  1. Searching through a website called Kickstarter.
  2. A bunch of people submit projects to be funded if enough people are interested and choose to endorse them.
  3. One project that caught my attention was created by a company named Mobile Pixels.
  4.
  5.
  6. The prototype they had released a video on was called the DUO.
  7. It is a second monitor for your laptop, desktop, or tablet.
  8. What is special about this monitor is, It's durable, lightweight (1.5 pounds), and has a high resolution (1080p).
  9. The amount of mobility and compatability it has to offer is amazing.
  10. And it allows you an overall boost of productivity by at least fifty percent.
  11.
  12. Toggling between tabs windows and applications on average, can make a user lose around 10 seconds every five minutes.
  13. That may not seem like much, but after an average workday, that adds up to a huge loss in productivity.
  14.
  15. The second monitor is compatible with any Operating system, from Mac to Windows, and Linux to Android.
  16.
  17. But the best thing about this secondary screen is how easy it is to set up.
  18. You simply place the magnetic adhesive on the back of your computer or tablet, and place the screen on it.
  19. Once you do that, all you do is plug in the USB cable provided with the monitor and that's it. For MAC users,
  20. the stock cable will do you just fine. For Windows users, they have added a USB-C to Type A adapter.
  21. Just slide the Duo Screen out and get to work. It's able to slide out in either direction, right or left.
  22. The Duo also offers a full 270 degree rotation, with an option of a 1809 degree presentation mode.
  23. This allows you to adjust the viewing angle for any situation.
  24.
  25. It acts as a secondary monitor in order to expand the amount of tasks you have available.
  26.
  27. I find this extremely helpful with the use of DAW's like Protools where you have a main window, and a mixing window.
  28. You could just slide the DUO screen out, and move the mixing window to the secondary screen to save you time from
  29. switching back in forth as you would with just one monitor.
