  1. [11:46:30] <Kain> We pick up from last time in the snowy outskirts of Esto Gaza. The small locale is not much of a true town, but rather a single chapel built for the faithful of the Shimmering Isle, with a path leading to the now dormant Mt. Gulug. A large campsite seems to have formed around the chapel however, as more and more scholars have shown up in an attempt to delve into the mysterious culture deep
  2. [11:46:30] <Kain> within the extinct volcano. According to your sources (Lulu and Lolo) so far expeditions have been rather unsuccessful thanks to a plethora of monsters that attack anyone who goes too deep.
  3. [11:50:53] <Kain> Last time, the duo of the lurid librarian and the legedermain lover listened to the lightning 'lon.
  4. [11:50:54] * Amaryllis works at a cup of thick, creamy chowder she's prepared over a fire of her own, as she searches around for Lenore. (eating my earth-strike food)
  5. [11:51:26] <Amaryllis> (>lurid)
  6. [11:51:27] <Amaryllis> (;_;)
  7. [11:51:33] * Lenore makes sure her winter coat and stockings are alll properly fitted~, then crawls out from a tent or whatever to meet Ammy. "Ready to go~?"
  8. [11:51:42] <Kain> (well I was just thinking about how to describe a dark knight :3c)
  9. [11:52:51] * Amaryllis nods and downs the rest of the hot soup, sighing with a breath of misty air.
  10. [11:53:19] <Amaryllis> "Have you eaten? If Lolo and Lulu are to be believed, we shall we need our full strength in the volcano."
  11. [11:53:36] <Kain> Luckily, it seems the weather isn't TOO bad right now. No snowfall at the moment, anyway. But it's probably warmer inside.
  12. [11:54:39] <Lenore> "How tough do you think it's gonna' be in there? Do you think there will be swarms of monsters that'll be harrying us at every step?" S m i l e s. And then her stomach growls. "Er, no. Whatcha' got here~?" She sits down and starts devouring part of the chowder~
  13. [11:57:05] <Amaryllis> "Clam chowder. A warm and thick soup suitable for winter. I know not what monsters we may face in the mountain, but it is not uncommon for cave dwelling creatures to try to use the very earth against intruders. They have the advantage of living here and knowing the place after all."
  14. [11:57:35] * Amaryllis stands up and grabs her bag, breathing into her hands to warm them as she waits for Lenore to finish.
  15. [12:03:20] <Lenore> Nomf, nomf, nomf. It's good! But she's still hungry. Stupid hand. "All right, I'm good to go!"
  16. [12:05:53] * Lenore also, while we're at it, swaps from Bug-zapper to Earth Crystal.
  17. [12:06:42] * Amaryllis collects their bowls and sets them aside for the moment. They'll have to return to camp sometime anyway, and the cleaning can happen then. "Onwards, then." Ammy tugs on her scarf to make sure the ends are even, then pulls her coat in closer and starts shuffling toward the mountain.
  18. [12:09:28] <Kain> The two of you ascend from the snow onto the painstakingly cleaned steps leading up to the chapel. The architecture here shows some Alexandrian history with many, many pillars standing around the front and holding up the large, domed roofs. There is a bright, burning fire coming from a structure on top of the chapel proper, a beacon for those lost in the cold. And also a few windmills perched
  19. [12:09:28] <Kain> around, their purpose unknown, but their placement was long before any Nezumi visited.
  20. [12:10:20] <Amaryllis> Can I lore: history for Ammy to prattle on about stories of this place as we walk?
  21. [12:10:29] <Kain> Roll it~
  22. [12:10:42] <Kain> The glow of candlelight brightens the entrance, a thick warmth embracing you as you approach the doorless entryway.
  23. [12:10:44] <Amaryllis> 2d6+3
  24. [12:10:45] <DiceMaid-9001> Amaryllis, 2d6+3: 9 [2d6=3,3]
  25. [12:14:08] <Kain> An utterly average roll, you know what Ramuh mentioned to you about this being a religious site for a major faith. A faith that's waned heavily in recent years, even before the disappearance of the shimmering island.. The stories of this locale usually involve the island itself and the "Pathway of Souls", with the mystique and legend that surrounded that. You also remember what was written
  26. [12:14:08] <Kain> in the book on the events ten years prior. This place used to be much larger, but you don't know the details.
  27. [12:16:03] <Kain> Hundreds of candles litter the inside, perched upon grooves in the architecture of the holy place, and on sort of a shrine in the midst of the main room that also serves as the source of the fire on the chapel's roof.
  28. [12:16:40] <Kain> Once, pilgrims lined these halls, praying. But now, the floor is littered with the sleeping and the injured, on bedrolls.
  29. [12:16:42] * Amaryllis prattles on then, about the Pathway of Souls and the faith that centered around the Shimmering Island, as she and Lenore walk up to the entrance, but once she steps in she quickly wraps up the story and looks around in an almost reverent silence.
  30. [12:16:55] <Kain> A few white mages dot around, busily, healing the sick and wounded.
  31. [12:17:08] * Lenore grimaces as they pass by the injured. It's too bad she doesn't know anything useful for helping them. ;_;
  32. [12:18:00] <Kain> There are a few different halls one can take from here - there seems to be a more residential space containing beds and whatnot to the left, but presumably it's all occupied.
  33. [12:18:14] <Amaryllis> Not keen on interrupting White Mages performing an important duty, Ammy motions to Lenore to wait a second and shuffles off to kneel at the side of a relatively more well off looking patient.
  34. [12:19:21] <Kain> To the right is an area that's a sort of cafeteria and gift shop, and onward is an exit leading to the frosty back terrace.
  35. [12:19:41] <Kain> You crouch by a wooly-looking dogman bundled in robes, with a blanket over him. He looks blearily up at you.
  36. [12:19:48] <Kain> "Y-yes?"
  37. [12:20:41] <Amaryllis> "Pardon me good sir, but why are there so many wounded here?" She glances down at him and also takes a quick look around, to see if the nature of the injuries is clear. Stab wound? Laceration? Burn?
  38. [12:20:51] <Amaryllis> "Are the monsters down below truly so horrifying?"
  39. [12:23:07] <Kain> He seems to be suffering from burns, but some of his fur is also brittle and frozen. He grimaces. "The ones near the entranceway, not so much... still a handful for any of us to handle in a group, but not much to seasoned adventurers... the dragons... run if you see one. They're fond of ambushes... The creatures get stronger the deeper you go."
