  1. Gavin Mauger: There was so much going on in the Mauger castle, energies flowing this way and that, dark and light, mixed with kindred, demon, and mage, and it was beginning to feel like everything else in between, Gavin honestly was feeling a sensory over load, something he hadn't experienced in many years. With everything going on, he couldn't stand to be near the Maurger grounds at this point, Alice's fit because of her misfit being embraced, Ray and Shay going through another portal, Kirrin still no where to be found, Kali, Raven and the one known as Ceal having taken to another portal, Malik being well Malik, and he was even going to begin on the creepy sense he got from Alice's employer Lady Aife, not to mention the other two kindred that came and went, it was more than he was use to and took a great deal to keep balanced with all the energies, he needed space to clear his head, and there was but one place he knew of that offered such things, the wild.
  2. The Carpathian Mountain side was one of many he hadn't had the chance to explore in his younger days, though now was as good a time as any, being the trinity of Dynamism he had no fear of something coming up on him, the energies were near constant, like a river cutting through the lands, he had a pretty good sense of the space and time around him, being Rabisu the wildlife and the natural surroundings were more home to him than any city or castle could possibly be, though it had taken him many years to accept what he was, certainly didn't help to be raised with the thoughts and knowledge that what he was was an abomination to the hunters and just about every other supernatural. It wasn't until he found his sister, or more like his sister found him, that he even considered using the abilities the Rabisu demons held, having repressed it for so long Alice was on the verge of believing his demonic side died, naturally that was not the case, but it did take a bit of coaxing, and a lot of training.
  3. The mountains offered yet another unique opportunity, at least for him any way, it was always said that they once housed a structure created and built by a Tzimisce Methuselah known as Yorak, crafting a vast and rather haunting Cathedral out of nothing more that the flesh and bone of the victims to fall prey to the oddity of the structure known of the Cathedral of Flesh, walls of mouths that sang songs of agony, eyes that watched your every move, some even said that the cathedral itself was alive and had devoured its own creator before vanishing, rumored to have appeared from time to time across the lands, but nothing ever concrete. But it wasn't the cathedral Gavin sought to find evidence of, but the demonic entity that was said to be bound to the lands deep beneath the carpathian mountains, Kupala. A demon's whose influence is said to be the cause of many varying wars along the lands, for reasons only known to its own, though there were said to be some that it would share thoughts and images with, prophetic sight in a way, though none truly ever understood the meaning behind any of it.
  4. The fact a demon of such power and knowledge remained bound to the earth, the fact it was the first known demonic entity to be bound to any lands as it was, Gavin honestly couldn't help but feel drawn to it, being Rabisu, the protectors of nature, it was as though in a long round about way, he was meant to be a guardian of sorts to this Kupala, even though one such as itself wouldn't truly need a guardian.
  5. Though the energy on the mountain was a great deal stronger, it was one, there was no sense of any other energy really, nothing that would seemingly scratch the surface of the darkness and forboding evil that held these mountians, the depth of the energy even didn't feel unnatural, it had been there for so long it truly felt as though Kupala was made by the lands, or the lands were made by the demon. Though it was said Kupala was freed from the lands, the energy alone made it feel as though it were still very much there, be it the saturation of the demon's energy over the course of centuries, of the idea that the entity may very well be there still, Gavin couldn't help but feel at peace.
  6.
  7. Azrial Voltarene: The depths of the silver serpent gaze moved along the lands from which his life had been changed, memories passing through his mind of wandering the mountains all those centuries ago, the search for a cure for his beloved sister, the songs of agony seeming more like the songs of sirens. Little did he know at the time that it was the influence of the demon Kupala that called to him, that lead him to the Cathedral of Flesh and that permitted him the unlife, to purify the demons lands of such tainted beings as the hybrids, those horrid little demons that tried to claim the soil as their own, the sweet songs of their songs filling the air as he took their skin from their frames and added it to the cathedral, offering the meat to the demon and adding their blood to the pool, their bones were stronger than many other creatures and used to enforce the structure itself. So many lovely memories of the days during training, the different ways Yorak had showed him how to move the blade through the flesh and how it pull different sounds from the being beneath it, such sweet music the two made, though he was created by the collaberation of the cathedral itself and the demon entity, he had always seen Yorak as a great teacher, and thought it fitting when his creator devoured its own creator.
