up a conversation.
  124. >But with her friends around, you knew you couldn't.
  125. >They didn't know the meaning of privacy.
  126. >Much less the subtleties of romance.
  127. >You wondered if you would ever get the chance to speak with her privately?
  128. >To woo her with your masculine and gentlemanly charm.
  129. >She obviously didn't know just how much of a catch you were.
  130. >After all, you were Anonymous, classiest gentleman at CHS!
  131. >You took chivalry to a whole new level.
  132. >You practically combined it with Bushido!
  133. >The manners and ways of the Western Knights of yore!
  134. >And the discpline and skills of the Eastern Samurai!
  135.
  136. >You even had your own set of Katanas to prove it.
  137. >Getting them for a steal at the Asian Gift Shop at the mall for $60.
  138. >Your prized black Musha - Koga Sword!
  139. >Obviously the lady working the place didn't know just what she had for sale, she could have easily marked them at $1000 or more.
  140. >Simpleton.
  141. >Your thoughts however, were suddenly jerked from their reverie as you heard a voice.
  142. >"Excuse me, darling. You're Anonymous, correct?"
  143. >It was Rarity!
  144. >Your damsel in distress even though she didn't know it!
  145. "Uhhhh... Wha... Yesssssssssss...? I think?"
  146. >So smooth.
  147. >They should call you 'slick'.
  148.
  149. >This was it! Now or never!
  150. >You had watched him for a few minutes.
  151. >Finalizing your plan.
  152. >Everything would go smooth as silk!
  153. >It just had to!
  154. >And so, withoutfurther ado, you cast open the door leading outside and sahsayed toward your target.
  155. >The unsuspecting anonymous.
  156. >He looked lost in thought.
  157. >A smirk on his face.
  158. >You wondered what he was thinking about...
  159. >Oh well, here goes!
  160. "Excuse me, darling. You're Anonymous, correct?"
  161. >He seemed to not hear you.
  162. >For a few seconds he just sat there.
  163. >Staring off in the distance.
  164. >Then, without warning, he snapped toward you.
  165. >"Uhhhh... Wha... Yesssssssssss...? I think?"
  166. >Well that was hardly how you expected him to answer.
  167. >You straighten your blouse and skirt a bit before proceeding.
  168. "My name, is Rarity."
  169. >"Yes."
  170. >He showed no emotion.
  171. >You wondered if maybe he had been asleep or something.
  172. >Surely nobody could be this... Odd.
  173. >No matter!
  174. >It was your duty to see this through to the end!
  175. "So tell me, Mr. Anonymous, why is it that you sit out here, by yourself, every day? Surely you've some friends to enjoy your lunch with?"
  176. >Of course he did, maybe he just had a different lunch period.
  177. >Nobody could truly be alone, especially not here!
  178.
  179. >"So tell me, Mr. Anonymous, why is it that you sit out here, by yourself, every day? Surely you've some
  180. >Be advised fuckhead! She's talking to you!
  181. >break out the big guns!
  182. >You almost stumbled there at the start, but you could recover.
  183. >Just like the dating sims.
  184. "Nay, my dear. For thou layeth thine eyes upon a man of a different caliber. Far and above the mere swine and stock cast about this establishment of learning. Verily!"
  185. >You had her.
  186. >There was no way she could resist the Shakespearian speech!
  187. >"So, is that a yes, dear?"
  188. >Maybe she wasn't as refined as you thought...
  189. >No matter, whores into housewives right?
  190. "Worry not, my blooming orchid, for though I may be without companionship! I am not without the grandeur of class, intellect and prestige!"
  191. >No to top it off.
  192. >The icing on the cake!
  193. >The one thing sure to make her swoon.
  194. >You bow, extending your hand toward her, and then with a slight tilt of your head...
  195. "M'lady."
  196.
  197. >Oh for the love of.
  198. >Did he really just do all of that?
  199. >You certainly hoped nobody at the school saw it, you'd never live it down.
  200. >It would absolutely cursh your social status!
  201. >You had to fix this trainwreck before it turned disastorous.
  202. >he even said "M'lady", ugh!
  203. >His words made you want to take a shower.
  204. >This... This would be one serious challenge.
  205. >You couldn't just change his clothes and everything would be ok.
  206. >No, you needed to go all out and take a blowtorch to this...
  207. >You didn't know what to call it.
