— from a small neighborhood, yunbi strives to better her family's conditions. in high school, specifically in tenth grade, her parents divorced due to her father having affairs. when her mother soon noticed the reasons behind her father coming late at night, it was the start of speculations then one thing happened after another then her father stopped sending money and moved overseas to be with his other family.

she had to comfort her mother for the time being while still retaining her grades. to pay for annual fees for school, she sold some of her clothes and took up a temporary job at a salon and a fast food joint for extra payment while managing being a student. her mother became distraught after yunbi's father took into custody her two siblings, leaving only yunbi and her mother. she took seriously her studies but her mother soon neglected her health and fell ill after endless worrying and falling into depression which needed yunbi to care for her at all times and meant that their money income wouldn't be as strong as before.

yunbi still continues to work different professions but she aspires to centre herself in culinary arts in the near future. she aspires to inspire through simple cuisines just as her mother did for her. when she cooks, it reminds her of home again. she isn't angry at anyone, she just needs a break.

— ahn seohee, mother, 50 [ she relies on yunbi more than anything — mentally, physically, and emotionally. after the divorce, she's been more needy and yunbi tries to give her all to fulfill every one of her mother's wishes ]

— ahn yookjae, father, 52 [ not an entirely bad guy as her mother depicts him as. he's hardworking like her and keeps in touch with yunbi from time to time even if he busies himself in his work in milan. he doesn't miss his previous life but he wishes for yunbi the best since she didn't deserve all of this to happen to her. quite close but she doesn't really talk too much to him anymore these days ]

— ahn saejin and ahn yeonsoo, younger siblings / twins / girl and boy, both 15 [ juniors, in the father's custody. again, they talk from time to time but it gets fewer and fewer since timezones clash and they don't feel like siblings anymore after what had happened. ]

— she’s too loving. when she cares for a certain person, she gives every bit of affection she has to make sure that that person feels that they deserve every bit that she gives. she's quite patient when it comes to things because she knows things don't happen in a blink of an eye and she has learned that the hard way. she loves taking care of people as she's been raised like that ever since. yunbi never forgets to thank and forgive the people around her but it's not always great. even if she's not the one to make mistakes she'll repeat her apologies until she is reassured she's forgiven. yunbi also has the habit of being neglectful or forgetful since she has a lot of things in mind.

and even though she's understanding, there will be times, when pushed to a certain point, she will get angry. her being angry isn't really shouting or even getting mad, she just cries because her disappointment is always towards herself. yunbi nags sometimes but it's just her playful side. she can also be rather ignorant and stubborn when it comes to things she has no interest in.

— he's absolutely kind, a gentleman at that. he has humour but rarely says jokes because there's never a relevant time. he's also hardworking but not as much as yunbi. loves playing around and sometimes annoys people when he goes too far. he smiles a lot which radiates and catches attention from other people fast.

•   how did they meet? ::
— at a night when yunbi was cramming for an exam, her friends forced her to a party downtown which she declined. after more begging from her party freaks friends, she agreed but only for a while [which turned out to be longer than expected]. she danced 'til she passed. the alcohol took hold of her before she knew it. she passes a boy [in her alcoholic state] and danced with him until she made the accident of kissing him.

he apologizes but the next day he finds the same boy as one of her customers at a café she works in and at first she didn't want to engage in any conversation knowing what she did that one night but he was too open to exchanging information. as the days passed, they became closer and even if he did have a girlfriend, they went on dates and was infatuated with each other dearly.

— he was at first surprised, of course. he thought she was one of those careless party girls seeing her behaviour that night and what she wore. he also thought she would stand him up knowing he already had a girlfriend. but all those previous thoughts diminished into nothing. he now learns she's more than what he thought of her before.

•   your character's first impression of her love interest ::
— she first thought he was cocky or flamboyant. maybe even boisterous but none of those things. she now learns he's really humble and sweet and they go together well. there was also a specific time when she thought when he was a snob because he wasn't willing to start a conversation at first. their perspective changed as soon as they talked more and more.

•   how does your character act around her love interest? ::
— she's like honey towards him. she utilizes her swell cooking abilities and makes him simple sweet pastries like brownies and cookies and gives it to him. when his girlfriend calls, yunbi has to keep quiet and sometimes gets agitated when he takes a while to answer back the text message or call. she doesn't mind really but no one likes being neglected, of course. he feeds him his food, cuddles with him, hugs him, holds hands anywhere, gives him pecks on the cheeks, forehead, nose, neck [basically anywhere he allows her to kiss].

•   how does the love interest act around your character? ::
— he loves her ways of showing affection. it's sweet and all but when it gets too much, he would need to endure it for her sake since he doesn't want yunbi to feel uncomfortable. he shows affection but not at such extent. he likes being babied. moreover, he has a void for affection as well that his girlfriend gives him.

•   why did she fall in love with a man whose heart is already taken? ::
— with all the stress she faces on a day to day basis, she thought, it wouldn't hurt to love. at first it wasn't about love, she poured whatever affection she had and doubled it. it was about letting out her feelings, her love that she couldn't give to her siblings now that they're not here and not to her mother now that she barely is alive [she's terribly sick]. when she saw him it was an opportunity she wasn't sure of taking but he was willing so no matter how much yunbi doubted herself, she always ended up loving him. and no matter what, she continued to love him, regardless if his heart wasn't hers.
