  1. I've got a lot of thoughts on this. There's no reason that we *must* be the player/controller. The player can exist in-universe. I think the whole system is controlled by the blob, and the wires from the secret ending are connected to a helmet ultimate linked to the blob, and the reason is so that the radius of its mind control can be spread further. The secret devices are spread out every so often, so it seems that their signal is helping to boost the mind control radius. I imagine its outer limits are a bit outside where we start the game.
  2.
  3. Who created the bunker in the cornfield? Did they want to help the blob or contain it? If we are "the player", the bunker would've been created for us. It seems likely that the scientists created the bunker. Why would the scientists let random people from another world control things?
  4.
  5. Why were the scientists running to look at the blob at the end of the game?
  6.
  7. Why does the boy start the game where he does? Did he fall out of a truck, and the blob used him as a side project to escape while making all the other people behave normally, to not arouse suspicion?
  8.
  9. Where do these people being controlled come from? Why did the blob choose a kid, rather than any of the others being mind controlled? Or do the scientists (usually) only take adults and throw out kids, and thus the only one not being monitored was a kid? Why does the kid react to things and show heightened mental perception compared to the others being controlled? All of the mind-controlled are heavily contained so that the blob can't use them to set itself free, so the blob would need someone outside of the system (which is why there's so much security in places you wouldn't expect.
  10.
  11. Why is the last secret gigantic compared to the rest? It's also closest to the blob. One of the biggest points of contention for me is...can someone mind-controlling another see through their eyes, or not? If not, the blob would need some way to see, and it doesn't even have eyes to begin with. Perhaps the wires in the secret ending also allow the blob to interface into electronics and cameras (as far as we know, mind-controlling can only interface with living things).
