  1. As he set down another wheelbarrow of bricks, Jade Avero knew he had to leave Cerulean.
  2. Sure, the city was beautiful, with a deep blue river flowing lazily to the west giving the city its name. A large wooden bridge stretched across it (Jade's family had helped build it) and a cave lay past the river, connecting to the labyrinth of underground passageways that hid inside the Kanto mountain range. The city itself was still in development, but already a few tourists from Ferrum had flown by for a dip in the Cerulean River. It helped that the more dangerous pokemon had already been cleared out of the area, too. Most of them, anyway...
  3. Jade caught himself staring at the cave again and gave his head a shake. If he kept stopping like this the Rockt overseers would notice! He had to keep working. There would be enough time for daydreaming after the bricks were laid.
