  1. Chat Mod Guide
  2.
  3.
  4. • #ban-offenses: What is considered a mute, warn, or ban can often at times be a judgement call. However, we do have rules put in place that must also be followed. These rules, that include the punishments for players breaking them, can be found in ban-offenses.
  5.
  6. • #ban-proof: Any permanent, or soft-bans, must include proof. Otherwise we have nothing to show for if a player appeals their ban. Make sure to take the proof before you ban them, as it often will delete their messages. Proof must be provided in ban-proof; the formatting of how you should type the proof can be found in one of the pinned messages of the channel.
  7.
  8. • Commands: We have multiple bots used in this discord, the ones you will be using will be Dyno and Mee6.
  9. (Delete mod commands after they have been executed).
  10.
  11. Dyno Commands:
  12.

  25.
  26.
  27. *modlogs [@user/UserID]

  56. Keep in mind that you represent the server, not just yourself. Act professionally when dealing with issues.
  57. Rules to keep in mind when Moderating Chats
  58.
  59.
  60. • #general-chat: While this is intended for general discussion, we need to ensure that players are not self-promoting, trying to find other users to join their games, being rude to others, speaking inappropriately, or breaking any other rules.
  61.
  62.
  63. • #looking-for-players: This chat is meant for players who are looking to find other users to play with. This is the only chat meant for this purpose, besides those who are looking for a permanent duo or team, which they can find in #team-recruitment.
  64.
  65. All messages in this chatter must be two lines or less - delete all that are longer and mute / warn.
  66.
  67.
  68. • #team-recruitment: This chat is for players and organizations looking to recruit others. This chat has a longer time-out than other channels, meaning that users can't use this chat as often. This is to prevent spam as well as allowing players to view the messages of others. While this chat takes much less moderation than others, it should still be checked every once in a while to ensure that players or organizations / clans aren't abusing it, and typing up an entire page.
  69.
  70.
  71. • #scrims-chat: This is the most frequently used chat in the discord, with the next being general-chat. Things to watch out for in this chat are mostly toxicity, name-calling, and continuous arguing. Please always start with a message towards them, letting them know to stop, take it to the DMs, or speak to one another in a less aggressive manner. If they do not comply, then a mute and warn may be needed.
  72.
  73.
  74. Do not abuse your powers in any of these chats, act professionally at all times as you are representing Atlantis, and use your best judgement for each scenario you encounter.
  75. PUNISHMENTS
