chickens

I was reading "Chickens" magazine and found that humans are as stupid as chickens in two important ways, maybe stupider.

The first way is chickens have a "pecking order." The top chicken pecks the one below it and that one pecks the one below it, and so on, until the poor bottom chicken, whom everybody picks. This seems stupid and mean because humans have exactly the same pecking order, although most hide it from themselves, especially if they're "spiritual."

The second is if you introduce a new chicken to the group they may peck it to death since they fear anything "alien." Need I say more about our current politics. But here is an oddity. If you introduce ducks they don't peck them.  Ducks are too alien - and don't compete with the pecking order so they are ignored.

Which means that the noobs who hate Mexicans and Muslims probably wouldn't mind if Real aliens landed. No supposed job competition for one thing. Yeah, I know, aliens are feared in the "Supergirl" TV series, but that's for dramatic purposes. I think most people would see peaceful aliens as a nice break from the insanity of other humans.
