  1. 22:04:50] <Panda|GM> Daariv flies away from her siblings and the remnants of the Shifting Forest, and after a lengthy few minutes- for her newly strengthened wings were powerful indeed- she crosses into an area with less snow and more rocks and grass. Seeing grass for the first time was rather bizarre, but not entirely alarming, all things considered.
  2. 22:05:12] <Panda|GM> She can see a river appear from the distance and her path shifts slightly to follow it, then it forks.
  3. 22:05:38] <JENTHULHU> presumably she surveys the forks for noteworthy differences
  4. 22:06:00] <Panda|GM> To the right, she can see a massive structure rising into the sky. To the left, the grass continues without end, but the ground starts to become hilly.||
  5. 22:07:31] <JENTHULHU> She flies towards the structure, her mastery of the winds carrying her swiftly through the skies
  6. 22:16:27] → Chrono joined (Chr-n-@dlp-D9F4C3DD.dsl.bell.ca)
  7. 22:20:43] → persephone joined (persephone@dlp-865E9F59.lsu.edu)
  8. 22:23:09] <Panda|GM> It...takes much longer than she thought it would. Whereas it only took a maximum of 20 minutes to fly to the river in the first place, it took nearly double that time to close in on the massive structure she saw in the distance.
  9. 22:23:12] <Panda|GM> And it only grew larger.
  10. 22:23:38] <JENTHULHU> She surveys it with her keen vision as she approached
  11. 22:23:45] <Panda|GM> By the time she made it close enough to make out details, it towered over her. Even Solaire and his bizarre growth regimen was totally and utterly dwarfed by this mammoth creation.
  12. 22:24:15] <Panda|GM> It was vaguely giant shaped. One head, two eyes, a mouth, differently arranged limbs.
  13. 22:24:28] <Panda|GM> But giants would barely be a speck on it.
  14. 22:24:56] <Panda|GM> Below it, under the shadow of it's massive bulk, was a gleaming city, nearly missed in the wake of the Colossus.
  15. 22:24:58] <Panda|GM> http://i1180.photobucket.com/albums/x412/Haissem/RelicofaForgottenAge.jpg
  16. 22:25:26] <Panda|GM> A small amount of smoke rose from it as she approached, but it was nothing compared to the giant volcano on the back of the Colossus.||
  17. 22:26:12] <JENTHULHU> For the moment she alights in the lower direction of the city, circling and surveying it.
  18. 22:28:19] <Panda|GM> It appeared as a normal, if particularly shiny city, until she closes in. The more details her eyes pick out, the less she knows what to do with it.
  19. 22:28:54] <Panda|GM> The entire city rotated, but different portions rotated in different proportions, and there were cracks between the rotating portions that glowed with an infernal light.

  21. 22:30:12] — JENTHULHU looks for a good, open location to land.
  22. 22:31:40] <Panda|GM> (In or outside of the city? I'm abiding relatively by the pictures. Little room in city, plenty of room outside of it.)

  29. 22:34:01] <JENTHULHU> (you made your point? I just thought there might be the occasional plaza
  30. 22:34:17] <Pink> (...so we're playing modrons?)
  31. 22:34:42] <Panda|GM> (Nah, no plazas. Everything is really close together and practically atop of one another.)
  32. 22:34:55] <Prothean|Beholder> plaza?
  33. 22:36:00] <Pink> (Land on a luchador, there should be some paliza around)
  34. 22:36:03] — JENTHULHU lands on top of a suitably sturdy looking building and/or balcony then.
  35. 22:37:34] <Panda|GM> The tallest building around ends up hosting a gleaming dragon, in the center of the clockwork city, as the sole place that doesn't constantly move.||
  36. 22:39:06] — JENTHULHU surveys the living creatues about.
  37. 22:42:33] <Panda|GM> All around, moving with a grace only matched by your regal form, were all sorts of creatures.
  38. 22:42:52] <Panda|GM> Some were shining and moved low to the ground with 9 massive, spindly limbs.
  39. 22:43:07] <Panda|GM> Others were tall and moved with four limbs like yourself.
  40. 22:43:31] <Panda|GM> Some were made of stone and fire, others similar to the clockwork layout of the strange city.
  41. 22:43:46] <Panda|GM> You figured after a long while of musing, they were all part of the same strange species.
