**Out Of Character Element**
Following the end of my character Benjamin Amato in the Magellan Avenue crew, I wanted to turn my focus towards licit corporate roleplay whilst retaining an element of involvement with Italian-American organised crime. I began roleplaying Paul as a 'Venice Beach style' bodybuilder with the intention of getting involved in the logistics industry on GTAW. I got myself involved with Blue Water Logistics, before opting to just rent vehicles from the docks as it was preferable to driving to Sandy Shores. Nervous increased my delivery count to 2000 following a conversation regarding my plans to establish a trucking company on the server and I have completed approx 50 deliveries as a freelance driver using my own Pounder truck. At this point, I feel as though I have learned how a typical trucking company on the server works and I would like to build on this on my own experiences as a courier driver.

Magellan Avenue Crew is the faction which this business will closely associate itself with, however, the ownership of the Jetsam West Coast of the United States is held by Paul Donati who has a clean criminal record.

Regarding the location chosen for the business, I wanted to be based in Los Santos and figured the docks had the best options with regards to import & export truck warehouses. On Elysian Island, I believe this the only location that is not behind private gates or related to the gas industry. I inquired about the location OOCly with Nervous who queried Bjork and informed me that this location is available.

I intend to ICly raise funds to build a small fleet of trucking mission vehicles and with the involvement of members of the Magellan Avenue Crew, expand Jetsam and challenge the already much-established trucking companies on the server.

I have participated on GTAW for over two years, returning after a long break about 2-3 months ago now. I'm enjoying my involvement on the server, balancing this with my career in marketing in my leisurely time. I intend to run this business long term, as I have proven to be able to uphold a legitimate business on a roleplay server for 5+ years (Capitol Tower, LSRP since May 2014-2019) https://forum.ls-rp.io/viewtopic.php?f=1407&t=379086

Rather than roleplaying as mechanics, as Bluewater do, we will involve external garage companies to maintain our fleet of vehicles and will intend to interact with the server and build a presence on the server, rather than entirely focusing on the bottom line profit margin.

I feel I have the experience from working as part of the Bluewater fleet and working as a freelance trucker to the point where I feel this is the next stage in my character progression.

**In-Character Element**
Paul Donati is an Italian American from Vespucci Beach in his late twenties. Paul was destined to become a professional tennis player, showing promising signs in his youth and he received multiple scholarships including at Bethel University. In his second year of college, Paul was found with multiple performance-enhancing prohibited drugs in a routine blood test. Paul was subsequently forced to leave his college, banned from regulated professional tennis for two years and was left in debt due to the conditions of his scholarship that he had infringed. Paul later failed at establishing himself as a personal fitness trainer. He even attempted to move into selling steroids and other performance-enhancing products to the Vespucci Beach regulars until the demand plummetted after Tank, a well-known bodybuilder in the community fell ill. This led Paul into looking for an alternative career route in courier work at Bluewater Logistics.

Paul worked for Bluewater Logistics for several years and found solace in the unsociable conditions. Having to relocate to Sandy Beach was a tall ask for Paul, considering he was born and raised in Los Santos and had no ties or connections to anyone beyond Vespucci. He managed to clean up his act of using harmful, short-term minded performance-enhancing substances and became very much money-driven to replace his previous profound fitness addiction. Paul even managed to acquire a Heavy-Goods-Vehicle license in his time working at Bluewater, allowing him to drive vehicles in excess of 33,001 pounds classed at 8, the maximum for trucks. When a close family member's health conditions took a turn for the worst, Paul knew it was time to come home to Vespucci but was conflicted, as Bluewater was the best-paid work he had ever had.

Paul returned to Vespucci and contacted an old friend, Dom Cozzo, managing to strike a quick investment opportunity. The additional funds provided Paul with the ability to purchase his own eight-wheeler Skanksa truck and work freelance, utilising a previous Jetsam connection from Bluewater to gain key delivery contracts for tires across multiple garages in Los Santos. Following their continued success and increasing wealth from Paul's current delivery activities, they are looking to purchase into the Jetsam franchise for the West Coast of the United States. Following an agreed 'pepper-corn' payment plan with the Jetsam global headquarters in Denmark, Paul was able to purchase the trucking lot on Elysian Island in the South of Los Santos and open the Jetsam main port office.