  40. [12:23:58] <Amaryllis> "Dragons? Of what nature?" Ammy glances down at the man. "Ice? Or perhaps fire?"
  41. [12:24:14] <Lenore> "More dragons? Huh..."
  42. [12:24:58] <Kain> "Red dragons... red-scaled beasts with feathered wings. Be careful."
  43. [12:26:27] <Lenore> "Thanks for the warning!" Blinkblink, she rummages through her scrunchie a bit and pulls out a Hi-Potion. "I don't have enough of these to go around, unfortunately, but this should make you feel a bit better!" She hands it to dogman
  44. [12:26:31] <Amaryllis> "And those are the most dangerous of the beasts known here?"
  45. [12:27:06] <Kain> He nods.
  46. [12:27:26] <Kain> "Oh? Thank you, miss...?" he takes the potion, chugging it gratefully.
  47. [12:28:08] <Lenore> "Lenore Denagere~! After I'm done checking out Mt. Gulug I might see about making more of these for the others."
  48. [12:28:25] <Kain> "Someone on my team said they saw something near the bottom of the well, but we had to retreat before we could investigate it..."
  49. [12:28:32] <Lenore> (brb real quick)
  50. [12:28:50] * Amaryllis carefully waves a hand, shimmering with heat, over the man's fur, trying not to aggravate his burns while also defrosting him.
  51. [12:30:08] <Amaryllis> "At the bottom of the well. I see. Thank you, and I hope you recover swiftly. The name is Amaryllis Middleton, by the way." Ammy stands back up and looks ready to proceed into the depths~
  52. [12:31:02] <Kain> He nods. "Alaster Cromwell." he says, groaning a bit and laying back down.
  53. [12:32:05] <Amaryllis> "Cromwell? That is a good name." Ammy turns to Lenore with a nod, and then starts shuffling off again.
  54. [12:32:34] <Kain> A dogman probably isn't related to Noah, but hey, it's not that uncommon of a name.
  55. [12:33:30] <Kain> Which way? The back terrace is the way to Mt. Gulug, and there's also some shops if you need to stock up on consumable items.
  56. [12:33:51] <Lenore> (back)
  57. [12:35:28] <Amaryllis> Ammy will actually pick up eyedrops and two antidotes from the shop then, before we proceed to the back terrace.
  58. [12:35:42] <Amaryllis> They're handed off to Mr. Prickles for safe-keeping because FFd6 has a dumb inventory system. :D
  59. [12:36:20] <Kain> Prickles hangs limply from Lenore's clothing, acting as your personal bag of holding~
  60. [12:36:37] <Lenore> ~~~
  61. [12:36:45] * Lenore carries Prickles everywhere~
  62. [12:36:58] <Kain> Prickles: "I say, isn't Mt. Gulug a volcano?" he asks, a bit nervous. "I don't want to catch fire."
  63. [12:37:20] <Lenore> When she was a little girl, she always wished to carry people around like they were nothing~
  64. [12:37:29] <Amaryllis> "Long dormant. Long enough for an entire civilization to rise and fall within its tunnels and caves."
  65. [12:37:34] <Lenore> Grow up BIG AND STRONK
  66. [12:38:10] <Kain> You proceed out back, following a slippery outdoor path along the back terrace. A female moogle wearing a pink shirt writes in a little pink journal, and up a set of stairs you can see the entrance into the mountain - a door of Terran design, now permanently open.
  67. [12:38:21] <Lenore> "Yeah, the volcano isn't what you should worry about, it's the monsters IN the volcano!"
  68. [12:38:38] <Kain> Prickles: "I hope they're not TOO terrible..."
  69. [12:39:20] * Amaryllis does a quick check that her still-unnamed Tantarian is safe away in its book, and the chocochick is snuggled safely in the scarf as well before proceeding. "Ah, greetings!" Ammy waves to the Moogle.
  70. [12:40:13] <Lenore> "Oh, hi Miss Moogle~!"
  71. [12:40:18] <Amaryllis> "You can always count on finding a Moogle about, no matter how treacherous the environment, it seems."
  72. [12:40:28] <Kain> The moogle waves as you approach, half-heartedly. She looks up with her squinty eyes. "Hi. Try not to get too hurt in there, k?"
  73. [12:40:57] <Amaryllis> "We shall try, of course. Is something the matter?"
  74. [12:40:57] <Lenore> "We'll do our best!"
  75. [12:42:09] <Kain> She sighs a bit. "I used to be known all over the world as the most beautiful Moogle.. now people just come and go into the mountain. No one comes to see Mogrika anymore..."
  76. [12:42:41] <Lenore> "Awwwwwww." She frowns. "I think you're pretty!"
  77. [12:43:04] <Kain> Mogrika hops up. "You don't think I've gotten too old? Like a new year's cake?"
  78. [12:43:12] * Amaryllis is scribbling away in the Moogle Manifest again.
  79. [12:43:54] <Kain> Mogrika: "The really handsome Mogward came by recently, but he didn't even give me the time of day... kupoo..."
  80. [12:44:21] <Lenore> "Well, I guess I'm not that good of a judge of how old moogles are...although Stiltzken was apparently old, and I could kind of tell...not with you, though!"
  81. [12:44:25] <Kain> Mogrika: "You probably just want to go on and not hear about my problems, though..."
  82. [12:44:46] <Kain> Mogrika: "I-I'm not THAT old..."
  83. [12:45:26] <Kain> Mogrika: "Just... not the young and beautiful I used to be." she pouts.
  84. [12:46:24] <Amaryllis> "I am sure you are not. I doubt we shall deign to spend the night down in the mountain, so why not stop by our camp when we return? A good story is best enjoyed over a warm fire with hearty food, is it not?"
  85. [12:46:27] <Amaryllis> *not that old
  86. [12:46:39] <Kain> Mogrika: "Well, if... if you don't mind."
  87. [12:47:27] <Kain> She waves to you as you go.
  88. [12:48:00] * Lenore waves back before going deep into Mt. Doom to destroy the ring
  89. [12:50:52] <castfromhp> Into the mountain then
  90. [12:52:21] <Kain> The two of you actually enter the mountain, then! It's actually REALLY warm in here for an extinct volcano. A climb back down a set of stairs leads you into an enormous cavern. There are numerous structures littered around the cavern, on the walls, on the floors far far below, even hanging from the ceiling. The buildings are made of dilapidated wood, which has broken in some places but isn't
  91. [12:52:21] <Kain> rotting for some reason, and these structures seamlessly integrate into the rock walls. You see rails on the ground for minecarts in places, that haven't been used in hundreds of years. And-holy shit there's a lot going on around here. You see quite a few bookish looking people scattered around in different places, studying the buildings, trying to fight or run from monsters...
