[9:03pm] TheWyrm: Where we last saw our brave band of adventurers, they had uncovered a temporal vault that had some of their names on it.  The vault was left by an alternate future version of the party, consisting of Astraea, Streinseir, Mithrandir, Gullinn, Illinca and Timothy.  This party came from a future where Balreagun never fell to the
[9:03pm] Haeroe is now known as Beneshra.
[9:03pm] TheWyrm: undead, but the Tsolchar invasion was never stopped and overran Bahtaer, Stonemight, the Dark Forest, and was spreading exponentially.  Unfortunately for the party, the vault made contact with the six party members it expected to find, unaware that four of them were no longer with the group.  Requiring three of the party members to

[9:03pm] TheWyrm: access the vault, an attempt was made to bring back Timothy from the Bahtaer mage guild.  Timothy, a wizard who previously worked with the party but found the his motivation lay in the kind of public recognition you can't get working in the shadows, declined to step out of his well guarded tower with Mithrandir and Gullinn
[9:03pm] Beneshra was granted voice by TheWyrm.
[9:03pm] TheWyrm: still on the loose.  Instead the pixie factotum Illinca, who was in jail for a 'knife juggling performance' gone horribly wrong, was brought back to open the vault.  Unfortunately Illinca was not as shielded as the rest of the party, and he was possessed by Mithrandir through an unknown means.  A verbal confrontation with Illinca
[9:04pm] TheWyrm: held hostage resulted in Mithrandir learning the location of the third temporal vault, somewhere deep in Brightleaf territory.  All the rumors and inteligence on his corruption confirmed, Mithrandir was driven out of the pixie by Pyresprite.  The party proceeded to empty the vault and leave before it ceased to exist.

[9:05pm] TheWyrm: We open on the party, standing in the hastily constructed blast shelter at the edge of the forest.  The dwarven and gnomish excavators have cracked open a case of alcohol and are getting properly drunk now that the expedition is just about over, as Steelwing Industries pays its contractors very well.

[9:08pm] TheWyrm: As the plate marked for Astraea shatters, a swirling mist emerges into the form of a metal cylinder, two feet tall and two feet across.  A large black on yellow symbol that looks like a boat propellar is
[9:08pm] TheWyrm: plastered across it.  An indentation in the top looks sized for Astraea's hand.
[9:09pm] Bronach: "Aw, do we need the hand of those 'guardians?'"
[9:10pm] Nym: "we need to leave before they get here.."

[9:11pm] TheWyrm: Strainseir blinks as he looks across the cylinder that appeared.  "I don't recognize it... you want me to speak to it?  Okay... hello?"  He taps the top of it gently.

[9:17pm] TheWyrm: (No bomb about to go off.  When the vault ran out of power, it simply ceased to exist and was replaced by the earth and stone it originally displaced)

[9:18pm] TheWyrm: Astraea, the device is as tall as you are.  It takes you a lot of struggle to fit it into your haversack, which bulges at the edges.

[9:18pm] TheWyrm: Strainseir glances at the map.  "I think we may want to exit the area.  There's probably a few hundred scrying sensors headed this way from Brightleaf, and I'd rather not give them more than an eyefull of drunken excavators."

[9:19pm] Nym: "well pick osmewhere and lets go."
[9:20pm] Bronach: "Will the scyring sensors leave the druids alone if we leave?"
[9:20pm] • Astraea nods, slinging the pack.. "you said theres a few hiden 'ports around brightleaf? lets head for a teleporter and go there.."
[9:20pm] • Pyresprite tries to convince the head dwarf to give he his hard hat.
[9:20pm] TheWyrm: Strainseir: "Probably.  They're not here to watch a bear shit in the woods, they're here for us."
[9:20pm] Pyresprite: (I want that hard hat...)
[9:21pm] Bronach: "Then we should go. Pyresprite, ask politely."
[9:21pm] TheWyrm: The dwarf is rather possessive of his hard hat, which you notice has a little plate on the front with the words "This is a helmet" written on it.
[9:21pm] • Pyresprite sighs, "may I please have your hat mr dwarf, Ill give you a gold for it."
[9:22pm] Pyresprite: (i somehow want it even more now...)

