background: He was born and raised in Daegu till he became a sixth grader. His father's job was relocated in Seoul and his parents wanted him to have a better opportunity so they decided to move into Seoul. He is the youngest in his family as his older sister and brother both are in college, his sister is studying to become a pediatrician while his brother is studying to be an architect. He grew up with high expectations in high school and in his family after his two siblings doing well but Jonghyun never thought about it. He strived hard and when things didn't go well then he would learn from it and try again. His sister dragged him to a lot of kpop concerts when she was in high school so his love for music just grew from there. His family was a little iffy about his dream at first but knew that they can trust him because he dedicates himself to anything.