  92. [12:53:49] <Kain>
  93. [12:54:20] <Lenore> "Should we help some of them, Ammy?"
  94. [12:54:21] * Amaryllis is quiet and focused as she enters, silently removing her cloak and draping it over her arm as she pulls out her lantern and lights it with a thought.
  95. [12:54:29] <Kain> The city seemed multi-tiered, with unstable pathways and ropes dangling from ancient pulleys. Some people seem to have brought in ladders, placed here and about.
  96. [12:54:38] <Kain> It doesn't look like anyone has made it TOO deep in, though.
  97. [12:54:57] <Kain> The lower tiers of the place seem completely deserted apart from the monsters skulking in the shadows.
  98. [12:55:27] <Amaryllis> Do any of the scholars running around seem to be in any sort of mortal peril from the monsters?
  99. [12:55:36] <Amaryllis> Or does it seem to be rather routine pest control here at this level?
  100. [12:56:14] <Kain> Those absconding seem to be doing so rather well, others are struggling but not in any real danger. It's definitely more pest control up here.
  101. [12:57:03] * Amaryllis takes a quick glance around, then quietly says. "If there is anyone who may be in need of our help, they would likely be at a lower level than this."
  102. [12:57:16] <Kain> Seem to be a lot of 'residential' type structures around here, too. There's a larger building further down that looks like it could have been an inn, tavern, or some similarly sized place.
  103. [12:58:49] <Kain> The monsters in question seem to be phantom-like creatures carrying red and blue lanterns, bombs encased in helmets that cover their entire bodies, and little red rotund birds.
  104. [12:59:06] <Lenore> "Well, all right then! Let's move down, then!"
  105. [13:00:02] <Amaryllis> The way Ammy moves through this place is, at the same time, much like a museum goer walking through a gallery while also like someone walking through a familiar town. She seems at once eager to look in everything but also regards the place with a respectful distance.
  106. [13:00:22] <Amaryllis> "Let's." Ammy searches for the nearest pathway down that doesn't seem like certain death.
  107. [13:01:11] <Kain> You have a few different ways you could go. There are some ropes dangling far to your left that look like they go all the way down, but also potentially dangerous. It leads to a stone well near the bottom of the cavern. The larger structure can be reached easily enough by climbing down a few ladders if you want. Or you could try navigating the rock ledges to your right and slowly make your
  108. [13:01:12] <Kain> way over to a section of what appear to be mines.
  109. [13:01:57] <Amaryllis> "There is the well that was spoken of." Ammy points.
  110. [13:02:51] <Lenore> "Hmmmm...I think we should go down the ladders, myself! We shouldn't go straight to the well, we'd be pretty vulnerable on the ropes!"
  111. [13:04:10] <Amaryllis> "What is a story without some risk?"
  112. [13:04:27] * Amaryllis whispers the incantation for twilight as she grabs one of the ropes, testing it.
  113. [13:05:38] <Kain> The pulley they're attached to is solidly bolted into the rock ceiling, but made of rusted metal. The rope itself seems fine though it's endured years and years of whatever apparent aging the wood houses went through without rotting apart.
  114. [13:06:02] <Kain> It COULD give if it was fucked with too much, but if you just shimmy down...
  115. [13:06:04] <Lenore> "Well, if you're sure about this..." She goes down with Ammy.
  116. [13:06:50] <Amaryllis> Satisfied enough, Ammy starts to shimmy down the ropes, choosing one that's more in the shadows and further concealing it with her magic.
  117. [13:07:53] <Kain> It quickly becomes difficult to see with the magical darkness pulling around you. Lenore ALMOST doesn't make it to the ropes and gets close to the edge. ...Whoa, that's a long way down.
  118. [13:08:27] <Lenore> "Eeeeee..." She keeps carefully going down.
  119. [13:08:52] <Amaryllis> The lantern gets hooked on Ammy's belt for now, the flame put out.
  120. [13:09:47] <~Kain> It turns out, though, that sometimes a conspicuous moving cloud of darkness attracts more attention than not, and in the midst of climbing down, two of the lantern wraiths and an armored bomb begin to float towards the ropes to investigate!
  121. [13:10:41] <Amaryllis> (oh I was going for choosing ropes in the shadows and just extending the whole area of shadow, not...making a moving cloud of darkness. That's kind of dumb to do)
  122. [13:11:37] <Amaryllis> (Twilight's description makes it seem more like a large area instead of a small localized effect, so Ammy wouldn't do that if the effect were just a moving blob of black)
  123. [13:11:39] <~Kain> Well, both of you roll Stealth then.
  124. [13:11:55] <Amaryllis> 2d6+4
  125. [13:11:56] <DiceMaid-9001> Amaryllis, 2d6+4: 8 [2d6=1,3]
  126. [13:12:04] <Lenore> 2d6
  127. [13:12:05] <DiceMaid-9001> Lenore, 2d6: 9 [2d6=4,5]
  128. [13:12:50] <~Kain> Sadly, not good enough on Ammy's part. Her lack of dexterity shows as she climbs down, and despite the shadows, the monster seem to notice a commotion.
  129. [13:12:57] <Amaryllis> 1d6 destiny?
  130. [13:12:59] <DiceMaid-9001> Amaryllis, destiny?: 2 [1d6=2]
  131. [13:13:14] <~Kain> why would you spend destiny on this
  132. [13:13:20] <~Kain> Well, okay.
  133. [13:14:43] <~Kain> The monsters DO come over to investigate, but Ammy freezes in place in the darkness, and they float around, looking for the two of you. After a moment though, they float away to harass another group further up.
  134. [13:14:44] <Amaryllis> (do you want me not to spend it then?)
  135. [13:15:32] <~Kain> (No, you already did)
  136. [13:16:12] <~Kain> In any case... make some Athletics checks for me as you descend the dangerous ropes.
