  1. Kaon - Last Sunday at 4:58 PM
  2. Hello
  3. Seki here..
  4. was browsing discord and found this post from you from few months ago saying
  5. "seki bitched about the economy,, but never really explained the problem with it"
  6. i will give you example.. when i play FO2, every item i loot, every material, everything has its own price
  7. Kaon - Last Sunday at 5:00 PM
  8. i know that super stimpak has market price of 70 caps or that metal part has market price ~100 caps for example
  9. on reloaded when i loot items, i dont really have the feel of them having any price for me, either they have use for me or i throw them away
  10. mostly because there is no good way of trading stuff
  11. FO2 has a well balanced loot and many ways to trade(edited)
  12. mostly auction house and shopkeepers which allow you to easily sell or buy items
  13. while on reloaded there is no way i can trade other than forum(edited)
  14. and forum trading is worst trading ever because its indirect form of communication, sometime it takes days to setup a trade and by that time you might as well get what you wanted to buy by yourself(edited)
  15. another thing is caps income and outcome
  16. by adding all these new features, farm, quests and so on you drastically increased caps income into the game while outcome of caps on reloaded was and still is very minimal which is decreasing value of caps as season goes, thats why later in season 1 and season 2 people used to trade much more with items rather than caps compared to beginning of season(edited)
  17. there are some caps outcomes like basic things.. professions, buying vehicle and so on.. but all those things are only one time things and once you do them, there is no use for your caps anymore, they have no value
  18. FO2 auction and shopkeeprs have a tax which makes constant caps outcome from the game, keeping healthy amount of caps in the game, you can literally buy any item in the game for caps, if value of caps drops and prices get higher then tax will scale with them and prices will go down again and ofc other way around too(edited)
  19. then to have a working economy you need a proper item income and outcome as well
  20. usually way it worked was you gained some gear by playing the game and you lost some gear by either dying or by that gear getting destroyed by deterioration eventually
  21. since this season dying is no longer loss of stuff, i expected higher deterioration when dying, even spoke with kilgore about it but deterioration stayed same so you can just die and come back in same stuff like 20 times if you repair it with super tool kit, if not more often, you are almost never going to lose your items and you will only hoard more and more and those items will eventually lose value completely since game will be flooded by them(edited)
  22. but to have a working economy you first need to have a player base which is lost.. well probably forever :(
  23. but what i mostly meant back then by saying that economy is broken is that khans found some way to make millions of caps daily by farm, meng says about it in his rant video, i hope you watched it.. and once you know that someone has (almost) infinite source of caps while you had to work hard to get your little bit then the game is just not fun anymore..(edited)
  24. i am not exactly sure what was going on there, i personally didnt play season long enough to get farm but i heard a lot
  25. dont get me wrong i appreciate your work but these changes are simply not my cup of tea and i think i explained really well why in my forum post in that rant topic(edited)
  26. and if you wonder what i do these days then i mostly play path of exile and diablo 3, i think my era of fonline is over, i got really burnt of it after years
  27. also by farm not fitting into mmorpg i meant.. well.. look at it this way
  28. farm gives you no profit when you buy it but as you work on it, you get more and more reward ($ per crop) for always same amount of resources (1 day on farm), its basically same as taxes in banks back in 1st season which were removed.. it makes rich players even more rich and poor players stay poor
  29. farm is super hard to balance because you need to cap this scaling of $ / day at some point
  30. problem is to find a middle ground, either its at point where its not worth to do at all or if its worth it then there is high chance that it ends up at point where people just login into game, pass the day on the farm, get full amount of $ for almost nothing and logout again..
  31. farm took a lot of effort and its really cool that players can play this as their minigame and stuff but i am not really sure in what way it would be the best(edited)
