Legendary Gen 2 router Entrpntr released his "GSC DV Helper" program for speedrunning Gold and Crystal in late 2015. Little did he know that the program itself would become the best meme game ever.

Unlike Dailyleaf's Gen 1 DV Helper program, the Gen 2 helper does not allow runners to select DVs manually. So experienced runners can't just calculate DVs in their head and then plug them in for the benefit of viewers; they must instead click on each Pokemon they kill (about 30-40 clicks) so that the program can calculate DVs for them (hint Entr hint).

While at times tedious for running Gold and Crystal, this approach actually makes a neat speedgame by itself. Simply generate a random Totodile using a random number generator, then see how quickly you can get the program to display your exact DVs. You'll need to level up Totodile to complete the run, and higher levels narrow down your DVs more than lower levels.

Just like in traditional speedruns, some Totodiles are faster than others, but nearly all Totodiles can complete the run quickly with proper strategy and execution.

RULES
- The timer starts when you make your first input in the random number generator and ends when all 5 DVs are visible in the DV helper
- The first random number generated must be the Attack DV, the second must be Defense, the third Special, and the fourth Speed
- Currently approved random number generators: BotGotsThis. This is a Twitch bot that can be found in the chats of many Pokemon speedrunners. You must use the command "!roll 0 15".

KNOWN STRATEGIES

"Poliwag brute force" -- Poliwags give the most experience of any wild Pokemon (substitute Hoppips in Gold), and you can hold the Enter key to kill wild Pokemon one after another. As soon as you generate your DVs, hold Enter until you reach L10-16. Use this time to calculate your HP DV in your head. Then click on your DVs. Repeat until you've narrowed all DVs down to a single value.