  137. [13:16:25] <Amaryllis> (okay, you just sound like you're disappointed you didn't get to do something cool)
  138. [13:16:29] <Amaryllis> 2d6 athletics
  139. [13:16:29] <DiceMaid-9001> Amaryllis, athletics: 7 [2d6=2,5]
  140. [13:17:00] <~Kain> (I kinda am :V How often do you get to have battles while hanging for dear life on a rope? Oh well, though)
  141. [13:17:12] <Lenore> 2d6
  142. [13:17:13] <DiceMaid-9001> Lenore, 2d6: 6 [2d6=2,4]
  143. [13:17:21] <~Kain> Jjjjuuust enough.
  144. [13:18:40] <~Kain> The two of you shimmy down slowly, taking your time. A multi-headed reptillian creature notices you on the way down, each of its heads possessing an all-devouring maw instead of a face, but it simply watches you as you go down.
  145. [13:20:20] <~Kain> The two of you manage to get down to the well, and the rope seems to descend further down. The bottom seems to be bone-dry, and a broken wall hints at the presence of a larger cavern.
  146. [13:20:54] <~Kain> A shadow quickly passes overhead with a rush of wind, but you see nothing more.
  147. [13:21:35] * Amaryllis hops down the last bit of the rope with a relieved sigh, then shuffles over to the well, lighting her lantern once more with a small, faint glow, just enough to see by. She turns at the shadow passing overhead and freezes.
  148. [13:21:49] <~Kain> ...
  149. [13:22:01] <~Kain> Roll awareness, Ammy.
  150. [13:22:05] <Amaryllis> 2d6+3
  151. [13:22:05] <DiceMaid-9001> Amaryllis, 2d6+3: 11 [2d6=2,6]
  152. [13:22:11] * Lenore also freezes, breathing lightly so as not to be noticed.
  153. [13:22:17] <~Kain> You see a single white feather float down from above.
  154. [13:23:00] <Amaryllis> Is it landing close by at all?
  155. [13:23:49] <~Kain> It lands at the bottom of the well, where the two of you are.
  156. [13:23:57] <~Kain> But the figure it belonged to remains unseen.
  157. [13:24:15] <~Kain> The feather lands, rather.
  158. [13:24:24] * Amaryllis picks it up. "It probably does not belong to the dragons we heard of, at least."
  159. [13:25:19] <Lenore> "Probably! Let's be careful anyway!" She does look up to see a source for the feather, before she heads for the well.
  160. [13:25:34] <~Kain> It's a rather big feather, about a foot long.
  161. [13:26:09] <~Kain> The area beyond the broken wall down here seems to change completely in structure. There are still traces of wooden buildings, but also carved stone architecture.
  162. [13:26:11] * Amaryllis nods and holds up a lantern to illuminate the broken wall.
  163. [13:26:22] <Amaryllis> Do we have any idea what this feather could belong to?
  164. [13:26:36] <~Kain> The dragons were said to be feathered, but other than that...
  165. [13:27:42] <~Kain> The composition of the stone completely changes beyond the broken wall - a completely different rock from the rest of the mountain, even. Darker, smoother.
  166. [13:29:31] * Amaryllis runs her hand along the stone as she proceeds down this area.
  167. [13:30:03] <~Kain> As you step out, you notice the place seems to be like an altar with a wooden hallway and stairs leading down as part of a different building - they seem to be here almost as an afterthought. Further down below you can see a dais inscribed with intricate runes, several stone pillars, and a carved stone door. A person is down here, kneeling down at the dais.
  168. [13:30:36] * Lenore looks around. "Huh, neat!" And then the new person appears. "Who's that? Let's go see!" She runs up there!
  169. [13:31:18] * Amaryllis frowns, proceeding more slowly and in silence.
  170. [13:31:38] <~Kain> As you get closer, you notice it's a woman with short red hair, wearing white makeup and black lipstick. She's wearing light clothing, and has a grim expression on her face. In front of her she's laid a boquet of red and blue flowers.
  171. [13:31:47] <~Kain> ...Shit, it's Chell.
  172. [13:32:45] <~Kain> ...or Belle.
  173. [13:32:47] <~Kain> One of them.
  174. [13:33:03] <Amaryllis> If there's enough space here to maneuver and stay hidden, Ammy does that as soon as she realizes the person's identity.
  175. [13:33:06] * Lenore stops dead, doesn't want to alert her to her presence.
  176. [13:34:23] <~Kain> She's just kneeling there, murmuring something... awareness from both of you, please.
  177. [13:34:31] <Amaryllis> 2d6+3
  178. [13:34:32] <DiceMaid-9001> Amaryllis, 2d6+3: 10 [2d6=3,4]
  179. [13:35:05] <Lenore> 2d6+5
  180. [13:35:06] <DiceMaid-9001> Lenore, 2d6+5: 13 [2d6=6,2]
  181. [13:35:53] <~Kain> Lenore hears her say, "Uncles... We hardly knew you, but Belle and I hope you are getting a peaceful rest..."
  182. [13:37:43] * Lenore carefully whispers to Ammy. "She's visiting the graves of her Uncles..."
  183. [13:38:53] <Amaryllis> (does Ammy recognize the dais as an extraction circle? it's a good guess either way, but I wanna know how sure she is of what that is)
  184. [13:39:24] <~Kain> Chell: "The Gemini tribe has been dying out, but one day..." she shakes her head. "Maybe one day we will have ze chance to rise again."
  185. [13:39:48] <~Kain> You haven't seen an extraction circle before, but... roll Lore: Eidolons to see what you might have picked up from Noah.
  186. [13:39:59] <Amaryllis> 2d6+5
  187. [13:40:00] <DiceMaid-9001> Amaryllis, 2d6+5: 15 [2d6=5,5]
  188. [13:40:07] <~Kain> Sure is an extraction circle.
  189. [13:40:15] <Amaryllis> (/me strangles)
  190. [13:40:21] <Giantree> (^)
  191. [13:40:54] <~Kain> This is definitely one of the places that could have been used to extract the power of Eidolons from their summoner.
  192. [13:40:56] <Amaryllis> "That is not a grave marker - it is a ritual circle for extracting Eidolons from a Summoner." Ammy whispers back.
  193. [13:41:53] <Amaryllis> "They must have died here."
  194. [13:42:05] <~Kain> Roll me Stealth again, you two.
  195. [13:42:10] <Amaryllis> 2d6+4
  196. [13:42:11] <DiceMaid-9001> Amaryllis, 2d6+4: 9 [2d6=3,2]
  197. [13:42:18] <~Kain> 2d6+5
  198. [13:42:19] <DiceMaid-9001> Kain, 2d6+5: 13 [2d6=2,6]
  199. [13:42:34] <Lenore> 2d6 ohboy
  200. [13:42:34] <DiceMaid-9001> Lenore, ohboy: 7 [2d6=2,5]
  201. [13:43:17] <~Kain> Chell looks up suddenly, turning around and frowning. "Is zomeone there?" she says, squinting. "Anozzer group of monsters? Or perhaps..."
