  2.
  3. Tragedy on racecourse! One dead!
  4. Schlomo Shekelstein, May 18, 20XX
  5. Disaster struck yesterday when a high schooler, now identified to be 18 year old Nao Hiroyuki, was struck by a truck during the annual Yokohama truck drag race. The student was killed instantly after he wandered onto the race track. Police are still working to determine his motive, but suicide is suspected.
  6. The Yokohama truck drag race is usually an event that attracts thousands of spectators annually. Started in 1984, it consists of truck drivers participating in a series of races. Although initially limited to 3 trailer drag races, there are now multiple race types involved. The race in question was the multi-trailer drifting race, where truck drivers compete for the best drift.
  7. Driving his three-trailer logging truck, John Bushwick, a Canadian racer who had come to Japan especially for the event was forced to suddenly swerve when the Japanese student calmly left the spectators area and walked onto the track. However, in a cruel twist of fate, the logger was too good a driver and his three trailers drifted perfectly into the student, who was announced dead at the scene.
  8. Hiroyuki’s classmates describe him as a quiet, polite boy and expressed their shock at the tragedy. The president of the Japanese truckers association has also expressed his consolations to the family, but has stated that the Yokohama races will continue next year as well. Hiroyuki’s funeral will be held in a week’s time.
