- Let me tell you all something.
- Ever since I was born, I knew I was Kaneki Ken. My hair was black when I was little but it was curly so I straightened it because I’m Kaneki.
- I was overjoyed when my hair began to get lighter due to being outdoors. However, it never reached the pure snow white that I wanted.
- I began to have breakdowns from dysphoria, not being able to express who I truly am. I asked my mother if I could bleach my hair white and she refused, calling me a “k*nny” and sending me to my room. I told her that I was Kaneki Ken and she got angry. Later that day I heard her crying, talking to my dad in tears.
- My best friend ided as Hide. It was us against the world. He and I faced bullying at school, from teachers, doctors, even our families. All we had was each other, facing the world of sorrows and heartbreak together.

Hide and I comforted America as best as we could. He eventually left the country to find equality.
- In 2016, kinphobia reached its peak. My friend, who ided as Tsukiyama Shuu, was arrested and put on death row for being a “cannibal.” Hide and I were devistated. Meanwhile, at school, Hide and I faced the worst of physical bullying.
- September 9th, 2016, Hide was beaten to death, his attackers throwing the slurs “k*nny” at him and “stupid tokyo ghoul kin.” I managed to get there in time to hear his last words.
- “Kaneki…..I guess it’s canon….”
- I sobbed. “N-no….hide!!!”
- He chuckled, blood running down his chin. “Let the world know what happened today….I hope for a future *cough* where none of this happens.”
- “Hide!!!”
- “Stop kinphobia kaneki….thats my final wish”
- Kinphobia IS and ALWAYS HAS BEEN real. We are systematically