  202. [13:43:40] <~Kain> She says in her frenchish accent that they have totally had all this time and was not just enforced today.
  203. [13:44:06] * Lenore makes not a sound. Ohgodohgod.
  204. [13:44:09] * Amaryllis stays still and quiet, or tries.
  205. [13:45:12] <~Kain> She starts to approach, conjuring a wand into her hand.
  206. [13:46:00] <~Kain> Or more like a staff, really.
  207. [13:47:16] <~Kain> She starts to walk up the stairs, looking back and forth.
  208. [13:48:00] <~Kain> The two of you are hiding in the darkness just around the corner from her, you can hear her footsteps getting nearer.
  209. [13:48:04] * Lenore isn't moving a hair.
  210. [13:48:58] * Amaryllis moves a hand behind her and conjures her knife, out of sight so she doesn't inadvertently give away their location with a glimmer of reflected light.
  211. [13:49:15] * Lenore has her Hand ready!
  212. [13:49:58] <~Kain> "...Guess it waz nozing..." she murmurs with a sight and starts heading back down.
  213. [13:50:08] <~Kain> "I shouldn't have come here wzzout Belle..."
  214. [13:50:23] <~Kain> *sigh
  215. [13:51:09] * Amaryllis waits a few moments for the footsteps to move away, then slowly begins trying to follow Chell without being noticed, keeping near the wall and to the shadows.
  216. [13:51:52] * Lenore moves up to Ammy and tugs an her sleeve, quietly, to get her attention. "You sure you should follow her?"
  217. [13:52:59] * Amaryllis quickly shakes her off with a mouthed 'let go'. She can't really sneak or react with someone hanging onto her. She nods and continues.
  218. [13:53:22] <Amaryllis> 'I'll be fine' she mouthes up at Lenore.
  219. [13:53:48] * Lenore lets out a SILENT SIGH and does her best to keep up with Ammy.
  220. [13:54:20] * Amaryllis shakes her head and motions for Lenore to wait for a bit before following.
  221. [13:56:29] <Amaryllis> She adjusts her glasses and resumes tailing, trying to keep her steps silent and timing them with Chell's to mask any sound she might make with the mime's own foosteps.
  222. [13:57:04] <~Kain> She's walking back towards the extraction circle, frowning (though you can't exactly see her face from this angle, come to think of it). She looks down at the bouquet again and says quietly, "Belle did want to come, but zere was a matter in Madain Sari that needed her attention. ...what were you trying to do, Uncle Zorn? Uncle Thorn? Working for zat Kuja... He used ze two of you."
  223. [13:57:48] * Amaryllis gets closer, listening for now.
  224. [13:58:33] <Amaryllis> Once down there, she looks around for a good second hiding spot a bit away from her and motions at Lenore then at the spot.
  225. [13:59:07] <~Kain> There's a stone pillar at this level you could move to.
  226. [13:59:12] * Lenore hurries over to join Ammy, trying not to make any noise.
  227. [13:59:21] * Kain is now known as Chell
  228. [13:59:25] <~Chell> "Well, no matter."
  229. [13:59:37] <~Chell> "It's time to zee exactly what was going on."
  230. [13:59:55] <~Chell> She raises the staff and points it at the extraction circle.
  231. [14:00:10] <~Chell> "Memento Memoria!"
  232. [14:00:56] <~Chell> The staff shoots a bolt of energy into the extraction circle, and the place begins to rumble as long dormant energies become active. After a moment, something... odd happens.
  233. [14:01:50] <~Chell> Time seems to flow backwards. You don't physically move, but you see and even feel yourselves going back up the stairs. You're still behind the stone pillar, but if you look, you can see yourselves looking over the room for a moment, before walking backward into the well. A phantom of Chell seems to move backwards through time as well.
  234. [14:04:36] <~Chell> Events play backwards, monsters come and go, and the backwards-reversing time speeds up, until... suddenly within the room are several people. A young girl that resembles Eiko, in the midst of the extraction circle. Two clowns in white makeup, dancing around her. Kuja himself, watching the events transpiring...
  235. [14:05:02] <~Chell> They seem to be transparent, see-through.
  236. [14:05:10] <Lenore> She whispers. "Whooooa..."
  237. [14:06:05] * Amaryllis merely watches in tense silence, knuckles white from gripping her cloak tightly.
  238. [14:06:29] <Amaryllis> Do the two of us or Chell seem changed at all during this, or is it just like there's an apparition of the past here?
  239. [14:07:36] <~Chell> Chell calmly watches the events unfold. Within the span of a few minutes, you see several young heroes bust their way down. Zidane, Vivi, Amarant, Freya, Quina, Steiner, Princess Garnet... they rush down to save Eiko, but she ends up being saved by her Moogle, which Trances into an Eidolon, beating the shit out of Zorn and Thorn. But when they go to confront Kuja, the jesters seem to combine
  240. [14:07:36] <~Chell> into a terrible monster while he gets away. As the Meltigemini is defeated, the vision fades away.
  241. [14:08:58] <~Chell> "He forced ze two of you to take zat form... how dreadful. You two should have had better zan his manipulations."
  242. [14:12:52] * Amaryllis takes this time as Chell is reminiscing to look around the area from her hiding spot.
  243. [14:15:26] <~Chell> Across from the stairs appears to be a door leading to another room. The extraction circle itself is large and comprised of colorful patterns. Decorations on the wall suggest an alien architecture.
  244. [14:15:44] * Lenore is a bit reluctant to leave this spot, she keeps quiet and still, looking around, and trying not to make any noise.
  245. [14:16:48] <Amaryllis> Does it appear distinctly Terran or reminiscent of anything else Ammy knows? In any case, she's carefully watching Chell to see what else she might be doing.
  246. [14:17:45] <~Chell> It's quite distinctly Terran, yes.
  247. [14:17:47] * ~Chell raises her arm and energy seems to coalesce into her palm.
  248. [14:18:31] <~Chell> And when the light fades, she's holding half of a stone, marked with half of
  249. [14:18:51] <~Chell> She looks at it a moment, pockets it, and turns to leave.
