My name is Daniel Martinez and I am interested in becoming a student at the Bergen County Technical School of Teterboro. At the school, I am interested in the Digital Media major as I am fascinated in this major for amongst several reasons.
	I have always had a passion for digital art and media. Since childhood I have always had a passion and an interest in graphic design and media, as I wanted to pursue a career involving digital media, and one day being a movie editor. Alongside this, I am a visual learner myself. Digital media has sparked my creativity as it has caused me to think outside of the box by working on different styles of editing. I have always strived to make the best artwork possible, by incorporating special effects, outlining shadows, texts or images in order for the final design to stand out.  My dedication and commitment enables me to utilize  my spare time towards movie editing and Photoshop design. I am a self-taught digital media designer and have been making projects on Photoshop approximately two years improving my work every time I compose a new project. Currently, I edit movies and videos on a software program named Sony Vegas Pro 14, the newest version of the Vegas Pro series, for my brother and I. Simultaneously, I enjoy doing both things, which is why I enjoy the major. In addition, I believe there is always room for improvement and feel this major would enhance my aptitude for digital media.
Additionally, I am academically capable of excelling in the school. I am a distinguished honor-roll student, with all course grades of a 92%  and  higher. I take great pride in my schoolwork and continually embrace new ways of understanding all school related topics.
With regards to extracurricular activities, I presently run for the Maywood Cross Country team. I have been on the team since sixth grade and I have greatly improved not only my running time for the races but my running techniques as well. I have participated in several five kilometer races as I am very passionate about running. If given the chance, I plan on joining the cross country team and the spring track team for the school.
In conclusion, I welcome the opportunity to be a student at Bergen County Technical School of Teterboro as I will be able to incorporate, academics, extracurricular activities and  further my passion and understanding for a future career in Digital Media.