  208. >But it was bad.
  209. >Really bad.
  210. >You resisted every urge to just turn back and give up.
  211. >Finally, after some good mental motivation, it was time to go for bro.
  212. "Mr. Anonymous, it has come to my attention that the absolute disater that is your repertoire. That is to say your les affaires is also unsatisfoctory and I simply MUST correct the travesty before me. So, today after school I'm going to need you to meet me after school."
  213. >At this point, you had brandished a pen and paper from your purse and began to write your work address dow.
  214. >Once finished, you whipped the paper toward Anon ad continued.
  215. "You are my new project, Anonymous. No questions asked. I expect you there promptly after school. So? What do you say?"
  216.
  217. >Something was off.
  218. >WAY OFF!
  219. >You used 'M'lady', it wasn't very effective.
  220. >Rarity used 'Insult', it's super effective!
  221. >How could she not be head over heels right now?
  222. >You just used your Trump card!
  223. >If anything, she looks miffed.
  224. >But what's this?
  225. >She's talking again?
  226. >Something about your clothes again.
  227. >French words?
  228. >Grab the paper.
  229. >After school?
  230. >There's an address on the paper, she must want you to go there after school.
  231. >You could do that.
  232. >No problem.
  233. >No problem whatsoever.
  234. >You totally weren't breaking into a sweat.
  235. >She's still there staring at you.
  236. >Like she's expecting something.
  237. >An apology? No...
  238. >Ah! A kiss! That must be it!
  239. >No, wait... That's not it either...
  240. >Ah, she wants you to acknowledge her words!
  241. >Of course!
  242. >"Yeah."
  243. >Fuckin' nailed it.
  244.
  245. >He truly was dense wasn't he?
  246. >perhaps he was one of the... 'Special' students.
  247. >No matter!
  248. >You knew what you had to do, even if it killed you!
  249. >Whether he liked it or not, Anonymous was going to become the hottest thing at school!
  250. >All the boys are going to want to BE him!
  251. >The girls will adore him!
  252. >All you've got is a week!
  253. >Oh dear... Just a week?
  254. >Could you even coerce him into speaking properly to a lady in that manner of time?
  255. >You've certainly goten yourself into a pickle this time Rarity.
  256. "Very well. See you then. Should you get lost or something arises, do not hesitate to call me. My number is on the back of that paper."
  257. >You had just begun to leave when you remembered.
  258. "OH! Anonymous, one more thing?"
  259. >"Huh?"
  260. >Deep breath...
  261. "Please, just... remove that gawdy jacket and tie! they're absolutely dreadful and this is no funeral, there is no need for black formal wear! Ta taaaaa!"
  262. >Pivot.
  263. >Walk.
  264. >Don't look back.
  265. >Go inside.
  266. >Breathe.
  267. >Compose yourself.
  268. >You.
  269. >Can!
  270. >DO THIS!
  271. >He's just... The ultimate challenge!
  272. >Your Magnum Opus of social status!
  273. >Now you could see why he didn't have any friends...
  274.
  275. >Your head was reeling.
  276. >Rarity wants you to meet her.
  277. >Something about you being a project of some sort.
  278. >Whatever that means.
  279. >But it doesn't matter.
  280. >She wants YOU!
  281. >The epitome of class, dignity, chivalry and all the other things you know to make women fall madly in love.
  282. >It was only a matter of time before she came around.
  283. >And so, you went.
  284. >With a little pep in your step, you practically strutted all the way into town.
  285. >Right onto Main Street.
  286. >Where you looked and realized, you didn't really know where her shop was at exactly.
  287. >And this wasn't the shop district.
  288. >This was residential.
  289. >Pulling out your phone, you punched in the address and found that the shop was a mile and a half away.
  290. "Great, I have to walk ALL the way there?"
  291. >You mentally berated yourself for not getting your license back when your father offered to take you.
  292. >Oh well.
  293. >And so once again, one foot after the other you began your walk to the shop.
  294. >Just... With a little less pep and strut this time around.
  295.
  296. >You made it.
  297. >'Kim Ho's Dry Cleaning & Alterations'.
  298. >Really, she worked at a dry cleaner?
  299. >A Korean one no less.
  300. >Wonderful.
  301. >With a shrug, you pushed your way into the shop where a litle bell above the door chimed, anouncing your entry.
  302. >"Just a second darling!"