  250. [14:19:39] * Amaryllis fishes around in her bag and looks for her own zodiac sign stone, glancing at it.
  251. [14:19:55] <Amaryllis> (wait, the zodiac is a thing, right?)
  252. [14:20:05] <~Chell> Yes it is.
  253. [14:20:16] <~Chell> It was what the famous Stellazio coins were based on.
  254. [14:20:37] <~Chell> The stones look fairly similar, excepting the marking and Chell's being cut in half.
  255. [14:21:29] <~Chell> After a few moments, Chell is gone, and your game of hiding comes to an end.
  256. [14:21:33] * Chell is now known as Kain
  257. [14:22:46] <Amaryllis> (oh I was actually typing a big thing to approach her now, but oh well)
  258. [14:22:52] <~Kain> (Oh, were you?)
  259. [14:22:59] <~Kain> (I was just assuming you were staying hidden)
  260. [14:23:07] <~Kain> If you actually approach her, go ahead.
  261. [14:24:47] * Amaryllis motions to Lenore to stay hidden. 'watch my back' she mouthes as she rises from her hiding spot and slowly follows behind Chell, knife drawn and lantern out. Right as she's getting to the exit, she shuffles up close and tries to press the point of her knife against her back, letting her lantern glow brightly behind the mime.
  262. [14:25:27] <~Kain> "Ow."
  263. [14:25:31] * Kain is now known as Chell
  264. [14:25:43] <~Chell> She stops in place, raising her hands.
  265. [14:26:40] <Amaryllis> "And who is the puppet and who is the puppet master in this newest play? Ayane? The Glutton? Do you and your sister make them dance to your strings?"
  266. [14:27:12] <~Chell> "Hm, aren't you the one from Daguerreo...?" she says with some curiosity as she turns her head.
  267. [14:27:17] * Lenore is a bit behind Ammy, OMINOUSLY CHANTING
  268. [14:27:36] <Amaryllis> "I am."
  269. [14:27:59] <~Chell> "You are azzuming there is any puppeteering going on."
  270. [14:29:20] <Amaryllis> "What role are you playing then, Chell?"
  271. [14:32:35] <~Chell> She chuckles. "Do you cast me in ze role of ze villain, and yourself a hero, perhaps? Roles. Such black and white notions. We are simply ourselves, doing what we must. But you have approached me with a knife to ze back on ze grave of my uncles. Do you intend to kill me? You could, perhaps, zrust zat knife in before I could even..."
  272. [14:32:39] <~Chell> "Blink..."
  273. [14:32:54] <~Chell> She vanishes in a blur and reappears around ten feet away, facing you.
  274. [14:32:57] <Amaryllis> "Not so black and white, no."
  275. [14:33:15] * Amaryllis turns to look, her eyes now aglow.
  276. [14:34:18] <~Chell> She twirls her staff, and then points it at the two of you. "I am not in ze mood for a fight, but my apologies, I will defend myzelf if need be."
  277. [14:34:48] <Amaryllis> (she saw Lenore hiding?)
  278. [14:35:00] <~Chell> >Lenore is a bit behind Ammy, OMINOUSLY CHANTING
  279. [14:36:08] <Amaryllis> "I wish to understand what you intend is all. What role you shall play in this tale." Ammy holds her knife out to the side now, instead of pointed at Chell, then momentarily dismisses it as she slowly shuffles toward her. The lantern is still held up.
  280. [14:36:22] <Lenore> She halts her chanting. "If you'll leave peacefully, then we'll let you go."
  281. [14:36:23] <Amaryllis> Golden Gaze, if eye contact can be made.
  282. [14:36:31] * ~Chell spins her staff and pulls it over her shoulder.
  283. [14:37:03] <~Chell> Opposed Finesse, Ammy.
  284. [14:37:06] <~Chell> 2d6+8
  285. [14:37:07] <DiceMaid-9001> Chell, 2d6+8: 12 [2d6=2,2]
  286. [14:37:14] <Amaryllis> 2d6+3 well at least I get a bonus to opposed rolls
  287. [14:37:15] <DiceMaid-9001> Amaryllis, well at least I get a bonus to opposed rolls: 15 [2d6=6,6]
  288. [14:37:24] <Anise> (/slowclap)
  289. [14:38:00] <Lenore> (/slowclap)
  290. [14:38:06] <Lenore> (Hey Anise, you want in on Skype?)
  291. [14:38:17] <Anise> (nah I'm about to pass out but thanks)
  292. [14:38:19] <~Chell> Leeet's see.
  293. [14:38:29] <Lenore> ('kay, but my sister's on it)
  294. [14:42:36] <~Chell> (also I am so sorry Aori)
  295. [14:44:33] <Lenore> (Hmm?)
  296. [14:46:49] <Amaryllis> (sorry kain ;o;)
  297. [14:47:17] <~Chell> I'm trying to think of what to list that's worth a destiny
  298. [14:50:17] <~Chell> In her mind, you see immediately that this is not the mind of a human. On her mind right now are a lot of things - avenging her uncles, trying to find someone named "Maliris" (you see the flash of an ugly creature resembling this, as well as plans to repopulate her tribe. Hidden deep in there is
  299. [14:50:17] <~Chell> also indeed, her intentions to... oppose Chaos?
  300. [14:51:17] <~Chell> She scowls immediately, though and points her staff at you again. "My mind iz NOT your playzing!!"
  301. [14:52:11] <~Chell> "You 'ave gone too far!" Combat!
  302. [14:52:18] <Amaryllis> "Call it a bit of payback for what you did to me at Daguerreo." Ammy's eyes return to their normal yellow.
  303. [14:53:17] <~Chell> Enemy gets the pre-emptive strike!
  304. [14:53:29] <~Chell> She casts a point of destiny to jump ahead in the initiative and begins casting.
  305. [14:55:37] <~Chell> Player turns.
  306. [14:56:12] <~Chell>
  307. [14:56:17] <Lenore> "Well, all right then!
  308. [14:56:19] <Lenore> "
  309. [14:56:27] * Lenore begins casting. "Ammy, cover me!"
  310. [14:57:12] <Amaryllis> The knife flashes back into Ammy's hand. "Of course." It glows as Ammy channels magical power into it, quickening the spell she weaves to try to interrupt the casting. Quick cast! Sleep!
