PERSONALITY;
Hyunmi, known to her friends as Hyun, is your typical class clown. She's always making jokes and pulling pranks on anyone. Everyone knows her name, usually because she's pulled a prank on them - and she often find herself with a lot of enemies. Even though she is really playful, Hyun often finds herself exhausted and stressed because she tries so hard to make people laugh. Being the joker can be one of her biggest burdens.

Hyun is terrible at hiding her emotions, however she often finds that when she's sad, she laughs about it like it doesn't matter. This is her way of handling things and she can often appear quite careless and rude, but she's not. She doesn't really like being the centre of attention, but often gets all the wrong attention due to her pranks - making her quite annoying. People often misjudge her as "funny but annoying" when in fact she looks out for her friends and is really caring toward them.

Not only is Hyunmi "annoying" but she's also forgetful and clumsy, which gave the sorting hat a good reason to sort her into Hufflepuff. Staying loyal to her friends is always her main priority, and she tries her best to help them figure out what they need to do. Hyun isn't the smartest out of the girls - far from it - but she's smart enough to know who to trust and who not to trust. She's also quite curious and adventurous, which doesn't mix well with her loudness.

BACKGROUND:
Hyunmi was born in Jeju and she has lived there most of her life with her muggle parents. She had never heard of anything like a witch/wizard until she received a letter in the post. As she is an only child, she has had no siblings who went to Hogwarts and has never experienced anything in the wizarding world. She basically lived a very simple life in the Jeju. However, she had experienced quite a few of her older friends leave to go to a school outside of Jeju, but she had always presumed that they were going to mainland Korea, Japan or America to further their education - she had never thought of something so surreal.

The letter included some wizarding money that she needed to use in Diagon Alley to get her supplies. She had hidden the letter from both her parents, knowing that if they saw it they would react badly and stop her from going. However, Hyun had heard rumours in school about a place called “Hogwarts” so she decided that she would get a taxi and travel there herself. Before leaving, she photo copied the letter and left it for her parents with a note that read: “I’ll see you soon. Don’t worry about me, I’ll send you letters when I get there. I love you - Hyun.”

She managed to follow a family around Diagon Alley and she got everything she needed there. Turns out that it was Mark's family she was following around and he already noticed her but didn’t want to say anything because he realised that she just didn’t know what to do. She could only just about pay for everything that she needed. When she got in the train she sat with ACCIO, ALOHOMORA & VULNERA SANENTUR and that’s how she met them. They taught her everything she needed to know about Hogwarts as they were coming back.

- he calls her hyun or mellow yellow because she's a hufflepuff.
- they often go adventuring, and if neither can be found you can be certain they're off adventuring.

- similar to the Weasley twins they care a lot about each other and it's unusual to see them apart
- they stick up for each other because they're the youngest
- he surprises the whole group by how knowledgeable he is. it seems like he doesn't listen in lessons but in fact, he takes it all in and remembers it well
- he was sorted into gryffindor because he is courageous and chivalrous
- always looking for his scarf because Hyunmi steals it because she likes his scarf colours better
- he's quite compassionate and protective, but he doesn't like to show it - so instead he is acts jokey and playful

INTERACTIONS WITH HIM:
- he helps her pull of a prank in charms and that's how they meet. soon after they can be found walking around the corridors constantly talking and exploring all the forbidden rooms in the school
- neither of them like the idea of a romance so they try not to get caught in any sort of skin-ship or anything that could infer to others that they are in a relationship. eventually at the very end of the book they hold hands while stood in the group - showing to everyone that they are dating
- they get separated in the maze or something and they find that they can't work as well on their own so they get quite traumatised trying to find each other
- when they smuggled cake out of the kitchen and ate it on Hyunmi's bed and he had to climb out of the window to hide from the other girls in her dorm. she had to tell them that there was a hot centaur that broke into the main hall and they all followed her. while she distracted them he left the room and took the rest of the cake with him.
- when they use Hyun's book to work something out and he won't stop talking about how weird it is that she has a book about it. he annoys her so much she starts beating him up with the book and all the older ones just watch like it's a movie

- Hyunmi blowing up an experiment in Transfiguration and it catches on the the end of her hair but she puts it out quickly. her hair is singed so later that day she cuts burnt part off. that's why the front of her hair is shorter than the rest