  303. >You said nothing, opting to wait as any gentleman would.
  304. >You looked around the place, multitudes of suits and other assorted garments organized on a carousel, stretched far into the back of the shop.
  305. >A small bench with a couple of magazines perched nearby seemed to be the closest thing this place had to a waiting area.
  306. >Not a whole lot...
  307. >You needn't wait, however, as Rarity came humming from the back.
  308. >Her eyes fixed to a clipboard as she absentmindedly chewed the tip of her pen.
  309. >"What can I help you with-" She looked up, realizing it was you. "Ah, Anon, I'm so glad you're here... With that tie."
  310. >She rolled her eyes and set the clipboard down.
  311. >"Very well, take off the jacket and your shirt and follow me."
  312. >You obliged, following her as she walked towards the back
  313. >Stopping at a table with an assortment of fabrics and a sewing machine, she turned to look you over once more.
  314. >"Set your things over there, please."
  315. >Rarity pointed to a nearby chair and waited.
  316. >Again, you did as you were told and went to face her once more.
  317. >This time, she had a long piece of tailor's tape and motioned for you to come closer.
  318. >As you did, she began instructing you on how to stand, where to put your arms, the whole nine yards.
  319. >All the while taking notes and mumbling to herself.
  320. >Once she was complete, she set the tape down and crossed her arms, taking a moment to gather her thoughts.
  321.
  322. >"Anon, I'm going to be frank here. While I do appreciate a man who *wishes* to dress in a respectable manner. A man who does so correctly is much better." She tutted a bit and continued. "I don't wish to be harsh, darling, but it's obvious I've a lot of work ahead of me if I'm going to remedy this situation. So what I'm going to need from you is your utmost cooperation, is that understood?"
  323. >You merely nodded your head dumbly.
  324. >"Excellent! Now then, have a seat and let's chat a bit, shall we? I feel this will go much smoother if I actually get to know you a tad."
  325. >Which is precisely what Rarity did.
  326. >She got to know you very well, far better than anybody else had to be sure.
  327. >Though none of it was truly you.
  328. >More...
  329. >More of a projection of what you thought you were.
  330. >And that's how the evening progressed, every now and again the shop bell rang and Rarity excused herself to tend to the needs of the customers.
  331. >One thing bothered you though.
  332. >Why was she doing this?
  333. >Like she had said, you were going to be a lot of work.
  334. >So what did she have to gain from all of this?
  335. >However, it didn't really mater.
  336. >After all, you were with Rarity, what could be better?
  337. -
  338. >It was nearly dusk by the time Rarity began shooing you out of the shop so she could close up for the night.
  339. >After that, you didn't hear anything from her for the rest of the night.
  340. >Not even so much as a text.
  341. >But just to be safe, and show just how well mannered you were, you sent a text thanking her for a nice evening.
  342.
  343. >She didn't respond.
  344. >At least, not until you woke up for school the next morning.
  345. >You opened the text to see what she said.
  346. >Which to your surprise, wasn't what you expected.
  347. >Instead, she wrote...
  348. >*Anonymous, please do not wear that suit again today. Find the nicest pair of blue jeans you own along with a simple button up and wear that instead.*
  349. >You had just began to typea response when your pone indicated another text.
  350. >*Also, if I ever see that tie of yours again i'm going to shred it, for both our sakes.*
  351. >You decided not to respond, and for the first time in a year, you put on pair of jeans.
  352. >It felt wrong.
  353. >How could she expect you to go out in public looking like this?
  354. >Maybe it was a fetish of hers.
  355. >You shrugged it off and begrudgingly wore what she requested.
  356. >Upon arriving to school, you found her waiting impatiently by your locker.
  357. >Once you saw her, your pace increased along with your heart rate.
  358. >She hadn't noticed you yet, instead, she was furiously typing away at her phone.
  359. >Now was your chance to really sell yourself.
  360. >With all the cool you could muster you leaned against your locker, channeling as much of the Fonz as was possible
  361. "Hey baby, come here often?"
  362. >She stopped typing instantly, visibly cringing.
  363. >Quickly tucking her phone away she pivoted to look at you.
  364. >"Well, it's not too terrible. Though I should't be surprised that you've no jeans of finer quality, but it'll do."
  365. >She quickly grabbed the fabric of your shirt and began untucking it.