  311. [14:57:39] <~Chell> 2d6+8
  312. [14:57:40] <DiceMaid-9001> Chell, 2d6+8: 20 [2d6=6,6]
  313. [14:57:56] <Amaryllis> 2d6+10 force
  314. [14:57:57] <DiceMaid-9001> Amaryllis, force: 13 [2d6=2,1]
  315. [14:57:58] <Lenore> (HAHA SHIT)
  316. [14:58:00] <Amaryllis> (well balls)
  317. [14:58:10] <~Chell> She resists the sleep!
  318. [14:58:51] * ~Chell raises her staff and swings in front of herself. A yellow shield forms around her, and her movements begin to speed up.
  319. [14:58:55] <~Chell> "Mighty Guard!"
  320. [14:59:22] <~Chell> She begins to float up into the air as the spell takes hold.
  321. [14:59:58] <~Chell> Her staff pops open, the Qu disguise from Daguerreo springs out. Its arms seem to mimic her own movements as she begins casting again.
  322. [15:00:02] <~Chell> "Diffusion! Virus!"
  323. [15:00:19] <~Chell> She then spews out a wave of purple gas at the two of you from her mouth.
  324. [15:00:32] <~Chell> Roll Force checks against Supreme Resist (20)
  325. [15:00:46] <Amaryllis> 2d6+10
  326. [15:00:47] <DiceMaid-9001> Amaryllis, 2d6+10: 20 [2d6=4,6]
  327. [15:01:15] <Lenore> 2d6+5 well aren't I fucked
  328. [15:01:16] <DiceMaid-9001> Lenore, well aren't I fucked: 8 [2d6=2,1]
  329. [15:01:26] <~Chell> Lenore is infected! She can't recover HP or MP for 4 turns!
  330. [15:01:32] <~Chell> Player turns!
  331. [15:01:38] <Lenore> "Nnnngh."
  332. [15:02:18] <~Chell> Chell seems incredibly serious compared to how she and her sister were goofing off the last time you fought them.
  333. [15:02:56] * Lenore finishes her casting. "Your barrier doesn't bother me! Heavens above, unleash thy might! Bring your hammer upon my foe! Show them the folly of opposing me! Triple Thundara!" Also Activating Elemental Seal, which removes Shell.
  334. [15:03:36] <Lenore> 3#2d6+162
  335. [15:03:36] <DiceMaid-9001> Lenore, 3#2d6+162: 172 [2d6=6,4], 170 [2d6=4,4], 167 [2d6=2,3]
  336. [15:03:49] * Amaryllis steps forward and begins chanting a spell of her own.
  337. [15:05:44] <~Chell> She takes the attacks hard and grits her teeth.
  338. [15:06:24] <~Chell> She rushes forward and bops Lenore with her staff, the weird scare-qu thing flailing about.
  339. [15:06:29] <~Chell> 2d6+5
  340. [15:06:29] <DiceMaid-9001> Chell, 2d6+5: 10 [2d6=3,2]
  341. [15:06:52] <Lenore> Hits, of course!
  342. [15:07:09] <~Chell> 2d6+6 Opposed Force, Lenore.
  343. [15:07:09] <DiceMaid-9001> Chell, Opposed Force, Lenore.: 13 [2d6=4,3]
  344. [15:07:24] <Lenore> 2d6+5 oh man
  345. [15:07:25] <DiceMaid-9001> Lenore, oh man: 10 [2d6=4,1]
  346. [15:07:39] <Lenore> 1d6 Destiny?
  347. [15:07:40] <DiceMaid-9001> Lenore, Destiny?: 3 [1d6=3]
  348. [15:07:45] <Lenore> TIE
  349. [15:08:04] <~Chell> You take 75 damage and are NOT transformed into a Frog.
  350. [15:08:13] <~Chell> She begins casting again.
  351. [15:08:27] * Lenore counterattacks
  352. [15:08:27] <~Chell> (Arm btw)
  353. [15:08:52] <Lenore> 2d6+3 musclewizard
  354. [15:08:52] <DiceMaid-9001> Lenore, musclewizard: 10 [2d6=2,5]
  355. [15:09:05] <Lenore> Hit?
  356. [15:09:16] <~Chell> Hits! Seems like even while floating she has pretty low avd.
  357. [15:09:41] <Lenore> 79 ARM damage
  358. [15:09:53] <~Chell> Player turns!
  359. [15:09:56] * Amaryllis finishes her spell, a dark glow wreathing her arm as she casts it, coloring the globules of liquid that fly toward Chell with a deep black. Darkside! Bio!
  360. [15:10:05] * Lenore conjures up a giant hand and SLAPS Chell's face!
  361. [15:10:08] <Amaryllis> 2d6+108 M. ARM
  362. [15:10:08] <DiceMaid-9001> Amaryllis, M. ARM: 115 [2d6=1,6]

  364. [15:10:17] <DiceMaid-9001> Amaryllis, force for poison: 22 [2d6=6,6]
  365. [15:10:32] <~Chell> She's not going to beat that, but she can Rippler.
  366. [15:11:12] <Amaryllis> (Rippler can't be used in the middle of a slow action I thought)
  367. [15:11:16] <~Chell> Oh, so it can't
  368. [15:11:22] <Lenore> (^)
  369. [15:11:29] <~Chell> Poisoned!
  370. [15:11:43] * Lenore begins casting up another spell.
  371. [15:12:22] <Amaryllis> And then Ammy shuffles up to close the distance and lunges forward with a stab of her knife, her arm still aglow with shadow energy.
  372. [15:12:33] <Amaryllis> 2d6+5 darkside nightsword

  377. [15:13:15] <~Chell> Okay, just making sure.
  378. [15:14:14] <Amaryllis> 274 Shadow ARM, and I recover 50% of whatever that ends up
  379. [15:15:50] <~Chell> You recover 120
  380. [15:16:55] <~Chell> She casts Quick on herself to refresh Haste, drinks a Potion, and then attacks Ammy!
  381. [15:17:02] * Amaryllis pulls the knife out, drawing with it a stream of dark mist that soaks back into her through her knife.
  382. [15:17:06] <~Chell> 2d6+5
  383. [15:17:07] <DiceMaid-9001> Chell, 2d6+5: 13 [2d6=6,2]

  390. [15:18:54] * Amaryllis reels back from the blow but remains standing. "Lenore, can I grab a hi-potion?"
  391. [15:20:21] <Lenore> "In a sec~! Lightning, heed my call! Bring my fury upon my foe! Thundara!" Bolt of lightning, meet Chell. There's M.ARM this time, but she destroyed the Shell sooo...

