  23.
  24. Hunters Blood: Blood works clearly differently in Bloodborne than it does in most settings. For the sake of simplicity we can assume it is O- due to no one in Bloodborne seeming to have any problems transfusing any source of blood between eachother. However, given the unique properties of blood in Bloodborne, anyone receiving a transfusion of Hunters Blood may have unusual side effects. For the purpose of roleplay, I would say that Hunters Blood counts as 'special blood' in Bloodborne's lore. That meaning, Hunters Blood could be used in 'blood ministration'. If by some means there was a Bloodborne Blood Minister on the server, he could use Markus' blood and, probably his own to ministrate someone's blood, allowing them to have the benefits of bloodvials and other 'blood' related effects from Bloodborne.
  25.
  26. Abilities: (Try to have no more than 4 abilities. Exceptions can be made.)
  27.
  28. Ministered Blood: As one who has received Yharnams special blood, ministered by a Church Blood Minister, Markus is capable of taking on the full benefits of blood transfusions, especially those of the 'special blood' within Bloodvials. In essence, blood transfusions have unique effects upon Markus, even blood transfusions from those without ministered blood. These effects generally revolve around health and healing, however can effect mental states as well, and depend on the source of the blood. For the sake of simplicity, this will be divided into two types of blood, pure blood and corrupted blood. Pure blood is the blood of uncorrupted, normal humans. Anything else, aliens, non-humans, animals, beasts, anything besides an uncorrupted normal human will yield corrupted blood. Pure blood has similar effects to Blood Vials, but is not nearly as effective, and only provides a very small amount of healing, only really capable of stabilizing injuries rather than fully correcting them. Corrupted blood however, has adverse effects if transfused. It will wear on Markus' sanity and push him closer to becoming a beast, as described in the 'beast corruption' section bellow. Any other effects of blood transfusion will require staff approval.
  29.
  30. Strengths:
  31.
  32. Hunter: Markus is a hunter of beasts. On the Night of the Hunt, specially contracted and ordained hunters hunt the beasts of the scourge, and purge Yharnam of their horror. As a seasoned hunter, Markus is an incredibly formidable and skilled combatant, at least in the styles of and with the weapons of the Bloodborne setting. Primarily, he is adept at tracking, hunting, and slaying beasts far larger and more dangerous than himself.
  33.
  34. Weaknesses:
  35.
  36. Dreamless: Markus finds himself unable to reach the Hunters Dream from this place. This prevents him from simply returning to Yharnam, but also deprives him of the utilities of the Hunters Dream entirely. As well, without the Hunters Dream, and without the specially ordained Lamps, Markus' Hunters Blood cannot bring him back from death, as it had before.
  37.
  38. Beast Corruption: Those who hunt beasts, are doomed to become like them. In Yharnam there exists a special sect of hunters, dedicated to hunting those hunters who have turned to beasts themselves, a cruel fate. Slowly over time, Markus will become closer to a beast of the scourge, the same as he had hunted for years. This fate is unavoidable, and no healing or special blood no matter how potent can reverse this inevitable progress, and can only, at best, delay the inevitable. In addition, certain things may speed this path to beasthood. Primarily, being heavily injured and surviving acts as a boost towards beasthood, although transfusions of 'corrupted blood' will also speed Markus towards his inevitable fate. When he does turn, Markus will loose all sense and become a beast starving for blood, a large werewolf esque creature bent on slaughter.
  39.
  40. Fish out of Time: The world of Bloodborne, while advanced in some, unique aspects, is primarily based around the Victorian age. Any technology more advanced than this is alien to Markus, and he will lack the knowledge to use such advanced technologies.
  41.
  42. EQUIPMENT INFORMATION
  43.
  44. Armor:
  45.
  46. Hunters Garb: A long thick coat over the pragmatic wear of a Hunter, Hunters Garb offers no real protection in combat.
  47.
  48. Weapons:
  49.
  50. Saw Cleaver: One of the many trick weapons used by Yharnam Hunters, the Saw Cleaver consists of a double edged blade, heavily serrated on one side, affixed to a pivoting joint at the end of a long handle. When folded in, the saw blade is presented for use in this odd configuration. The saws edge is incredibly sharp, capable of cutting through thick cloth as though it were taught silk, however no ordinary blade no matter how sharp can cut metal. This sharpness, along with the saw teeth, are effective at drawing a targets blood, and making them bleed profusely. With the weapon unfolded, the cleaver blade is exposed for use, and the new configuration allows for greater leverage in hacking and chopping motions. The cleaver, no less sharp than the saw, is intended to use the great weight of the weapon and it's leverage to chop off limbs and hack deep into a foe. The Saw Cleaver has no special properties beyond it's unique construction, and is made of plain steel.
  51.
  52. Hunters Blunderbuss: Fighting a beast of the scourge is often fast, both for the beast and the hunter. Both often dodge and counter dodge to avoid the other, and beasts with their greater speed, can be hard to hit with conventional firearms. Thus, the blunderbuss. Capable of firing a small cloud of projectiles with its one crucial shot, the blunderbuss nearly guarantees at least one hit on a target within range, by the sheer quantity of projectiles it fires. This weapon is, of course, a black powder muzzle loading firearm, and as such must be reloaded with care, and with ample time, taking nearly a minute to load even by a seasoned professional as Markus is. As beasts don't wear armor, and it's the materials of the shot fired that do most of the work, the penetration of the blunderbuss is lacking. At anything past near point blank range, these projectiles would be stopped by even low tier soft body armor.
  53. As well, given the energy of the shot is dispersed between many projectiles instead of just one, it is heavily lacking in range. Not an issue for hunters, whom are always close to the beasts they slay.
  54.
  55. Munitions:
  56.
  57. x10 Quicksilver Bullets: Beasts are not slain like normal men. They must be bled to death, chopped apart, catastrophically damaged, burnt, or killed by the means of quicksilver and hunters blood. Normal munitions fire lead balls too small to effectively injure a beast of the scourge. Thus, hunter weapons are loaded with quicksilver, which is indeed far more effective at killing beasts. These bullets are infused with the blood of the hunter, and become all the more potent for this infusion at slaying beasts. For the purpose of the blunderbuss, each individual 'quicksilver bullet' counts as a fully loaded shotgun shot from the blunderbuss, with multiple smaller projectiles with the same quicksilver properties.
  58.
  59. X10 Powder Charges: Each bullet is paired to a charge of black powder, a pre measured paper cartridge intended for use in the blunderbuss.
  60.
  61. General Equipment:
  62.
  63. x17 Bloodvials: Specially ministered blood, each transfusion of this blood recalls the first transfusion the user received, and is invigorated to produce these healing properties. This transfusion of pure, special blood is capable of healing Markus from most conventional wounds, regenerating the flesh, staunching bleeding, and pushing out foreign material. Individually, Bloodvials can heal most moderate injuries, however if several are used together, they can heal far greater wounds within minutes. These blood vials are absolutely irreplaceable, as there is certainly no Blood Minister to minister any special blood into the form used in bloodvials. They as well only work on those who have received a Yharnam Blood Ministration as Markus has, given that these blood vials 'recall' that first transfusion, rather than acting as a blood ministration themselves.
