TRAINEE PERIOD
ー she was a trainee under jyp ent. for three years. but due to personal reasons, she moved to fave ent. and trained for one year there. she then moved again to jellyfish ent. where she trained for one year and two months before debuting.
TRIVIAS
ー since chae's able to speak many languages, she often mixes them up when she talks (she usually unconsciously switches to the language that fits best with what she's expressing at the moment). chae also sleep talks (or more like mumble) in korean and mandarin.
ー she's. always. smiling. and everyone just can't help but smile too when they're around her.
ー because of her bright and bubbly personality, she gained a cute image. but when it comes to dancing on stage and practicing, her attitude does a 180 and her aura changes completely. she becomes serious and charismatic.
ー despite her young age, she has very good leadership skills.
ー chae is very good at acrobatics, it's one of the things she's most confident in.
ー she is very smart musically, but she's just really bad in school. if you ask her to produce a song and finish a choreography in a week, she'd do it in a heartbeat. but then you ask her to do two pages of math homework, and i think she'd prefer jumping off a cliff.
ー whenever she poses for a camera, she does the 'v' and finger heart sign so often that people think it's her favorite pose (no, she just doesn't know how else to pose).
ー though outgoing and extroverted, she often gets very insecure of herself and her surroundings. she would overthink too much and obsess over what people thinks of her. this became her greatest weakness.
ー chae also has trouble dealing with her emotions as well as expressing her feelings, which is hard especially for someone who is as sensitive as her. so, she usually just bottles it up and keep it to herself as she thinks it would be best not to inconvenience others with sentiments like this.
ー chae is best friends with soon to be debuting, 1the9's jeon doyum. they first met when she became a trainee under fave ent. and bonded through their love of dancing and tumbling. but chae's closest friend is her bandmate, yoo shinha. they met when she was a trainee under jyp ent. and reunited again in jellyfish ent. where they end up debuting together. she's also friends with many jyp idols and trainees as she used to train there for quite a long time.

SUGGESTIONS FOR THE MISSIONS
ー because chae loves to challenge herself, i think a mission where the trainees have to self produce everything themselves would be something that she would want to do.  the trainees would be divided into groups with members of different skills, and they'll make their own song, choreograph their own dance, arrange their own parts, and etc. i think chae will find this challenge very fun. and it's a great way to really give the trainees the freedom to show off their own talents to the audience, and learn more about teamwork and independence.
SUGGESTED SCENES WITH OTHER TRAINEES
ー i'd really like to see the trainee's reaction to chae's duality being shown in the survival. in general she would be seen as the adorable kid that she is and having fun with the other trainees, especially the older ones, but i hope her serious side can also shine. maybe a scene where she's kind of leading the practice? and she keeps asking the other trainees to focus. the trainee's reaction to her leading the practice would be very much appreciated!
SUGGESTED CONCEPTS THAT YOU WANT TO TRY?
ー i think chae is quite adaptable and can do any concept if she tried, but maybe a teen crush concept where her powerful dancing can shine? dreamy concepts where she can show off her contemporary dance would also be great! i don't know how to explain but here are some concept examples: loona's "favorite" & "butterfly", olivia hye's "egoist", jinsoul's "singing in the rain", gugudan's "the boots" & "not that type", weki meki's "la la la", itzy's "dalla dalla", red velvet's "bad boy".