  8. However many centuries ago those days felt, the energy of the demon and the cathedral itself had never left the lands of the Carpathian Mountains, santurated so deeply with the blood of their victims, these lands would forever remain energized with the darkness and evil of the entity that was Kupala. It still drewn many other supernaturals to these lands, mages tried to bond and harness the energies within the lands, only to be corrupt so intensly it was as though their bodies rotted from the inside out, demons tried to claim it only to meet their own ends, the kindred seeming the only ones to repect the idea of the lands already being claimed and took to the lands at the foot of the mountains, even the hunters had sent their preists in to cleanse the lands only to find them dead by their own hands the following day, even the kine were effected, thoughts of such darkness taking seed, many would go mad, others cmmiting such hayness crimes with such violence similair to the Tzimisce Eldest. Oh such sweet memories that came to him from these lands, and such possibilities to create new ones.
  9. His game already begun with the so called Voivode of Voivodes, the Lord of the lands that ruled over the old Dracul home, setting in motion the seeds of darkness within not only the ancients mind, but the mind of his newest childer and his grandchilder as well, one he had truly hoped would come back to the side of reason, and even possibly bring his lovely new mate along for the ride. Of course both would have to be cleansed of such taint and imperfections, but that was an easy enough feat for the purifier, though that was neither here nor there at the moment, the game had been in motion long enough for such ideas to be banked on as of yet, not to mention there were many other pawns at play this time around, three sets of triads with a single family bloodline, hybrids of varying skills and purposes, and purity in amongst such taint, offering to be made with such sweet songs to be sung, just thinking abou tit made him shudder with excitement and anticipation, he truly couldn't wait to see how everything would play out.
  10. And what was this, a single pawn moving on it's own, far from the influences of those that gathered within such confines, unafraid of the darkness that holds the mountian side, unvased by the evil energies that flowed through the very soil he walked upon, but the young lad seemingly more than just that. The man smelt older than most in the territory, though appeared so young, the magic of a trinity mage flowing through his entirey frame spoke greatly into the fact his appearance had be frozen in time, no not just his appearance, his life in general, the scent of a Mauger, the same slight hint of Malik, not childe, nor grandchilde, nephew perhaps. Could it be possible one of the triads within the castle was the metaphysic trinity, a wheel present in this day and age, such luck. But there was something deeper still, another side of the coin as it were, something darker, was that a demonic energy he felt, Rabisu, Devourers within the land of the living, what in the 9 hells was truly going on.
  11. A dark grin passed over his lips as he rose to his bare feet, the full extent of the skeletal tattoo in plane view as he wore no shirt to cover it from sight, the multi-tone blonde dreads were always pulled back from his face to keep from those silver serpent like eyes. He wasn't very tall at all only standing at 5'9", in all hjonesty if it were for the tattoos of a skeleton covering him from head to toe, it was unlikely any would truly think this man a threat, just looking at him, he looked as though he might weigh 150lbs soaking wet. "Is cosúil go bhfuil tú i bhfad i gcéin ón gcuid eile de do chomhghleacaithe." (You seem rather distant from the rest of your comrades.) Azrial spoke kindly in the man's native tongue as he approached the grey haired lad casually.
  12.
  13. Gavin Mauger: He spun his frame and took hold of the colt at his back, drawing it just as his 6' frame stopped to face the approaching man, the grey hair along his head slicked back was too short to fall into his sharp artic blue gaze, leaving clear sight as he aimed the hunters weapon directly at the man's chest, though he made certain not to make eye contact with him, he could feel the kindred energy flowing from him, though it was an odd energy to say the least, similair but still quite different from that of his Uncle, "Agus cén gnó atá agatsa?" (And what business is it of yours?) his words were strong, with little to no sign of fear within them. His stance steady, his arm unwavered, the hunter in him taking his mind as he kept his eyes just at the crevas of his throat.
  14.
  15. Azrial Voltarene: Stopping in his steps he raised his hands, showing no weapons on his being nor any intent of attack, "Anois, má bhí mé ina bhagairt cén fáth a dtabharfainn féin le fios?" (Come now, if I was a threat why would I make myself known?) He noticed the lad had avoided any form of eye contact, so he was aware of the kindred and their abilities, more so he was aware that he was kindred, interesting. Lowering his hands he stuffed them into his pockets and turned them out, showing there was nothing concealed within. "Níl aon ghnó agamsa, ach díreach fiosracht maidir le cén fáth nach bhfuil tú ag baint taitnimh as a gcuideachta." (Tis no business of mine lad, simply just curiosity as to why you're not enjoying their company.)
  16.
