		Region Basics
Region Name: Skoria
Name Origin: Greek for "rust"
Basic Information: A region once at the center of a vast and large empire, it slowly declined starting three hundred years ago until a great war sixty years ago caused the nation to balkanize into several smaller regions. As the years past by, the region slowly grew more and more irrelevant. Outside of tourism and history, the region does not provide much on a global scale.

Gym Leader: Atticus (Athena) - Fighting
Ace Pokemon: Gallade
Leader Info: The curator of the Skoria Historical Museum. He is rather protective of people from outside regions getting involved with his archaeological findings. He is seen as cold and calculating, often getting straight to the point.
	Lamia, Central Greece
Gym Leader: Echo (Lamia) - Dark
Ace Pokemon: Malamar
Leader Info: Echo is the daughter of a blind oracle whose bloodline dates to the earliest years of Skoria. She is often by nightmares of visions from both the future and past, causing her to spend a lot of time in isolation.
	Thessaloniki, Central Macedonia
Gym Leader: Ries (Heracles) - Ground
Ace Pokemon: Excadrill
Leader Info: Ries is a bold and red blooded trainer who was on the quest to challenge the League. However, a freak accident that caused his rival to become gravely injured. This caused him to retire and work with Atticus on excavating the ruins found throughout the region.
	Knossos, Crete
Gym Leader: Damaris (Hera) - Dragon
Ace Pokemon: Haxorus
Leader Info: Damaris is the self-proclaimed descendant of the last monarch of the island kingdom that once rivaled Skoria in power. Many are willing to believe her because of the same fabled power she has with the powerful dragons on the island as the royal bloodline was believed to have.
	Komotini, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace
Gym Leader: Phillip (Sabazios) - Fire
Ace Pokemon: Rapidash
Leader Info: Phillip has been a professional trainer since the days where he started his journey just like many other trainers. However, he kept hitting roadblock after roadblock. Taking pity and needing to retire, his predecessor gave him a position at the gym.
	Ioannina, Epirus
Gym Leader: Galen (Harmonia) - Ice
Ace Pokemon: Skorian Seviper (Ice)
Leader Info: Galen has always been stuck with the short-end of the stick. The position of gym leader was never his choice, but rather forced upon him by his father. At first, he didn't even like ice types but slowly found himself growing fond of them.
	Corfu, Ionian Islands
Gym Leader: Naida (Poseidon) - Water
Ace Pokemon: Gastrodon
Leader Info: Naida is one of the few remaining storm shamans left in Skoria. She is not often found in her gym because of the demand needed of her to bless ships and sate the needs of the forgotten storm deity that once ravaged the region.
	Mytilene, North Aegean
Gym Leader: Calliope (Sappho) - Psychic
Ace Pokemon: Gothitelle
Leader Info: A rather prominent author and poet known for her female protagonists, Calliope is one of the wealthiest people in Skoria. Her life seems rather private otherwise, except for the fact she always spends so much time with the Gothitelle.

Gym Leader: Jedrick (Ares) - Bug
Ace Pokemon: Durant
Leader Info: A relentless survivalist who pushes himself to the very extremes of humanity. Although well respected as a gym leader, he is often seen as arrogant and brash due to how often he tries to push his views on training onto other people.

Gym Leader: Zephyr (Hermes) - Flying
Ace Pokemon: Braviary
Leader Info: Zephyr is the grand admiral of Skoria's merchant navy and the person most responsible for making it one of the largest in the world after the failure of the economic miracle from forty years ago. With demand from the north for goods from far-away regions, shipping has become Skoria's lifeline to a better future.

Leader Info: The owner of a struggling winery
	Karyes, Mount Athos
Gym Leader: Lysias (Athos) - Rock
Ace Pokemon: Carracosta
Leader Info: Lysias is a former lead scientist who specialized in studying fossil Pokemon. However, when his peers started releasing these Pokemon into the wilds of Skoria, the project lost funding and he moved to the top of a mountain known for being a fossil Pokemon hot spot. Others followed him and a new town was born.
