To step aside a moment, the game system for FFG's thing actually themes all the career spec stuff differently - the Sentinel ones focus a lot on giving you new abilities and "strain" upgrades which is like...not really stamina per se but more like focus and mental power to force yourself to keep going and doing crazy shit. But not much in the way of actual stamina upgrades. x3

I can throw you some Questionably Legal ones tho lol.

Force is basically something you either start with by starting with a career from Force and Destiny (three game lines, same system, all mixable), or by taking a universal or other specialization that grants a Force Rating talent. To use force powers you have to buy the basic entry level version of said power, and you roll your shiny new Force die to activate it and hope you don't have to call on the dark side!

They balanced the Jedi and force users by spreading their powerful abilities out across different bits and specs and such so you can't just be a juggernaut, and it keeps you from stacking talents and skill ranks as high as other characters do.

Yep yep. Non-force-users spend their XP only in talents and skills so the addition of force powers can really slow Jedi characters' advancement down, but you get those unique abilities in recompense. There are also whole specializations necessary to make lightsabering a class skill and get the unique talents to do the deflection crazy stuff, to further defray the possibility of Mace Windu-ing your PC. x3

The game is designed to foster options and customization in each career and even each spec so it's like...each career has three specializations in their core books and more in the splats, and each spec has 300 XP worth of STUFF you can buy in it, to say nothing of buying skill ranks, force powers, or opening up new specs to buy their talents.