  366. >"This however, will not. Lesson number one, anonymous. This is a casual environment and you should dress accordingly. There is no need to tuck your shirt in."
  367. >A quick nod of approval and she motiond for you to spin around for her so she could see the back.
  368. >One full 360 later, and you were facing her.
  369. "So?"
  370.
  371. >"It'll have to do for now. Come to the shop again later today, we've much to discuss. Also, please, do not EVER call me baby, is that understood?"
  372. >And with that, she was gone, quickly making her way down the hall to French 102.
  373. >A pair of girls heading your direction looked at you, offering smiles and waves before going back to giggling about something.
  374. "Huh... That's weird."
  375. >Those girls never noticed you before.
  376. >At least as far as you knew.
  377. >So you gave a confused wave back.

  379. >The day went by much faster than usual.
  380. >Before you knew it, you were standing before the entrance to 'Kim Ho's'.
  381. >All day, you had gotten more than just a few looks from the girls at school.
  382. >You wondered just what the hell was going on.
  383. >It couldn't be the small change in wardrobe could it?
  384. >No, there had to be something going on.
  385. >Something you weren't privvy to.
  386. >Maybe Rarity had something to do with it?
  387. >Only one way to find out.
  388. >So you pushed your way inside the shop.
  389. "Hey Rarity, it's me!"
  390. >"Come on back, darling!"
  391. >You found Rarity back in the same spot as yesterday, sewing what looked like a pair of jeans together.
  392. >You had just opened your mouth to speak when she quickly cut the thread, removed the pants and tossed them to you pointing to a fitting room a few feet away.
  393. >"Go put these on so I can see how they look."
  394.
  395. >While you were inside, she tossed a few more articles over the door, including a belt and different pair of shoes.
  396. >"Once you've got all that on, step out so I can get a good look."
  397. >Doing as she instructed, you quickly undressed and redressed in the prescribed outfit.
  398. >When all was said and done, you looked in the mirror to see what you looked like.
  399. >Blue jeans, grey button up and a light blue v-neck shirt.
  400. >It wasn't all that special, though you had to admit, it wasn't half bad.
  401. >Stepping out, you did your best to not blush as Rarity closely examined everything.
  402. >"Roll your sleeves up a tad bit, not too much just one or two folds should suffice."
  403. >Ok, who rolls their sleeves?
  404. >Whatever.
  405. >Seeming to accept the results with rolled sleeves, she took a seat at her table and motioned for you to take a seat.
  406. >"Tell me, Anonymous. Why exactly do you wear that suit every day?"
  407. >Why not would be a better question.
  408. "Because unlike most of society, I actually have class."
  409. >You rolled your eyes, she should know this.
  410. >"Darling, wearing an ill fitted suit is not the definition of class. Nor will it ever be. I'm sorry to be so harsh, but it's simply true."
  411. >Ill fitted?
  412. >That suit fits like a glove!
  413. "What do you mean? That suit is what makes me who I am!"
  414. >"I'm well aware of your opinion on the matter, Anonymous, so tell me. Have you noticed anything odd today?"
  415. >Yeah.
  416. "No."
  417. >"Don't lie to me, darling. I've heard some things about you today. Quite a few compliments if I do say so myself."
  418. "So? Maybe they're just finally coming around."
  419. >"That's not it dear. No, rather it has something to do with the way you dressed, or rather the way I told you to dress."
  420. >Ok, maybe she has a point there.
  421. >"So here's the deal Anonymous. I've prepared you a series of outfits for the rest of the week. Mix and match the as you please, they all go well together, but do NOT, I cannot stress that enough, wear that suit ever again. Do yourself a favor and donate it to some thrift store."
  422.
  423. >Get rid of your suit?
  424. >That's blasphemous!
  425. >"Now that that's all taken care of, Anon darling, I'm going to need you to do something else for me."
  426. >great, what was she going to do now, tell me to not be myself?
  427. >"You need to drop the facade, dear. This whole idea of chivalry and such you have is not only outdated, but completely wrong. Not only that, but your attempts at machismo are revolting to say the least."
  428. >That was just downright insulting!
  429. >What were you supposed to do?
  430. >Act like a robot?
  431. >"Now we're going to attempt some simple conversation."
  432. >You opend your mouth to spea but were instantly hushed.
  433. >"Without the theatrics, darling. Please, spare me the headache."