  42. 22:43:55] <Panda|GM> [Clockwork City discovered]
  43. 22:43:59] <Panda|GM> ||
  44. 22:45:45] — JENTHULHU listens to hear if they speak, and if they do, to see if she can puzzle it out without resorting to more forceful measures. If that fails, she targets one with Mind Break
  45. 22:47:57] <Panda|GM> )bzzznzzztttzzzzzszzzzzzz(
  46. 22:48:20] <Panda|GM> The noises they make are somewhere between buzzing and chittering, and you can make neither heads nor tails of it.
  47. 22:48:48] <Panda|GM> You find a tall, statuesque one, who walks as if expecting the way to clear for them, and they are targeted.
  48. 22:49:49] <Panda|GM> They stumble and fall over, causing a loud disturbance which finds other bystanders looking on in shock.
  49. 22:50:00] <Panda|GM> When they rise, they immediately start scanning their surroundings.
  50. 22:50:09] <JENTHULHU> do I get info?
  51. 22:50:39] <Panda|GM> Your Mind Break was rebuffed, though it caused some type of reaction, bouncing off as if hitting a particularly sturdy wall.
  52. 22:50:47] <Panda|GM> http://www.kekaiart.com/uploads/5/4/7/6/5476798/3988364_orig.jpg
  53. 22:50:57] <Panda|GM> Your foe looks up and stares directly at you.||
  54. 22:51:18] — JENTHULHU inclines head, asking "Do you understand my words" in draconic.
  55. 22:52:31] <Panda|GM> [Desire to Rule Clockwork City: Low and Rising]
  56. 22:53:03] <Panda|GM> They say nothing in draconic, merely buzzing at nearby onlookers, who shuffle away quickly. The creature sits on the ground, still staring at you, seemingly waiting.||
  57. 22:54:22] <JENTHULHU> does that clear enough room in the street to not squish something?
  58. 22:56:05] <Panda|GM> The street is clear enough that you won't immediately squash anything, though it'll be a tight fit for your newfound bulky form.||
  59. 22:58:13] — JENTHULHU holds out a claw, extruding an aluminum gear to land in front of it.

  62. 23:10:12] <Panda|GM> The gear drops to the ground and the bronze figure doesn't move, still watching you carefully. And waiting.||
  63. 23:10:33] * TheSpiderKeeper is now known as Belaris
  64. 23:11:00] — JENTHULHU looks for any sign of what it is waiting for, if there is no sign, she begins flying up
  65. 23:12:48] <Panda|GM> It appears that it could either be waiting for it's companions to come back (in which case it means a trap) or it's waiting on some sign for you to move first (in which case it means a possibly benevolent approach).||
  66. 23:14:36] — JENTHULHU flies up, deeming it to have rejected her more peaceful symbolic offer, and alighting towards the giant titan thing
  67. 23:16:00] <Panda|GM> It continues to remain still, only it's head turning as you fly off. You are unmolested as you head into the distance.||
  68. 23:17:11] <Prothean|Beholder> ((but i wanted to see jen get molested :( ))
  69. 23:17:39] <Panda|GM> ((Shush, you))
  70. 23:26:48] ⇐ Belaris quit (Belaris@dlp-945E2F02.try.wideopenwest.com): Quit: Leaving
  71. 23:28:30] — JENTHULHU heads towards the giant titan thing, examining it as she got closer, starting low and working higher
  72. 23:30:55] <Panda|GM> It appears the Titan is some sort of construct, as it isn't moving or breathing, merely...there. It's kneeling on one leg which seems to be as large around as /several/ of Solaire tied together.
  73. 23:31:09] <Panda|GM> It has a volcano spewing ash and smoke at a ridiculous rate on one shoulder.
  74. 23:31:21] <Panda|GM> On the other, a large tree and foliage. Large enough to hide your form.
  75. 23:31:51] <Panda|GM> In the center of it's chest, a blinding light shone through cracks in it's body.||
  76. 23:32:02] — JENTHULHU examines the foliage for occupancy first.
  77. 23:33:28] <Panda|GM> It appears as if a few slender, feathered creatures are fighting over some food in the tree. You're far enough and silent enough that they don't notice you. Their language is incomprehensible, but it grates to your ears, every syllable like a screech in your brain.||
  78. 23:34:01] <JENTHULHU> (did the rebounded mind break use up the use for the day?)
  79. 23:34:33] <JENTHULHU> (or did it not count because it didn't fully go off?)
  80. 23:36:31] <Panda|GM> (It didn't count. Mechanic would be that once your mind attaches to another, there's a draining, exhausting process that fills your mind with the afflicted's memories. It didn't connect, so you don't have to worry about it.)
  81. 23:37:04] — JENTHULHU utilizes it upon one of the creatures
  82. 23:40:02] <Panda|GM> Shattered images fill your mind.
