you: Hi, I was looking through the weapons that can be unlocked in Battlefield 3 and I saw the 3 Veteran status weapons you can get but I don't have them even though I own both Battlefield 3 Premium Edition and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 so I would like to know what I need to do to get these weapons?

Shwetank: I'd like to tell you that the veteran status is calculated by taking the total number of Battlefield games played and subtracting 1 (i.e. if you played Bad Company2 and Battlefield 3 your veteran status would be 2-1=1, if you have only played Battlefield 3 it is 1-1=0 or no veteran status) because you are only a Battlefield game veteran after playing more than one game - veteran status is not dependent on rank in Battlefield 3, only the number of Battlefield games that you've played in the Battlefield series.
you: Ok I remember reading about that somewhere but I have played both Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 for quite a bit (69 hours on Battlefield 3 and 81 hours on Bad Company 2 on Steam) but the veteran status is not appearing on my battlelog profile. I do see my Veteran status as being 1 when I'm in Bad Company 2.
Shwetank: Ernest, you dont have to worry about it, once you get in the criteria of veteran staus, it'll be available to you automatically. Its a computerized process and there cannot be any error to it.
