PERSONALITY:

    Always learning, Iseul is the curious scholar of the group. She is often found reading, whether it be a textbook or not with a cup of tea by her side. As a matter of fact, she embodies the image of your stereotypical bookworm - introverted, quiet, and shy. And let’s not forget her love of books.

    The first trait of the three makes her cherish her alone time, and doesn’t interact with the other princesses too much. When she is with them, though, Iseul is usually standing off to the side, observing the conversation rather than getting involved in it - besides, she isn’t listened to much considering the fact that her soft voice loses attention very quickly.

    Additionally, Iseul purposefully distances herself from others due to her clumsiness and unluckiness, as she feels that this will become a burden to others, which is the exact opposite of what she wants. But because of this, it’s hard to get close to her due to her solitary attitude. This also comes with independence and a reserved nature that has Iseul doing things herself instead of coming to others for help - after all, she’ll be learning more that way.

    Iseul also often finds herself judging everyone around her. She’s very observant because of this, and is like a living lie detector. Yet, despite how beneficial this can be, it’s one of Iseul’s biggest flaws, as she is always prejudicing everyone she crosses paths with. Thankfully, she is able to keep this to herself, though - but that doesn’t stop her from complaining about it through writing poems, writing in her journal, or anything of the like.

    Don’t let this stop you from befriending her, though - Iseul’s actually pretty gentle and kind, always ready to help, and has some pretty good advice to give when needed, surprisingly. Adding to this, even though she sounds like an old woman who has experienced all that life has to offer, Iseul is actually quite naive at times, even a bit slow.

FIRST MEET:

    Iseul and Hansol met on somewhat awkward terms that were nothing short of cliche. Iseul was on her way out of her tower in an attempt to sneak out so that she could walk around the castle gardens during the night. Although, her method of escape wasn’t particularly safe, considering that it was a long climb down from several blankets and curtains and other fabrics tied together to form a long rope from her bedroom window. When she was in the process of climbing down, though, a part of the makeshift rope untied, sending Iseul down, down down. Yet, despite the fact that she thought that this was the end for her, she landed in the arms of someone - and for once, luck was on her side.

    But the owner of those arms?

    You guessed it - the owner of those arms belonged to none other than ARIEL’s royal butler, HANSOL.


HIS FIRST IMPRESSION:


      ↳ CRAZY- after all, Iseul had landed in his arms from such a high way up, what else what he
        going to think?

      ↳ COLD & a little RUDE- Iseul had immediately demanded him to put her down once she
         processed their current situation, and was quick to put some distance between them

      ↳ TACITURN - Iseul didn’t say much during their first encounter, leading Hansol to think this

      ↳ ECCENTRIC - Iseul’s reasoning for climbing down a tower on an unreliable and makeshift
          rope lead to this observation (her reasoning being to take a late night walk and to be
         alone since she barely gets time to herself during the day, thanks to her royal staff)

      ↳ INTIMIDATING - Hansol couldn’t help but feel a little scared with the way Iseul’s piercing
         eyes made her seem like she was judging his every word and action


HER FIRST IMPRESSION:


      ↳ NOSEY - Hansol asked lots of questions, and even if Iseul knew that he was only
         concerned about her safety, she didn’t like him poking around as much as he did

      ↳ SHY - Hansol was very flustered when Iseul was in his arms, and couldn’t stop
          stuttering afterwards

      ↳ KINDHEARTED - Hansol offered to take Iseul back to her bedroom as an awkward silence
         settled between them after he checked to make sure that she didn’t hurt herself several
         times. This lead Iseul to believe that the butler was one of the kinder ones

      ↳ TRUSTWORTHY - In addition, Hansol promised he wouldn’t tell Iseul’s staff what
         happened. Even though she didn’t necessarily trust him, she thought that he was
         somewhat trustworthy because of that

BACKGROUND:

    The daughter of a waitress and a self-employed artist, Iseul’s future was a bit doubtful. Nobody knew if she was going to do great things or not, though it appeared to be leaning towards the former.

     As a child, Iseul was like a sponge - she immediately sucked up everything she learned like a sponge, and was curious, always asking for more. She was an ace when it came to school, too. Yet, despite her smarts in this area, Iseul wasn’t exactly what you would call...street smart.

     Her extreme clumsiness and unluckiness got her into situations that worried her parents often, and she was soon homeschooled as dealing with all the accidents she got into became too much for her parents to handle. There, Iseul was taught by her older sister, Minseo, seeing that she was several grades ahead of her. After all, her parents had to work full time to support the family. Yet, even though Iseul and Minseo were sisters, they never really got along too well, seeing that their views and values were different. They didn’t talk much after Minseo went off to college, either.

     The only person that really kept Iseul company during that time was her grandmother. The two loved to do things together, such as bake, knit, and more - although, it turned into Iseul just watching her grandmother since a mess would always be made whenever Iseul took part in the activity. They couldn’t afford another atomic bomb “going off” in the kitchen, or Iseul managing to get herself tangled in string and more.

     Though, before she knew it, Iseul had to head off on her own, too. She never ended up going to college, seeing that she worked better in the domestic field than anything else. Although, she ended up in a office, to her disappointment, where she was stuck with workers who loved to treat her poorly. This was mainly due to the fact that she was considered “fresh meat” in the workplace.