  83. 23:40:18] <Panda|GM> A broken egg, a massive figure. /Mother/.
  84. 23:40:41] <Panda|GM> Tearing a piece of flesh from a sibling, who wouldn't share.
  85. 23:41:04] <Panda|GM> Your first Call, paralyzing a massive predator who was tearing through your flock.
  86. 23:41:26] <Panda|GM> Moving away from your family, setting out to find a place where your Song would flourish.
  87. 23:42:01] <Panda|GM> Coming across the Clockwork City and the Towering Titan, claiming the location as your own.
  88. 23:42:45] <Panda|GM> Recruiting those flocks around yours, killing those who wouldn't join you in their sleep.
  89. 23:43:25] <Panda|GM> Reaching your Second Call just as you defeat an entire army with just yourself and your guards.
  90. 23:43:42] <Panda|GM> Your mind being torn apart as you watch your new family play with their food.
  91. 23:43:45] <Panda|GM> ~~~~~
  92. 23:43:51] <Panda|GM> You're falling out of the sky.||
  93. 23:43:57] <JENTHULHU> how many of them are there?
  94. 23:44:18] <JENTHULHU> also I of course resume flying
  95. 23:44:42] <Panda|GM> (Wyvern Language [Siren's Call] learned. 100%)
  96. 23:45:11] <Panda|GM> (Wyvern History: Flock Leader learned. 85%)
  97. 23:46:23] <Panda|GM> Your knowledge tells you that there's the comatose Flock Leader as well as four currently roaming Scouts and ten inhabitants. Three are children and the rest have all had their first Call- a process where a wyvern learns their signature screech which disorients and paralyzes prey.||
  98. 23:47:27] <JENTHULHU> does my knowledge suggest the language will give any special abilities?
  99. 23:50:18] <Panda|GM> Your knowledge lets you know that there's a particular vocal attribute the wyvern possess which allows for both their special Calls as well as their typically grating vocal ranges. Devouring one- given your own malleable genetic identity- is likely to grant the special ability, as well as improved fluency with the language.||
  100. 23:53:03] <JENTHULHU> Daariv swoops in, savaging as many of the inhabitants in one swoop as she can, using the wind, flicked blades, and her teeth and claws to deal with them quickly, they were highly territorial, and the memories suggested that taking them too lightly would be an error.
  101. 23:56:13] <Panda|GM> The Hurricane dragged along your wings is merely the start of the slaughter of the Wyvern Flock of Towering Titan.
  102. 23:56:40] <Panda|GM> Dashed against the stone-hard wood, their wings are shredded, grounding them for the continuance of your brutalization.
  103. 23:56:59] <Panda|GM> They could barely have stood face to face against your smaller brother, Ancalagon.
  104. 23:58:09] <Panda|GM> You, with your magnificent stature and resplendent armor, was so far beyond them as to be a complete and utter disaster for the clan.
  105. 23:58:43] <Panda|GM> When it was all said and done, two of the youngest and two of the eldest were the only remaining living, by your leave.||
  106. 23:59:32] <JENTHULHU> "You have two choices. Leave, or swear fealty." She declared to them imperiously.

  108. 7 00:01:10] <Panda|GM> It was hardly in question. They were a cowardly sort at heart, you knew this. They ran when they could, struck from the shadows if they had a chance, and followed those who they couldn't defeat.
  109. 7 00:01:33] <Panda|GM> The result of trying was clear to them, in the broken forms of their family.
  110. 7 00:01:56] <Panda|GM> They gave a light screech which was indicative of loyalty.||
  111. 7 00:03:57] → MooseKens joined (textual@dlp-84950879.lsanca.fios.verizon.net)
  112. 7 00:04:07] <JENTHULHU> Daariv instructs them to forage for food, and once they had gone, consumes their bretheren's corpses.
  113. 7 00:05:17] <Panda|GM> They climb awkwardly away, only the elders moving, for the young ones had no clue what to do- and both groups were ground-bound for the time being. The children do stay out of your way at your command, and you take the flesh of the defeated foes, including the Flock Leader.
  114. 7 00:06:00] ⇐ Chrono|Virric quit (Chr-n-@dlp-D9F4C3DD.dsl.bell.ca): Quit: http://www.kiwiirc.com/ - A hand crafted IRC client
  115. 7 00:06:12] <Panda|GM> Your throat burns as you alter on a core level, your biology shifting to allow you your new prize as ruler of Towering Titan.
  116. 7 00:06:49] <Panda|GM> (Wyvern Biology [Siren's Call: Stage 1 and 2] added.)||
  117. 7 00:09:11] <JENTHULHU> Does she feel any familiar stirrings within?