  17. Gavin Mauger: was hesitant at first but still, there was no impending threat feeling flowing from the man before him, the fact he even held his hands up and turned out his pockets to show there was nothing there did set his mind in a slight ease, though the man was kindred, and they didn't need weapons for an attack. "Mar a chéile, ní thagaim mo anáil riamh an bhfuil sé i gceist acu ionsaí a dhéanamh nó nach n-ullmhaíonn mé, ach ní ullmhaím é ach oiread, go háirithe nuair a bhíonn mé ag bualadh le cineál nua a tharlaíonn a bheith ag spiaireacht orainn." (As kindred, I never hold my breath as to whether or not they intend to attack, I simply prepare for it either way, especially when meeting a new kindred that just happens to be spying on us.)
  18.
  19. Azrial Voltarene: "Dealraíonn sé cóir go leor." (Seems fair enough.) he grinned and tucked his pockets back into the fabric layers of his pants. "Insíonn an fhíric go bhfuilim féin comhchineálach agus an chaoi a bhfreagraíonn tú do mo láithreacht liom féin go bhfuil go leor rithí agat le mo chineál." (The fact you know I'm kindred and how you react to my presence alone tells me you've had many run ins with my kind.) He never tried to force eye contact with the man, he didn't even try to move any closer than what the man was comfortabel with, keeping up the appearance of nonthreatening.
  20.
  21. Gavin Mauger: "s léir go bhfuil tú ag breathnú orainn go leor chun a fháil amach cad tá mé ar gach leibhéal, ní cosúil leis an gcineál gur gá duit é a chur in iúl duit." (You've clearly been watching us long enough to know what I am on every level, you don't seem the type to need it spelt out for you.) he lowered his gun and slipped it back into the holster at his back, turning his gaze from the man to cast it back out over the scene before him, "Agus má tá a fhios agat go fírinneach, ní raibh ach an iomarca fuinnimh éagsúla sa chaisleán. Bhí sé thar a bheith mór dom díriú ar rud ar bith. Ba é an dúlra riamh an dúlra, agus ní raibh an deis agam riamh na sléibhte seo a iniúchadh roimhe seo." (And if you truly must know, there was just too many different energies in the castle. It was beginning to be a bit overwhelming for me to focus on anything. Nature has always been my go to, and I have never had the chance to explore these mountains before.)
  22.
  23. Azrial Voltarene: So the man wasn't a fool nor an idiot, the gun reeked of hunters, and the fact he spoke of energies told him more or less which trinity it was the man fell under. He raised a brow at the idea of the rabisu finding soloace in nature, truly the man knew of what he was, at least the history of the lands as well, why it would call to him in such a way, he seemed far to clever to not know these sort of things. "Mar sin féin, is féidir le sluaite an bealach sin a fháil cibé an bhfuil siad osnádúrtha de ghorta simplí, déanaim iarracht iad féin a sheachaint." (Aye, crowds can get that way whether they are supernatural of simply kine, I do so try to avoid them myself.) the light chuckle that flowed past his lips with his words seem even more like he was simply looking for a conversation. Turning he would gaze out over to the lights of town at the base of the mountians, miles from the castle, but still close enough to be within the same line of sight as it were, memories of when it was nothing more than a village flowed through his mind.
  24.
  25. Gavin Mauger: Looked to the man next to him after his comments and raised a brow, a kindred who avoided crowds, that wasn't unheard of but at the same time, it made him curious as to who this being was, seeing that look of nastralgia in his eyes he looked back out over the town and castle lights. "Nature is so simple in comparison to all that." he nodded as he took to the english language, though his words were heavy with that irish accent.
  26.
  27. Azrial Voltarene: "It certainly does feel so much simpler than anything any other race has ever created, you either live and survive or die and feed the strong. Even the earth itself takes what it wants from you, and it does not have to give back either." He had kept his hands in his pockets, showing the lad he had no intentions of touch either, though it was a knee jerk reaction and offered his hand in a shake with his next words, "Azrial Voltarene, pleasure to meet you."
  28.
  29. Gavin Mauger: Looked to the man as he introduced himself, glancing down at his hand as he offered a shake, he was more than aware of many of the clans needing nothing more than a single touch or eye contact to use many of their disciplines, but this whole time the man had shown no force of eye contact, no threats of any kind, hell he even kept his hands tucked away in his pockets as yet another clear sign of non threatening, could it truly be that this kindred was simply looking for conversation, "Forgive me if I don't shake your hand. Gavin Mauger, pleasure."
  30.
