  1. Character generation:
  2.
  3. Each player writes two character summaries, without consulting other players. At least one character must be some type of barbarian, and both must be consistent with the conventions of generic low fantasy.
  4. A summary contains the following blocks, none of which should be more than a few lines:
  5. - Name
  6. - Race and background
  7. - Approach to problem solving
  8. - Clothing and/or armor
  9. - Weapons and/or magical implements
  10. - Other equipment
  11.
  12. Players are then randomly assigned a draft order (or one is randomly chosen to go first and construction proceeds clockwise, if that's easier).
  13. Construction goes around the table six times. On a draft turn, a player chooses one block, with the following restrictions:
  14. - you can't choose a block you wrote yourself
  15. - you must select one each of the six categories, not multiples of the same category
  16. - until you've already selected one block from every player besides yourself, you can't select multiple blocks from the player.
  17.
  18. Players are then free to embellish details, but not to contradict any of their drafted selections.