  394. [15:20:47] <Lenore> And then she uses the Hi-Potion on Ammy!
  395. [15:20:50] <Amaryllis> (wondering - is it possible for me to use my action for that hi-potion and not Lenore's if she just hands it off?)
  396. [15:20:56] <~Chell> (Yes)
  397. [15:21:05] <Lenore> (I'd heal you more, though.)
  398. [15:21:12] * Amaryllis takes the hi-potion and chugs it. (50% gets me to full)
  399. [15:21:25] <Lenore> (Oh, fine, then)
  400. [15:21:31] * Lenore begins casting yet another spell!
  401. [15:22:09] * Amaryllis splashes the rest of the potion over wounded arm and tosses the bottle aside from drinking.
  402. [15:22:10] <~Chell> She concentrates again! Diffusion! Black spheres compress Ammy and Lenore and threaten to rip them apart! The spheres vanish but the pain remains!
  403. [15:22:14] <~Chell> 2d6+8 Opposed Finesse
  404. [15:22:15] <DiceMaid-9001> Chell, Opposed Finesse: 15 [2d6=4,3]

  411. [15:23:04] <~Chell> Until the end of the session, you both lose 10% mp when casting a spell and 10% HP when attacking.
  412. [15:24:02] <~Chell> "Should have used zis to start with."
  413. [15:25:32] * Amaryllis winces as she raises her knife arm but continues her onslaught, stepping forward again and stabbing at Chell again!
  414. [15:25:51] <Amaryllis> 2d6+5
  415. [15:25:52] <DiceMaid-9001> Amaryllis, 2d6+5: 16 [2d6=6,5]
  416. [15:25:57] <~Chell> Is that Darkside?
  417. [15:26:04] <Amaryllis> (yeah, it was, whoops)
  418. [15:26:05] <~Chell> Oh wait, her float's worn off anyway
  419. [15:26:29] <Amaryllis> 137 shadow
  420. [15:26:40] <~Chell> She staggers backwards, showing signs of fatigue now.
  421. [15:28:04] <Lenore> "This is the end, friend! May lightning bless you to the afterlife! Thundara!"
  422. [15:28:12] <Lenore> 2d6+144
  423. [15:28:12] <DiceMaid-9001> Lenore, 2d6+144: 154 [2d6=5,5]
  424. [15:29:00] <~Chell> "....zut."
  425. [15:30:41] <~Chell> She steps backwards and closes her staff, casting Angel's Snack on herself. "I suppoze you win zis day. Fine. Take zis, then."
  426. [15:30:53] <~Chell> She slings the half-gemini stone at you.
  427. [15:31:10] <Amaryllis> "Wait!"
  428. [15:31:20] <~Chell> "I saw what I needed to. But ztay out of my head!"
  429. [15:31:22] <Amaryllis> "It is as I said, I merely wish to understand what roles are being played here."
  430. [15:32:05] <Amaryllis> "Not of heroes and villains, but competing champions, fighting for their fates. It is about time the cast of this story understands each other, is it not? And Ayane and the Glutton yet remain enigmas to us."
  431. [15:33:04] * Amaryllis clutches her arm, surprised at how much more it hurt to stab that time, even with the darkside. She steps forward despite it. "And you two as well."
  432. [15:36:09] <~Chell> "My sister and I are ze last members of ze Gemini tribe, called demons by humans because zey never understood. We are born as conjoined twins, zough we are truly one being. Our reasons for involvement are our own."
  433. [15:36:09] * Lenore catches the gemini stone, looking over it.
  434. [15:36:23] <Amaryllis> "Do you intend to turn the Glutton and Ayane against each other? I do not understand their seeming strange alliance."
  435. [15:36:33] <~Chell> It's cleaved in half, but similar to the others otherwise.
  436. [15:37:30] <~Chell> "It is not what you would call a typical alliance. Zey are using each ozer for power. That is all. We have our own goals as well."
  437. [15:38:09] <Amaryllis> "You stand in the grave of an entire people, misunderstood and called murderers and monsters. It is not too far for us to understand your tribe as well."
  438. [15:39:05] <~Chell> ... "Ayane pretended to offer ze Glutton an army of black mages for his own use, zough she will do no such thing. Ze rest of it you will have to figure out yourself. I am ztill quite angry."
  439. [15:39:22] <~Chell> "Even so much as to be impolite, it is a shame."
  440. [15:40:13] <~Chell> "Perhaps anozzer time..."
  441. [15:40:35] <Amaryllis> "I apologize then, for my intrusion. But we did not exactly meet on the best of terms. Go, I do not think it would do any of us well to continue this fight here."
  442. [15:41:24] <~Chell> "No, indeed not."
  443. [15:41:42] <~Chell> She turns to go.
  444. [15:41:50] <Amaryllis> "We outnumber you, but I can feel myself torn apart a little with every movement. I am sure you have similar uncertainties about your ability to win this fight. It is a gamble not befitting this time and place."
  445. [15:44:45] * Amaryllis backs up as well, deeper into the architecture here away from the exit, and looks to Lenore with a shrug.
  446. [15:44:46] * Lenore shrugs back. "Shall we continue, then?"
  447. [15:44:46] <Chell> "Do not zink our behavior at Daguerreo was an indication of our true ability. We were goofing off. If Belle were here, things would have gone differently. But zat is irrelevant anyway."
  448. [15:44:48] <Amaryllis> "We are half our number as well at the moment. Another day."
  449. [15:44:52] <Chell> "Anozzer day." she agrees, and up the stairs she goes.
  450. [15:44:47] <~Chell> (My nets can't be this treeible)
  451. [15:44:58] <Bigwood> (p. kawaii)
  452. [15:45:09] <~Chell> After a moment Chell is FINALLY gone.
  453. [15:45:16] <Amaryllis> "Shall we rest first? It hurts just to bloody move from whatever spell she last cast, and Nat is not around to help with my usual wounds." Ammy goes to find a seat.
  454. [15:45:38] <~Chell> The two of you are left deep in the heart of Mt. Gulug, wounded and in dangerous territory.
  455. [15:45:42] <Lenore> "Mmm, yeah, I'm hurting pretty bad too, so..."
  456. [15:45:50] <~Chell> And you still haven't actually found anything pertaining to why you came.
  457. [15:46:06] <Amaryllis> We're right on the doorstep though!
  458. [15:46:16] <~Chell> Yes, but that will have to wait until next time!