  118. 7 00:11:55] <Panda|GM> She only feels the signs of warmth within after a hearty feast. It seems as though this session of combat was either not strenuous enough or not worthy of the name to trigger her growth processes.||
  119. 7 00:13:51] <JENTHULHU> When the two return, she extrudes chokers for them to wear around their neck, emblazoned with a stylized dragon head not unlike her own on the front, of precious metals. She assists them with getting them on if need be, and explains that they are a sign of their loyalty.
  120. 7 00:15:57] <Panda|GM> Several hours later, the elder Wyvern each deposit half of a cow in front of you before accepting your regalia with almost surprising geniality. It's almost surprising due to your stolen memories. They had a new leader, so they were being as happy with all changes as possible so they wouldn't be harmed. It was very much like them.||
  121. 7 00:17:48] <JENTHULHU> Daariv asks if they already ate upon the cows they had hunted, if they had not, she cedes one of the halves to them, if yes, she ceded a quarter of the meal to the young ones, then flew up, saying she would return soon, flying to investigate that core.
  122. 7 00:19:56] <Panda|GM> They hesitate before responding, then the one on the left (who is a darker series of blues) pipes up eagerly, offering that they had eaten a cow before taking this one before you.
  123. 7 00:20:47] <Panda|GM> After you give the half to the young ones, the right wyvern (who is closer to green) almost grumbles, but catches a look of the bloodstains on the ground and says nothing.
  124. 7 00:20:55] <Panda|GM> The core is blinding and /cold/.
  125. 7 00:21:19] <Panda|GM> An ethereal light shines from somewhere deep within, and looking on for longer than a second sears your powerful eyes.||
  126. 7 00:23:18] — JENTHULHU frowns, flying down to the surface and grabbing some reasonably large wild animal from the surface, killing it and depositing it in the area with the sirens as she returns, statig, "If any are still hungry, feast, for serving me well requires you be healthy."
  127. 7 00:24:55] <Panda|GM> The buffalo is eagerly devoured by all four of the creatures, who thank you eagerly and earnestly. Your memories tell you that this much is honest. Not every leader cares if a subservient Wyvern dies in their service, so they tend to appreciate any signs of mercy, as they can't always count on it being the case.||
  128. 7 00:25:37] <JENTHULHU> I guage my memories to estimate how long it will take them to heal and for the young to grow.
  129. 7 00:25:56] <JENTHULHU> I also survey memories to see if they have any knowledge of other inhabitants of the titan
  130. 7 00:28:05] <Panda|GM> Wyvern tend to grow fast to counter how short and brutal their lives are. The oldest Wyvern that the Flock Leader knew of was his mother, who managed to survive to several dozen years and it took only half of another year for the Leader himself to grow to maturity. These younglings were on the cusp of their first Call, and after that, they would've
  131. 7 00:28:05] <Panda|GM> been sent out to learn how to scout and hunt.
  132. 7 00:28:25] <Panda|GM> Given a full week of no particularly strenuous activity, the Wyvern wings would repair themselves.||
  133. 7 00:28:34] <Panda|GM> -||
  134. 7 00:29:42] <Panda|GM> Aside from a few birds and other prey and a lone inhabitant from the Clockwork City, the Leader found nothing else since he landed. And he scared off the latter, as it was small and couldn't communicate it's worth with him.||
  135. 7 00:29:59] <Panda|GM> nothing else - no other inhabitants*
  136. 7 00:30:39] — JENTHULHU heads out to survey where it had been, to see if it had returned, and where it might have fled, surveying the volcano more closely while at it.
  137. 7 00:31:20] <Panda|GM> Turns out, the creature was actually at the base of the volcano. Which bubbled from your perspective, but didn't seem to be close to erupting. Merely constantly spewing smoke.
  138. 7 00:31:35] <JENTHULHU> What variety of them was it?
  139. 7 00:31:41] <Panda|GM> You guessed that after a few more growths, the lava wouldn't harm you.
  140. 7 00:32:35] <Panda|GM> The creature was small and rusted when the Leader found the Clockwork Golem, made from broken crystal and rusted iron. It was thrown off of the Titan shortly after being encountered and shattered into pieces.
  141. 7 00:32:58] <Panda|GM> The small cliff it took refuge under was surprisingly cool, considering it was under a volcano.
  142. 7 00:33:31] <Panda|GM> A few pieces of armor was laid out. Almost in the shape of another Clockwork Golem.
