  1. Weiss wondered why she was still alive. Why, through pure chance, she was the one victim that survived. They told her that the burn ward hadn't been used for years, that all of Banesaw's victims were killed right after their torture. She was a special case, apparently. Weiss didn't feel very special.

  3. It turns out that, despite his good intentions, Banesaw actually had no idea what he was doing with the medicine, and in actuality he had made her injuries worse. Normally, the Fang wouldn't have cared, but she was valuable, now, too. Her dad said that the better condition she was in the more he would pay for her ransom. Then the Fang cared. They cared a whole lot. She was immediately put into burn care and her food was upgraded from grass to some sort of kibble. Weiss could've sworn she'd seen Ruby's dog eat it before. They assigned her two little Faunus women to care for her every need.

  5. Banesaw spent the entire time with her, even if he couldn't really do much. He watched. She wondered if he still hated her, still despised her. She knew the answer was probably yes. Weiss was entirely aware of what her family had done to him. Even she knew of the child that broke out of Schnee custody by crushing three men to death with his bare hands.
  6.
  7. She knew that her family killed his sister in front of him. And she knows the only reason that he didn't kill her and disregard Adam was because somehow, Weiss's reminded him of his sibling. She mused about which was worse. What her family did to him or what he had done to her.

  9. The only time that Banesaw left was went they put the ointments on her, when it brought all the pain back. He couldn't hear her screams, her sounds of suffering. He tried to tough it out at the start, but eventually he couldn't do it anymore. Once, Weiss could had sworn she had heard gruff, sad crying. She couldn't have been certain, though.
  10.
  11. They didn't talk much, or at all. There was nothing to talk about. Sometimes it was nice, that way. She never had quietness back at Beacon. Here, she had all the quiet in the world. Except for her screaming, of course. But even with the quiet, her and Banesaw bonded, silently. Hate still existed, but there was grudging respect, too. Weiss didn't really understand their relationship, but she didn't really need to understand it.
  12.
  13. When Weiss left, it was almost bittersweet. Almost.
