  12. Hello all, welcome to the 1st LuminousV2.5 Staff meeting, before we begin I’d like to say that we will be trying to host these once a month from now on. Record if you like, send your recordings to the Sr. Staff so that we can give them to Moderators that couldn’t make it.

  16. SURVIVAL GAMES - Bayeh:
  17. As most of you probably know, the administration and development team have recently rolled out a huge change to our Survival Games part of the network. We have gone ahead and added a Beta phase for staff members, if you and other staff members want a game, feel free to join away! If you stumble across any bugs, don’t hesitate to let the development know via #development-reports in slack.

  19. STAFF BEHAVIOUR - 5Ocal:
  20. I know this is anti-climactic coming from me, but on a more serious note recent behaviour of various staff members has been unacceptable. We as staff are here to set a good example for the rest of the community. Abusing perms to give ranks is unacceptable, friendly banter is ok, to an extent. There is a time and a place.

  22. TRAININGS - Andrew:
  23. Forums and teamspeak training is currently a priority and will be running soon. Once you begin your run as moderator, you have 2 months to attend a training. If you do not attend and don’t have a valid reason for not attending you risk being demoted. If you however have been trained in this department please disregard this note.

  25. REPORTING BUGS - Alyssa:
  26. We have noticed a large amount of bug reporting through teamspeak and not slack, please note that having written reports is better than just telling us in person, as having it written in slack increases the ability of the developers to get it fixed much faster. The channel “#development-reports” has a soul purpose of keeping these in written form for developers to look up and fix on the spot.

  28. NETWORK ACTIVITY - Alyssa:
  29. So recently we got a new addon for the website which allows us to see how active the staff team are on the forums. We will start bringing this plugin into action once the forums start getting used a lot more than they currently are. We’ll update you either via slack or another staff meeting when we are starting to use. While we are on this topic, we would like to mention that slack will be a part of the staff activity checks, and should be a priority over teamspeak.

  32. The administration team have noticed a bit of shit talking about corn. This is not tolerated and as such we are not taking it as a joke anymore. Demotions WILL be made.

  34. PROMOTIONS - 5Ocal:
  35. Recently we have noticed a huge improvement in someone's work here at Luminous. This person has only had a small run, but has done work for me personally for a long time, I have seen a huge improvement. Most of you probably remember UniqueArtz or Jason, this person has worked for him in the past. They have gone ahead and made video showcase of their unfinished work, made methods to things the administrative team loved. They have shown us that they are capable of holding a position higher than their own. Thank you, and congratulations to ThatKawaiiSam for achieving Developer. :)

  37. WARNING SYSTEM - Andrew:
  38. We will be starting a warning system will be put in place. This is to prevent people breaking the rules and keep you guys stuck to the ways we expect staff members to behave. We don’t want you guys to act like the regular members as that can look bad on our behalf. This being said we will be implementing the warning system which each staff member will be given three chances, or “strikes”. Once you use up this chance you will be demoted to a probation period. This is pretty much a good behaviour bond for the “Bad staff” which we will look more closely on. Once you step out of place you will be demoted, no questions asked.

  40. SHIT-TALKING SERVERS - Alyssa:
  41. So recently we have noticed a bit of shit-talking towards other shitty servers. This is NOT tolerated as of after this meeting. If you are caught shit-talking these servers on their own server or towards the server staff/owners, giving our server a bad name, you will be issued a warning.