  31. Azrial Voltarene: a grinn danced over his lips as a soft chuckle passed them, "Right sorry, truly a force of habbit." he said as he pulled his hand back to his pocket, even with all the precautions Gavin was taking, there was one he missed, the slow seeping power of Awe. No touch nor eye contact would be needed, though it is generally an effect that is immediate and intense, he had learned how to create a seeping effect with with it, much like the ability Conditioning, where it slowly over time takes effect and hold within the beings mind, and the fact Gavin had already looked to him without even thinking abou tit was clear indication that it was taking hold. "Well Gavin, do you know of the tales of these mountains, considering you seem to know a great deal of the supernatural."
  32.
  33. Gavin Mauger: offered Azrial a soft smirk before turning to look back over the lights of town for a brief moment, allowing his mind to wander just a touch, he truly didn't feel any threat from this kindred, which in on itself was odd enough. "Yeah, tales of a ancient and dark demon dwelled within the depth of the mountains for centuries, freed only to used as a proxy for some kindred battle or other, one of goddess knows how many." he responded to the suggested topic with his very short version of the lore, "Though I have to admit the Cathedral is far better scary story if you ask me." he chuckled lightly.
  34.
  35. Azrial Voltarene: "So you are aware of the darkness and the evil that resides here?" he chuckled lightly, as he turned to look to him, "That's probably why you feel so at peace here than, the fact your demon is drawn to the bound energies of the once earth bound Kupala." his influences would begin to dig deeper into Gavin's mind, that lingering and forboding darkness that would seep into the recess of his mind to find any weakness within, taking hold of the thoughts of his demonic side, the memroies of being seen as an abomination being the perfect soil for the seed to take root. Grinning once he knew those roots woud take hold, "It would seem that the tales of Dracula aren't the only ones still spoken through the communities." he chuckled again, more so the idea of the darkness taking hold within Gavins mind.
  36.
  37. Gavin Mauger: Hearing his responce he turned to look at Azrial as he turned to look to him, the eye contact he had been avoiding made, no by accident either, in his mind he was certain that Azrial wasn't a threat to him, the suggestion of his demon being what drew him to the location in the first place brought up the history of what he did know on the Rabisu, protectors and guardians of all nature, essentially the flesh crafters of the demonic world. "Being raised within the hunters comminuty, you hear more tales, legends, lore and myths than what the kine world could possibly even imagine. Dracul is just one of many for this area alone." it felt as though he had been speaking with an old friend that hadn't seen in rather long time.
  38.
  39. Azrial Voltarene: 'Gotcha' he thought when his silver and black serpent eyes met the artic hues of Gavins, with his gaze locked the dominant abilities would begin to take their hold, Conditioning being the first step, adding the the moisture to the soil for the seed to take hold, allowing the roots to spread and take in the nutrients it would need, Implanted Opinion was next, adding the fertalizer to the soil next to allow the roots to spread quickly, Fealty, Loyalty, and Obedience following quickly to give the roots strength, and Memory Block to prevent Malik or another for thatr matter of learning of what was done or said this night. The unexpected pawn may prove to be rather useful, though only time would tell. "You're quite intriguing young Gavin, I truly do hope you prove to be of more use to me than I think you will. For now, return to your family, let me see with your eyes and hearing with your ears, feel with your senses, I wish to know everything there is to know of what is happeneing within those walls. And naturally, none will know of our meeting, none will know of my influences over you, nor will they of the seed that has been planted." And like that, he was gone from sight.
  40.
  41. Gavin Mauger: the words Azrial spoke were stronger than he thought, those silver eyes seemingly digging into his very core as they took hold, 'damnit, why did I look?' he thought for a breif moment until those words Azrial spoke sunk deeper into his mind, those commands and orders taking hold far stronger than those of the hunters that trained him, nothing seem to even compare, nothing else mattered in that very moment but those words spoken by this kindred. He nodded his head to confirm what was said was in fact heard and understood, and than
  42. Azrial was gone, he couldn't quite understand what happened though, he was certain the memory was there as to what had just transpired, but for what ever reason it felt as though it were nothing but an odd dream. Shaking his head he turned and looked back out over the lights of the town and castle and took a deep breath, "I suppose, I spent enough time out here. LEt's get back and see what every one is up to." he spoke to himself before making his way back down the mountain side towards the castle, and the family.
  43.
  44. Azrial Voltarene: Those silver seprent eyes watched as the new toy stood for a moment to collect his thoughts, shake the 'dream' from his mind and spoke of returning, a dark grin dancing across those skeletal lips, "Now we shall see indeed." he almost laughed before slipping into the darkness of the mountain.