[9:22pm] TheWyrm: The dwarf scoffs at Pyresprite.  "Ya see, this is why I don't deal with halflings.  They think everything is for sale, and then they try to haggle."  He leans down and whispers a very indecent proposal to Pyresprite regarding an 'exchange' for the hat.
[9:23pm] Astraea: "can.. he bend that way? o.O"
[9:23pm] • Micha sighs and watches the comotion, securing his place in the space between his shield and his arm, so it is unseen.
[9:23pm] Pyresprite: "Well I only once before, ill just find another one."
[9:23pm] • Pyresprite starts following the party wherever it will go.
[9:23pm] • Astraea hops upon Bronach's shoulder..
[9:23pm] TheWyrm: The dwarf laughs and goes back to drinking with his crew.  Strainseir gathers the group together with a teleport scroll.  "Okay we'll be headed to one of the isolated areas to open the plates."
[9:24pm] • Pyresprite nods
[9:24pm] • Bronach smiles to Astraea
[9:25pm] TheWyrm: The surroundings blur as Strainseir expertly invokes the scroll.  The party finds themselves on a hill in what looks like a very rural area.  You can see for miles in every direction, with the occasional farmhouse or herd of cows dotting the landscape.
[9:26pm] • Nym is about to explode and smashes the plate
[9:26pm] Astraea: "well.. unless the cows are gonna spy on us... i think we're pretty isolated.."
[9:26pm] Bronach: "Excited Nym?"
[9:26pm] TheWyrm: Strainseir glances over to the teleportation marker and turns the knob, the intricate rune on the sign shifting ever so slightly.  "Facinating system, I can see why the Wayfarers use it.  Accurate teleportation location that can be denied with a turn of a switch."
[9:27pm] TheWyrm: You have five plates remaining: Illinca, Mithrandir, Gullinn, Timothy and Strainseir.
[9:27pm] • Pyresprite is taking timothy's plate out of her bag of holding, to break the sucker.

[9:28pm] • Micha pulls Mithrandir's plate from the secured position and breaks it at his feet
[9:28pm] • Bronach takes Illinca's plate and breaks it.
[9:28pm] • Pyresprite walks 10 feet away from the party, and breaks timothy's
[9:29pm] TheWyrm: As the plate marked for Gullinn is smashed, a set of gleaming golden armor sized for a large dragon takes form, clearly elven in design with flowing lines rather than sharp angles at the joints.  As Nym touches it, it shrinks down to tiny size.
[9:30pm] TheWyrm: (+1 called half-plate armor, grants immunity to poison, disease, ability damage, ability drain and negative energy)
[9:30pm] • Nym does backflips and drools over the shiny goldness
[9:30pm] Pyresprite: (+1 half plate of screw you suckers hahaha?
[9:31pm] Nym: (can i have the enchanm,ent transfered to my mithral chain and then sell the gold? im not remotely proficient in half plate)
[9:31pm] TheWyrm: As Pyresprite smashes the plate, a mist crawls into the air and takes the form of a cold iron staff with platinum and sapphire insets.  The staff is very heavy and perpetually cold.
[9:32pm] • Pyresprite cackles evilly while picking up the staff. then looks sheepish as she then realizes what she did
[9:33pm] Pyresprite: (couldnt help myself)
[9:33pm] • Bronach raises an eyebrow at Pyresprite
[9:33pm] TheWyrm: Micha, as Mithrandir's plate is smashed, a greatsword forms in the air before you.  As you grasp the hilt of the sword, you immediately know what it is... a named sword; "Frenzy of the abhorrent."  Aside from being a +3 keen aberration bane adamantite greatsword, any aberration who views it unsheathed must make a will save DC 25 or attack the weilder.
[9:33pm] Bronach: "Pyresprite, if I get a hat, I'll give it to you."
[9:33pm] Pyresprite: "why thank you!"
[9:34pm] TheWyrm: Bronach, the plate  breaks daintly at your feet, leaving only an amulet with "As nature intended" written across it.

[9:34pm] Bronach: "Um..."
[9:34pm] Astraea: "wow.. that laugh sounded quite authentic.. is there.. something you want to share?"
[9:34pm] • Micha looks at the item and hrms, checking the balance " Not the chosen weapon of Pelor, but a powerful artifact none the less "
[9:35pm] TheWyrm: Pyresprite, as you pick up the staff, your hair bursts into fire, your elemental bloodline running wild... and it burns you for 1 damage.
[9:35pm] • Bronach looks at the amulet, shrugs and puts it in her pocket. "It will be a nice addition to Mushroom's collar."
[9:35pm] Pyresprite: (the staff burns me? or my hair?)
[9:35pm] TheWyrm: Strainseir cracks his plate, leaving a pair of tiny white objects in his palm.  "What in the world..."  He glances closer.  "Are those..." He holds them out for the party to see: A pair of fangs.
[9:35pm] TheWyrm: (Your hair burns you)
[9:36pm] Pyresprite: (so...is it actually hurting me, or am I being healed now like regen?)
[9:36pm] • Micha looks to the fangs and nods a bit " looks like "

[9:36pm] • Bronach looks closely at the fangs, "Oh! I lost my fangs, can I have?"
