He is only took cared of by his single father with his big brother. The Mother died of an unknown illness as he was told by his Father...after that they moved to Korea where his grandparents lived. He spent his majority of his childhood in South Korea where he grew interested in bands and learned to play the guitar. His idols growing up were bands. He likes singing and was praised by his family for having good vocals so he tried auditioning to become an idol, was really surprised he got in despite the pretty bad performance in the audition. When he was training, other trainees ridiculed him saying that his looks are what got him in and called him talentless. He wanted to prove them wrong and trained solo. A group evaluation was given and Mashiro was anxious because he has not been socialising with the other trainees in fear of his bullies. His group evaluation didn’t end well because of the issues they caused by fighting and arguing with each other, the company did not tolerate their behavior and kicked them out making him frustrated and almost quit. He stopped to realize that his skills will just be wasted if he gave up so he decided to put up with it and auditioned in another Company, Woollim Ent. they were one of the companies that scouted him so he was glad enough to train and get to debut now