  143. 7 00:33:39] <Panda|GM> Maybe the creatures were built, not living?||
  144. 7 00:34:34] <JENTHULHU> Daariv takes a bite of one, to consider composition, and see if eating the armor had any effect. If none, she flew down to its shattered remains testing those.
  145. 7 00:35:20] <Panda|GM> It seemed to be of a harder steel than you'd encountered from the ore you'd eaten. Was almost comparable to your own armor, especially considering there was no magic infusing it.
  146. 7 00:35:42] <Panda|GM> Down below, the shattered remains of the Clockwork Golem rise from the ground though it's mostly submerged.
  147. 7 00:35:47] <Panda|GM> Testing this armor was...different.
  148. 7 00:35:54] <Panda|GM> It tasted /amazing/.
  149. 7 00:36:16] <Panda|GM> Electric in composition in a way that you'd never felt, you instinctively knew it indicated magic running through it's core.
  150. 7 00:36:28] <Panda|GM> Though your relative inexperience leaves you incapable of deciphering the effect.
  151. 7 00:36:42] <Panda|GM> Tasting another piece unveils something partially hidden.
  152. 7 00:37:08] <Panda|GM> It's a glowing orb with rusted metal circling mostly around it, shining the same color as the Towering Titan...||
  153. 7 00:38:21] — JENTHULHU considers, taking the orb with her, along with more meat, before spending the night at the locale of the Sirens, and, in the morning, using mind break on the orb as a test.
  154. 7 00:39:04] <Panda|GM> The night passes uneventfully and in the morning, your test...does not go the way you expect.
  155. 7 00:39:46] <Panda|GM> Your Mind Break is reflected back on you and you /feel/ something...incomprehensibly ancient and powerful sifting through your memories as easily as you'd sift through the grass for food.
  156. 7 00:40:37] <Panda|GM> Several hours later, after your paralysis wears off, and you become aware of your surroundings again instead of merely overwhelming terror, you find that you're in the same spot you were in, with a Wyvern's teeth clamped around your neck, shaking viciously.
  157. 7 00:40:52] <Panda|GM> It's doing absolutely nothing to budge you, but it's trying so hard.||
  158. 7 00:42:37] <JENTHULHU> She firmly pulls the Wyvern off her, setting it on the ground, examining which one it was.
  159. 7 00:43:59] <Panda|GM> It was the greenish Elder. And he's trembling in terror, even while trying to chirp his way out of it by giving vocalization to concern, loyalty, and glory. Appealing to your sense of vanity, which most Wyvern possess.||
  160. 7 00:47:16] <JENTHULHU> She adds, in blue metal, a new crest to the choker, pointing at the blue one. She informs him that he now belongs to Blue, though naturally Daariv's commands come first, but her is Blue's possession now, and her word carries as much authority as Daariv's, and disobedience to Blue will be treated as disobedience of Daaviv.
  161. 7 00:47:46] <JENTHULHU> And she makes it quite clear what further disobedience will mean.
  162. 7 00:48:26] <Panda|GM> A confused squawk follows this pronouncement before hesitant and fearful acceptance. More platitudes and honoring of your glory comes afterwards before they slink away.||
  163. 7 00:50:30] <JENTHULHU> She nods, flying to the city again, same location.
  164. 7 00:53:09] <Panda|GM> You find that there are citizens occupying your location. Namely, the Clockwork Golem from your original encounter, flanked by several (five) golem who look strikingly similar to it. They all look at you as you show up, but none make any overt movements, hostile or otherwise.||
  165. 7 00:53:44] — JENTHULHU holds out the orb, in such a way they might take it from her.
  166. 7 00:54:10] <Panda|GM> This gains a response.
  167. 7 00:55:11] <Panda|GM> With something like shock and awe, five of the constructs kneel while "your" Golem steps forward and takes the orb gently and reverently, before looking up at you in a way that indicates that it has acknowledged and thanked you for your offer.
  168. 7 00:55:20] <Panda|GM> )zzzzznzzzzzzztzzzzz(||
  169. 7 00:58:31] <JENTHULHU> Daariv nods in response, assuming a neutral position and seeing how they react beyond that.
  170. 7 01:01:19] * soulpelt|Wink is now known as soulpelt|sleep
  171. 7 01:02:11] <Panda|GM> "Your" Golem turns and buzzes something to one of those flanking it, before handing the orb gently to it and turning to another and chirping at them.
  172. 7 01:02:54] <Panda|GM> At once, the four remaining after the orb-carrier scurries away downstairs start a loud buzzing noise which seems to resonate in the air and cause larger vibrations beyond what you can hear.
