I personally don't like or trust them because I believe most people use fiverr for fake reviews, just like people sending products for 5* reviews on amazon.

But what do you think about video reviews?

I would say anything that counts words reviews is a great achievement. Small sweat and short review matters... one should take the time to see the video...that matters...no time for people now a days to see a 1 min video..

But I have seen companies like godaddy, hostgator etc.. do video reviews to attract the attention of many.

My opinion about video reviews is "it works"..

Not really.

Most videos look pathetic, and you question whether the person speaking knows about web hosting at all. Or the video is full of clip art, stock images, graphs, and meme images, and just leaves the viewers more confused that when they started. They're all junk with a few thousand views at most.

Almost all reviews are tainted in some way, and have some form of compensation attached tot them. Video reviews are not any different, and for some businesses, a joke. Somewhere there's either an affiliate link, or the convincing that its a honest review, and there was no form of compensation for their time to script and produce the video.

You can come to know about the fake reviews from the style of speed and gestures. Actually, if the artist is not so good in make the review like real one. Then you will come to know it's fake. There are some real vloggers for real reviews. They will give there genuine feedback and no one else. They youtube channels are specifically on reviews and they take reviews when few majority of people ask him to review.

It is all about money, more money better "reviews". Of course many companies are doing a really good job, but my experience is this, the biggest the company it is, less attentions to the customers details, anyway money are coming in...So I always try to go with companies with no so many reviews and try to build a two ways trust...If you always are saying the truth to your customers you always go into a 2 ways trust relation, and that is the most important thing between the customers and the company. Just my opinion...

Video takes far more effort than simple writing, which can be the full gamut to honest to dishonest. The only entities that would take on the time/funds investment for this sort of thing is an operation like Consumer Reports. Not Joe Blow vlogger, trying to BS his way into $$$.

Well, videos do garner the most "attention", but, like any other type of review online, have a high chance of being fake. I don't believe all of them are fake and it's easy to spot which ones are obviously not real. Just use your discretion. Lots of people are making videos these days because it's the next big thing in getting a user's attention.

What person is going to make a review video for a service that's a few dollars a month? They're paying in the first place, so unless they are getting paid for a review it doesn't make sense when they could write a review online, not to mention it would be better for the host since it would attract attention via SEO. If they are a large company with thousands of dollars worth of services with you it is different.

Indirect review as a case study about some client using some service, etc. I suppose can be trusted. (even this one is for sure somehow paid)

but those pure video reviews about some XYZ company/service/product... It's 100% paid and most of the time fake.
Those reviews we can see even on TV ads... Some people still believe it
